Hey, just curious who else is doing the Ontario funded IVF program?

How long did you have to wait to start your IVF?

If your fresh IVF didn't produce a BFP, how long do you have to wait to do a FET?

I'm on the list but they told me I wouldn't get my chance until almost the end of the year. Said I was way at the bottom :(
We went ahead with a paid cycle instead. I didnt want to wait that long

So I have a failed cycle in nov and immediately started a cycle in Dec as paid new ohip system -had a bfn with that but was told I could start immediately into my fet cycle. I've decided to wait a period in between.

Was on two wait lists when they opened as of last summer. ie. was only going to do another cycle if it was funded.

One clinic - immediately in.

Second clinic - said one month wait, then they flipped and said half a year, then they said even that wasn't a guarantee.

Went with the first!

Also curious about FETs. To be honest, I didn't think you could do a funded cycle and funded FET (separate from the IVF cycle transfer) within the same year.

I got on the wait list before my first appointment with the RE last November. RE told us last week that we would likely be sometime after June but the clinic had already called me to ask if all my tests were done as if not, I would get bumped down the list if I wasn't ready. The clinic had said they were checking patients for April-June and July - Sept. My fingers are crossed we are in there somewhere.  We are planning to freeze anything we get and I hadn't thought about the wait for FET. Maybe I can book that as soon as they give me a start date.

Currently on a wait list at OFC, signed the consent back in Dec, when I received my confirmation call in January, they said it would likely start by summer. Fingers crossed.

Just noticed this thread; there is another one in Intros, called "Ontario Covers 1 Round of IVF" that you can check out...

I have started my funded cycle at OFC, I am on day 5 of stims and doing well! We did our consent appointment in mid-October and got our call about 3 weeks later. We had been told late spring/early summer for our covered cycle, but we came up on the list at the end of January.

Fingers crossed we pull out a few good embryos to have a couple goes at it!

Baby dust to all!
