 Here's a question for the gals who have been through this process and 2ww before..
HPT..when would it be accurate? Obviously now is too early...due for my beta on Mar.28th
But...is the prob with HPT's that due to the HCG shot we took before ER it would be false BFT???
What have the rest of you guys done? Were you able to wait for beta???
THis 2 ww is gonna be the longest of my life :wall:
let alone 9 months after that...lol

The HCG shot is usually out of your system within a week. If you can wait for your beta without testing that's what I would recommend. If not, then test like one day before beta, as testing too early can give you inaccurate result, and all of that stress is not worth it.

Best of luck,

patience-In my opinion I would wait for the beta. It will be the best indicator. If you do a hpt I would do it 1 or 2 days max before beta. Good luck to you. I hope you get your BFP!!

I know it is so difficult to wait - I only did the HPT because our test date fell on Sunday and I had to wait to Monday for clinic test.

 thanks for the info everyone......
I'm basically going nuts here...over-examining every little "twinge"...but..that seems to be "normal"...
It's not like I haven't had to wait before...like every month...timing sex/ovulation..then waiting to see if my period came...
Guess I'll just have to suck it up...lol

:icon_cry: Well I broke down and did a HPT...I'm 11dp3dt..it was -ve.
It was 1st am pee...anyways..I ofcourse hold out foolish hope of a +ve beta on Fri...but since I'm back to work that day...I wanted to be prepared for the -ve in the peace and seclusion of my own home.
I don't know how some of the gals on this forum have done this 3-4 times...
We have 5 embies on ice...which we will prob transfer this summer maybe..cause they are already there...
UGH!!! This is awful!!!

I dont think i could hold off until my beta either. I plan to test a day or 2 before, just so im prepared for the worst when i go for the beta. Like you said, i'd rather deal w/ it alone first then be broken by the results the dr gives me. But i will hold off as long as possible. I'm only 4dpt :(

:icon_cry: official BFN yesturday!!!! UGH! Very discouraged! CAuse "theoretically" things went as they should..had great embies!! They just didn't implant! Will take a few months to heal..then think about FET!
Thanks to all on this blog...you've kept me "sane"...we are all going through one of the most difficult times of our lives..and sometimes we need to vent about how we feel with others to "get" how this IF makes us feel...all the well intentioned friends I have...just don't get it! No one does...til you go through it yourself!
I have a great DH who's very helpful...need to count the blessings I have..

Hi Patience,

I'm so sorry about your loss. It is the most awfull news to hear.
I was there last month and took one month to get back on track. Take all the time you need to grieve and to get your mind and body ready for your FET.

I noticed you're at Conceptia too. I just went for my first FET on Thursday. The FET cycle is WAY easier on our body than a fresh cycle! There's nothing to it!

Like you, I had great embryos for the transfer and didn't expect to get a negative result at all. I keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason. (as crummy as that feels to say!)
Anyways, hang in there....we're all here for you.

Take care,
Doremi

patience-I'm so sorry to hear about your bfn :(. I've been in your shoes (as many other too) & I know it really hurts. Take time to grieve this loss & you'll know when your ready to move on to the FET. All the best on your journey.
