MCMiracle, love the pic!

IVFRookie, I was wondering when you'd join ;)
So funny, we transferred the same day and yet my dr. Told me I was due Jan 5th. Regardless, they're probably never right and baby will come whenever he/she pleases. I finally got a call from my ob. My second ultrasound is scheduled for June 24th I cannot wait! Then I have a follow up on July 5th. Once everything goes well with those apts I'll be sharing the news with friends!

Nothing much to report here - finally got a referral to an OB so I see him Tuesday. I have been feeling quite crappy so I am grateful for my prescription of diclectin which definitely helps with the nausea now if I could find something for lack of energy and headaches I would be golden ;) I had vowed not to complain about any symptoms of pregnancy due to all the hurdles we had to go through to get here and the fact that we were shocked it even worked but.....it's really trying for me. Everyone's telling me it gets better after the first trimester is over and I sure hope they are right

Hi everyone! I've been out of the loop lately but still reading through off and on. Things here are good. I had my first OB appt on Wednesday at 9 weeks and to my surprise they squeezed me in for an ultrasound right after my appointment, which was great. I wasn't expecting to have one and had peed everything out right before my appointment but they still managed to get the baby up on the screen messing right on 9 weeks. Heartbeat of 164! I go back for my 12 week ultrasound on June 21. :)

I've been feeling ok. Waves of nausea at times but nothing major. I'm really tired all of the time - that is probably my main symptom along with sore boobs.

Congrats to everyone moving along!

Apparently sour food helps with the nausea...not sure if anyone has any experience with that?

I am eating cherry tomatoes as if they're candy. Soooo delicious lol. I was sick for the first time a couple days ago. That wasn't fun. But then yesterday and today I'm not too bad.

I had a bit of a scare yesterday. Went to go do the dishes and had a big gush of bright red blood (ruined my brand new pants), managed to compose myself enough to call my clinic and they sent me straight to the assessment centre at the hospital. Turns out that the tiny SCH has grown so I'm now on restricted activity.

Cassandra- glad it was just a scare!

Congrats Jlawson on the first ultrasound.

I've been having weekly scans since I'm carrying twins that share a placenta, which puts them at a higher risk.  I appreciate the extra monitoring but it still puts me on edge the night before.  Today there was nothing much to report, they're still growing on schedule (9 weeks) and I saw one of them moving around.  Oh, and I get to finish my progesterone shots this week, yay!

I've been one of the lucky ones with minimal nausea.  My appetite is seriously out of control though!  I have to carry snacks everywhere I go, and all I want is the bad stuff like chips, burgers, fries.  I'm managing to keep it reasonably healthy, though definitely with the odd indulgence.

Cassandra - glad everything is ok.

I have low level nausea, if that makes sense. Enough that there are a lot of things I don't want to eat but not enough that prevents me from eating fairly normally. I can't have large or even previously normal portions of food though, or I get horrible stomach cramps. I also can't eat much meat. I've pretty much been eating beg because the idea of meat makes me queasy. I'm usually a candy girl but don't have an appetite for that either.

Did some pretty physical activity at work the other day and has cramping afterwards and into the night and continued on sporadically yesterday. My go wrote me off work until I see my OB tomorrow. More cramping this morning but not bleeding - thank god. Heard the heartbeat yesterday at my GPs, which was reassuring but the cramping jus concerning. Yesterday was also my 10 week mark so was supposed to stop my progesterone although I have some left so went down to taking 1 a day to use them up and wean off. Was also thinking that the lack of progesterone could have been compounding the issue.

Did anyone here wean off of progesterone (endometrin)? I was told I could stop completely at 10 weeks but since I have about 10 pods left thought I could wean off until they are used up. Any issues with that?

Cass-thank God everything is going well, that would of been a scare for sure!I hope all continues to go well.

Sol- I stopped progestrone suppositories after initial blood draw at about5-6 weeks. No bleeding occurred or nothing changed either. I weaned off for like3-4 days.

AFM - still waiting for 1st u/s. Ugh I feel like I have been saying that for ever!! It's on Monday, so it finally feels like it's getting closer. My symptoms kinda stopped. Don't know if that is a good thing or bad. Still tired though.

JLawson- very exciting!!

I am going to be 9 weeks tomorrow. Next u/s is next thursday. I get to stop all medication at 10 weeks. Can't wait!

I am one of the lucky ones in terms of nausea. I don't experience major morning sickness just mild ones here and there. I can swallow foods but everything just don't taste as good for me. Used to be a big eater now i can't barely finish a quarter of a sub. Sleep has been good but lots of vivid scary dreams. Energy level is still on the low side.
Come sooner second trimester!!!

Also to add here: I become so aware of my appetite - it changes day by day, last Friday suddenly became really bad, but since yesterday it was almost normal and today I even want to eat meat!! ....and i am terrified as it is only supposed to be getting worse, not better isn't it?

Again, the wait before the 1st u/s is killing me.....

Solo, that sounds really scary! Glad everything looks okay though! Can I ask, were your cramps like period cramps? I get bad stomach aches sometimes but it's more like where my stomach actually is, near my rib cage and not really in my uterus like period cramps would be. I'm hoping that's just having trouble with digestion or gas or something.

My appetite is definitely all over the place too. I get to stop suppositories on Saturday CANT WAIT!!!! Lol doctor told me to just stop, didn't need to wean off or anything and i have just enough to get me there so I hope that's all I need!

Hey guys, I'm supposed to stop my estrace and progesterone as of yesterday (10 weeks) I do have 3 progesterone tablets left so I was thinking of just taking one more dose tonight before bed. Monday morning I'm going for my prenatal screening blood work to find out if there's any Down syndrome or abnormalities. The bonus is I get to find out the sex when those results come in....hopefully within a week. Then my next ultrasound is the 24th.

I still get nauseous.... Every time I eat I get a terrible taste in my mouth, I NEED a gum after every meal, which then makes me burp like crazy and then want to vomit. Lol such a vicious cycle. My weight hasn't changed at all, actually because I've eaten healthier I initially went down about 5 pounds and have kept it off. I know that will change come second trimester.

Hey Cassandra!

Names are already set for DH and I. We're pretty traditional so it was easy for us. A boy will be Giovanni (Johnny) after my father, a girl will be Margaret Ann (Maggie) after my mother in law.

I feel so freeeee to not have to do those annoying supositories anymore but I'm so nervous at the same time. I've gone 2 days now without progesterone or estrace... It's so nice to not have to wear a liner and have blue/white discharge anymore lol. 2 more weeks of ASA and then it's just my prenatals and folic acid and a few other vitamins. It's crazy how from in the morning I go from a flat stomach to a super bloated 4 month looking belly by the end of the day! Any one else have crazy bloating??

I havent bought anything yet. I havent even really looked. The only thing that I plan on getting sooner than later is a rocking chair because I want a white wooden porch style one and those are a fairly seasonal item.

I got a surprise delivery last week from my aunt of a bouncy chair and some new born sleepers and honest to goodness less than 30 minutes after opening the box I had that big bleed. I really felt jinxed (although logically I know thats crazy). My aunt is starting chemo this week and I know that she is just worried about being too sick (or worse) to really be involved so shes getting a jump on things. I remember when my son was diagnosed, I wanted him to do so much before the chemo took hold so I can understand her position.

As for the bloat yes its terrible at night, in the morning its not so bad but by the end of the day after three meals and two shots of progesterone its pretty noticable

We probably won't start buying any stuff until the end of 2nd trimester. With so much unknown, it just doesn't feel right to even start planning for the baby other than taking care of myself (like the sickness) and making sure the baby is healthy.

really hope time flies and we can fully enjoy the moments, like buying all the cute outfits, set up the baby's room, think about things we could do during the maternity leave giggle.gif

I'm managing to keep it reasonably healthy, though definitely with the odd indulgence.

bb houseman, I found out I'm carrying twins too!! I just had my 7 weeks ultrasound last week and they saw 2 heartbeats. Ours are also identical (we only transferred one embryo), so they are definitely sharing an embryo. Are yours sharing a sac? My husband and I hadn't even though of the possibility of twins, so we were both so shocked. I feel quite stressed about the higher risk. How are you managing?

U/s was this am and baby is measuring 8weeks+2 days and heartbeat at 171 bpm! So excited and worries are gone now. Baby looks sooooo cute😍

I bought a changing pad and has been the only thing I bought last week cause it was such a steal and we'll need it. But felt weird buying it at the time. I think I will hold off for the summer and be more proactive in September.

Cass-was the bleeding due to sch?? Forgive me I cant remember! Hope all is good!
