I wish I had a dollar for every time the goal posts at work changed without me knowing it.

I wish I had a dollar for every time there's a Translink service interruption in Greater Vancouver.

Who stole ambushed my stork?  So many failed cycles with nothing to show but bills, receipts, and empty bottles of medications/herbs/supplements. See my profile for details...

UPDATE: I'm counting the days and hours waiting for this miracle to unfold. Christina Perri's A Thousand Years pretty much sums up my experience.

It was long, awful & hard. We got very lucky and didn't run out of both emotional and financial resources. We saw some of the most beautiful of people in our lowest moments. Baby Girl arrived Apr 10/2018

For every time I got unsolicited parenting advice.... or medical advice.... or IF advice!

Ok, let's just modify this one to anytime I get unsolicited advice!

For every time someone used the phrases: "Have you ever considered?", "Why don't you just?" ,"Have you tried?"

We should get more than a dollar for this!  This morning I was rocking out to some full blast Bon Jovi and it was sunny and a great day......and then I got stuck behind someone going 30 in the 50 zone.  Nothing kills a Bon Jovi high faster than having to drive 30.  We should get $100 for that.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I hit the "refresh" button when waiting for the online results of my blood test.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I did not get two lines on an hpt.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I see people who shouldn't have children and do...(and have multiples who only end up in the system)

I wish I had a dollar for every time I am reminded that life is brutally unfair

I wish I had a dollar for every time I got cranky responses from family when I ask what is in the food they're serving.

Married: August 2010

Started Adoption Process:  January 2013

Started Researching Surrogacy: August 2016

Found Embryos: November 2016

Matched with Surrogate: April 2017, all adoption put on hold (never matched with a child)

Surrogate's First Transfer: July 2017 (one FET) - BFP, but m/c or chemical (unsure, since second beta rose more than 60%, but third beta dropped)

Surrogate's  Second Transfer: October 2017 (one FET) - BFN

Surrogate's Third Transfer: December 2017 (double transfer) - BFN

Moving on to donor eggs...

New donor embryos available!!! Trying with them

Surrogate's Fourth Transfer:  February 2018 - was to be a double transfer, but one did not survive thawing, so single transfer; First beta - 685!!!!!; Beta #2 - 1594!!!  eusa_dance.gif yahoo.gif

First ultrasound (at 7 weeks, 2 days): Heart rate of 154 bpm, measuring slightly behind (just under 7 weeks)

Second ultrasound (9 weeks, 1 day):  Heart rate of 170 bpm, measuring small (again) at a little under 9 weeks.  Basically, it is growing at a good pace, just small - UPDATE:  heart rate is 175 bpm according to an email from the clinic!

Harmony tests show that we are low risk and we're Team babyboy.gif
