Hello Sherry,
I live in Montreal and will be receiving embryos donated by a couple in Tucson, US.
We are in the process of preparing the contract, required by the donors' clinic in order to release the embryos.
We don't have a lawyer, but we know there is at least one here, Doreen Brown.
What we have is a notary. Here in Quebec notaries have a legal background, they study law for 3 years and then they have 1 year of specialization to become notaries. My question is, do you think a contract prepared
by the notary using a template (there are lots of models online) will be enough and accepted?
I haven't contacted our notary or Doreen for a quote yet, but we have the possibility to share a Texas' lawyer fee with the other recipient, and that costs US$600 (more than C$800), too much for us. We are paying loads for the shipping!
Thank you very much in advance
