Hi Ladies,

I had my FET this Monday and had some cramping/twinges later on that evening.  Not sure if it's implantation...

The last two days I was literally on bed rest with my feet proped up.

I was just wondering if I should do some light walking to get the blood flow going to the uterus?

It's two days past my FET, not sure what I should do/shouldn't do....besides the bit of sharp cramping/twinges the evening after my FET and extreme gassiness even now, I don't seem to have any other symptoms (don't know if this normal).

Thank you, any insight will be greatly appreciated!

hi, i read your post and was wondering what your outcome was, i am 3dp5dt and i felt cramping the same night as well ( yesterday also) and not so much today .. sometimes but really not as frequent...

I had an. Fet yesterday and yransferred 2 day 3frosties and I plan to do everything I did last time I did my d/e fresh and got a bfp with dd. I'm also eating pineapple, staying off my feet as much as possible. The difference is i'm going to cut the pop out. Last time I had it every other day and a week before I found it was bfp was I didn't crave it. I also had to get up between. 2am to 4am Dailey and have a snack because I was so gungry. I felt a full feeling last time after transfer and acupuncture. I wasn't feeling it until a. Little today. I have taken the 2ww off from work and won'( go back until i've had the u/s at 6 or 7 weeks in case there's any restrictuon that the dr. Will have.

I was travelling during 2ww, so was walking a lot! I had done an FET and started HPT at 7dp5dt and got a bfp right away. I was carrying twins though, so likely explains why I had strong BFP and loads of pregnancy symptoms long before beta. Lost twin B around 7 weeks, but still pregnant now at 11 weeks with twin A.

When I did my fresh with a donar, I got a positive on yhe hpt 13 dpt. When I had the beta, the numbers were 2700 which I suspected was twins but when we got to the 6 wk u/s there was one heartbeat detected. I do got Pg sings before beta and that was one of the reasons I did an hpt.

I have done an hot on 4 & 5 dpt both were negative but I think it was just way to early. I am still having spotting today and it is going from red to brown and back. I want to test again but I am afraid it will still come back bfn. I think I will wait for my beta on 12/5. Good luck ladies.

Punkyb- your 2ww is almost over. Good luck! Update when you can. The spotting could be from the progesterone suppositories. My re said that can happen with them. Did you do a fresh or fet? Good luck! I am just into the dreaded 2ww. I hope it goes by fast!

Thanks. I go on Friday but I did another hpt yesterday at 8dp6dt and got a bfn. I am not going to do another one though. I will still hold out hope. This was an fet with only one 4bb blast. I had a chemical pregnancy the end of September and am really hoping this one sticks. We won't be able to do it again until June as we will have to get the money for it again. We don't have any coverage.

When do you go for your beta?

2wk wait activity: saved a stray Mexican can and spayed her and immigrated her to Canada. Ate lots, slept lots, walked on the beach lots.
Car crash on April 11th led to blood tests and led to positive preg result (BFP) 3 days before end of 2ww.
So I recommend a blood test on about day 9 or 10 as the earliest chance of finding out (post FET)

I don't know if that's entirely correct, as many get a positive on a urine test (which is less sensitive than serum tests) before 9dp transfer, though it does matter the age of the embryos as well (5 vs 3 day).

I think many women have seen a positive at whatever combination adds up to 10 so 5 days past a 5 day transfer or 7 past a 3 day.  However, we're all individuals with a whole host of variables at play so some won't see a positive until the day of their beta and some will see them earlier.  It's the same with 2ww activity - whatever we did during our successful cycles gets stamped in our minds as what "works" when there's really no way to know that we wouldn't have been successful regardless of what we did.

Fingers crossed for all!

I took the two weeks off, and indulged in whatever (healthy foods & activities) helped me relax... ie lots of netflix in bed, going out with hubby, eating lots and lots ;)
It was a long two weeks and I had my moments of hope as well as total despair. I did not take the hpt, I just waited for my beta. I also cut caffeine out cold turkey on the day of my transfer.
Got my bfp 14dp5dt, currently 9 weeks pregnant. Every day is my tww was emotion filled and let me tell ya, the rollercoaster ride has not stopped. This is why it's important to find things/people/activities that center you, for the sake of your health during the entire process.

Why do people take time off after the transfer, no one has said I should do this? I plan on working a lot to make up for all the things I fell behind on during the IVF cycle. Is this bad? I've tried to find evidence relating stress to pregnancy and miscarriage and can't find anything other than stress makes you drink, smoke, and eat bad which in turn affects implantation and pregnancy rates. Seems that the evidence just isn't there yet to prove this is linked, which to me makes logical sense since millions of women live under terrible, stressful conditions and are able to carry a baby to term.

Thoughts or some good articles/research evidence to look at around this?

Survey is interesting. Would be good to have a bit more qualifiers though. I took a slow walk on the day after ET. And For example I answered 'I drank a little'. But it was a shot glass size of beer at Christmas and a sip of my husband's wine. But I really don't believe that would affect. What I am concerned about (am now 3 days post transfer, 24th December was et day), was that I actually was a bit too active on the day after the ET as we had a couple for lunch on xmas day and I was up a lot, getting ready.i vacuumed but thought that was considered light! Carrying a few things, although relatively light. Maybe 2-3kgs max, usually less. But would forget. Now we are in Morocco actually and I am walking around with my purse. Which is probably about 5 pounds. Nothing stressful. But don't feel anything :(. No cramping or anything. I still have a ways to go but am pretty convinced it didn't work.

But just to add: I have done two IVf's where I took off completely and sat on the couch for two days and took it easy generally and there was nothing. Our clinic never recommends it, although I have at least one day on the couch to ease my mind. This is my 6th, and I sort of feel if it is good and will implant it would do so whether I am walking around or lying in bed.

I thought that we could see what everyone did during 2WW and maybe find some correlation as to what seems to help BFP and cause BFN. Some questions may bother people, but I do believe every question is relevant. As well I am wondering how many HPT'd but I couldn't fit it in. I also couldn't fit in if you had a BFP or BFN so if you could put that in as a post I would appreciate it.

Please answer the questions as truthfully as possible (even if you don't want to) and we just might find something out!

With Love to All,
Alicia

IVF Angel--I really appreciate what you wrote, and i realize it was years ago, but for those of us without a partner, who are single moms by choice, the last question can leave one feeling a bit alienated... I don't know if you'll get this, but there might be others that feel the same? I love the concept though and thank you for putting it together! Very interesting...

The cycle we had success - we vacationed in Europe. I walked and ate and enjoyed life, ignoring my pupo state as much as possible!

My sister is visiting me and were watching an x-men marathon...

I'm 41 with endo

IVF #1: March 2016: Long protocol: Suprefact (200)/Menopur (225)

9 follicles => 4 eggs => 3 mature => 3 fertilized (ICSI) => 2 blasts (one transferred, one frozen)

BFN

IVF #2: June 2016: Microdose flare: Suprefact (40 BID)/Menopur (150)/ Gonal (300)

7-10 follicles (?) => 12 mature eggs => only 4 fertilized w/ICSI => transferred 2 @ 3days and 1 blast frozen

BFP: day 14 beta = 93, day 18 beta 557 (37h doubling time)

.... it stuck and we welcomed our boy March 2017!

back on this crazy journey again: June 6, 2018: FET #1...

I worked crazily on the first 7 days.. Started to feel abdominal cramps and a bit of dark coloured spotting on the 7th day. The 8th day onwards I took complete bed rest, off from work etc..spotting and cramps subsided..DH was not supportive at all..had to go through it all alone.. No sex though.. I await my results with fingers crossed although I don't feel pregnant☹️
