Hi!

I'm looking to hear from anyone about their experiences with the Kitchener location since they started operating as a full service facility. I have been a patient in Ottawa but considering a switch if we pursue another round of IVF this year. Also, what was the wait time to get a consultation?

Very grateful for any feedback you have!

Hi taitertot!

We started our IVF journey at One Fertility, but quickly changed over to TCART for a few reasons:

1) we didn't trust the lab staff. On more than one occasion they were confused about what tests we were there for, and what supplies we needed.

2) I didn't find the admin staff very friendly and despite me having been there a number of time they never knew who I was

3) at the time three women from my work who had started there and done a number of procedures without success switched to TCART and were successful

Now, that being said TCART has not been perfect either! If you want more info about them send me a message and I'd be happy to share my experience.

Thanks very much Vicchick33! Sorry I didn't get a notification that anyone had replied so I missed this. Very helpful information. I have a friend with a positive experience and now this balances that out somewhat. It's the same with my current clinic.  I have had negative experiences but I know people who love it. Toronto is harder to cycle at because I have family in K-W I could stay with. I will PM  you get more info though!

Here goes my experience!

I had to wait 3-5 months to hear back on the referral from my family doctor. I was told they would call me back with in week( after i had waited  4 moths). No one called back, so I followed back and got an appointment for 3 moths after that.

initial Consultation was ok. We had to wait on the doctor for atleast 1.5 hours and even then he left the room several times and didn't comeback for atleast 1/2 hour later.

I was told to come with full bladder for ultrasound but  then i wasn't  taken in for 2.5 hours( after my husband made several inquiries and was told that we are the next). The explanation was o we weren't looking at both screens!!( this was very upsetting!!!)

I agree with above that lab staff never knew what tests you were there for and also for me when i reviewed my file the same test that were done just once on the same day had several different values on different pages( This is huge especially when you are trusting them with IVF!)

On our review appointment, it was at 7:30 Am we didn't see the doctor until 9:15! and then we was very rushed with his review and extremely push with us moving to IVF ASAP!

We didn't go back, paid and got our files and went to TRIO in Toronto ( bonus is with TRIO I am able to do all the monitoring in KW!!)
