Our darling son, Theo, arrived on February 19th at 9am. He weighed 6 pounds and 8 ounces - just a tiny little guy.

After ten years of trying to conceive, we tried IVF last May. Theo was the result of our very first IVF attempt, an attempt which saw me produce only 3 eggs and two embryos (only 4 and 5 cell on transfer day 3).

I am 43 (will be 44 next week) and my husband is 47. We are, I think, the oldest couple at our clinic to conceive with our own eggs.

We were given a 8% - 15% chance of success. I fee like we've won the lottery.

Best wishes to all of you on your IVF journeys. I hope that our story gives you hope.

So happy you are posting this, T-bird!!

Congrats!! He is a little miracle and a little cutie:) Look at these eyes!

I remember your story and how it encouraged me when we transferred 2 day-3 embryos that I wasn't sure were good since one was a 12-cell and the other a 5-cell. Well... I am now 28-week pregnant with a healthy baby girl:)

I didn't get the same luck you got with your eggs, but a donor will allow me to finally be a 42-year old first time mom sometime in May:) I couldn't be more grateful.

Congrats again and enjoy your little treasure!

Who stole ambushed my stork?  So many failed cycles with nothing to show but bills, receipts, and empty bottles of medications/herbs/supplements. See my profile for details...

UPDATE: I'm counting the days and hours waiting for this miracle to unfold. Christina Perri's A Thousand Years pretty much sums up my experience.
