When I first looked on the internet at boards related to IVF I kept seeing women referring to their DH. I thought it stood for Damn Husband.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around half the accronym related to IF. I always thought people were saying "if" not IF and the sentences would never make sense.

I don't know how many times I would ask DW to help decipher such things as C/M (cervical mucous), M/S (morning sickness). Men don't have this...how any I expected to understand it.

At times during the process when my DW would experience her mood swings, I sometimes thought that DH stood for Dead Husband! Gulp!

Rick that is hysterical. what about DD and DS? I can't imagine anyone would refer to their children that way! too funny.

thanks for posting the acronym list - wow it's grown since last I checked it! 3 more that could be added are HS for homestudy, SW for social worker and CAS for children's aid society - commonly used in adoption forum websites, and since we've got a nice adoption buddy area on this site they are starting to crop up in there.
