My husband just had his semen analysis and everything seems to be good. His results are as follows...
Total count - 47,200,000 TZI normal
Motility - 70-80%
Activity score - 3
Forward progression - 3
Concentration - 11,800,000 (20 mil/ml is normal)
Liquefaction - yes
Morphology
Ideal - 4%
Head defects - 96%
Neck defects - 17%
Tail defects - 22%
Cytoplasmic droplets - 1%
TZI (teratozoospermia index) - 1.42 (less than or equal to 1.60 is considered normal)

So my question...everything seems to be normal except for the concentration number, it should be at least 20 million/ml but his is only 11.8 million. His doctor told him overall, he is gold and normal, but this number seems pretty low? Does anyone have any input on this? Also the defects part..does anyone know the interpretation of the percentages? Good or bad?? Thanks everyone 😊

If you're doing ivf or even iui you should be totally fine. My dhs numbers were much lower than this... And we had a successful pregnancy and birth.

Good luck!
