...they just can't swim.

DH managed to produce a small sample of ejaculate on our second try at PEU, which shows 141mm/mL.  I'm SO EXCITED, because I really wasn't certain we would have anything to work with when we do TESE. Unfortunately, we have only 5% motility...and they didn't provide us results re: morphology.

Does anyone know of anything we can be doing to get those little guys swimming a bit better?  I'm tempted to start giving them pep talks.

Any experiences doing TESE / ICSI / IVF with low-motility sperm?

Anyone else find it weird / hilarious talking openly and candidly about sperm (because it makes me giggle)? icon_lol.gif

As always, I appreciate you feedback!

Congrats! I would look through this thread before the TESE: https://ivf.ca/forums...?hl=+pesa +icsi

If I could go back in time we would have done fresh over frozen. There are also some success stories of using supplements but we haven't tried that yet.

You are funny :)

I have friends who have seen improvement when using Fertilaid.

I also read the following (for 3 months) is helpful - CoQ10, Folic acid, Vitamin A, Omegas

Good luck to you!

Notorius. DH took FertilPro with L-cartinine for 6 weeks, and it improved his DNA fragmentation from 37% to 8% (below 25% is good). It supposedly also improves motility. At $70/3 month supply, it's pretty reasonable too.

I have a friend who was told they only had a 2% chance of conceiving because of hubby's sperm. He took Fertilaid for 3 months and they now have 2 kids all naturally conceived.

We got major improvement with a supplement rec. by the clinic plus fish oil pills & extra vitamin C & vitamin E every day.

And no hot tubs, bicycle, jeans, jockey shorts, speedos.  'Keeping it cool!

Of course no smoking or other toxins that could hurt the sperm growth cycle.

About 3 months is the complete sperm life-cycle.  Good Luck!!!

My hubby did the TESA and it was a huge success and very little discomfort. Prior to it he was taking a high dose folic acid supplement and I think for us it made a difference.

Good luck!
