Was just curious if anyone cycling at Mt. Sinai was interested in having a topic started here?..nothing specific just more for questions or support...I see alot of other clinics doing it.
I guess ill start a mini topic: I'm curious in how successful your fresh or fet was? I have went through 2 retrievals - 1 ended with 0 fertilization (15 retrieved) and my 2nd had 8 fertilized (100% fertilization), only 3 made it to blast-others were very highly graded just didn't fit their freeze requirements. My first transfer ended with a bfn. & will be doing a fet starting my next cycle.

I'm cycling at Mt Sinai & had my ER on Wednesday. We had 14 eggs retrieved out of which 13 were mature. They executed ICSI on 13 eggs & 11 were fertilized which was reported to me on day 1 post-ER. I really hope this is a good stat & our embies will survive till day 5 as my doctor has planned to perform ET on day 5. My Dr is Rebecca Arthur & so far we had very good experience with her. Although I went through 3 unsuccessful IUI in past one & half years but this is probably due to low sperm count of my hubby. I would love to learn about your experiences ladies! Wish everyone all the best!

hey all!

I know this is an old post but I was wondering if you can share your experience with Mt. Sinai with me. I am hoping to start IVF this summer and I am with Dr. Jones (she is in the Vaughan location). Any insight will help! I am going there for male factor.

I had a wonderful experience at Mt.Sinai. I did my first IVF round in May'16. It ended up being a freeze all as i was at risk for OHSS. I had 3 embryos. We transfered one the following month....and now she is 13 months old :) will be doing another FET this Fall. My doctor is Dr.Chan.

So sorry you had to go through that but I wish you the best of luck with IVF! I called in my day one last week. My nursing appointment is on May 29, I'll be going with my husband so we can learn about the injections and get our calendar. I'm so anxious, nervous and excited. I'm praying for everyone going through this journey

How did the egg retrieval go? Is it painful? Do they put you to sleep?

I think the drug you get is supposed to make you pretty drowsy but I was very alert during the procedure and remembered it. Not any major pain but some pressure and cramping at moments. Im heavier so I think they needed to probe more in light of that. Recovery for me has been slow with crazy bloating!

Hi Elation!

My beta came back at 354 and beta #2 was 935 so its a positive! Although I'm so excited I am equally nervous. Its so early and I'm scared for anything to go wrong. I am enjoying the days but I am being cautiously optimistic.

How did your beta go?? hoping for good news!

OMG HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you and wishing a happy and healthy upcoming nine months!!! and a lifetime more!!  I know you must feel nervous and cautious, but getting the BFP is amazing already!!

My beta came back negative unfortunately, but it's okay.  I'm still relatively early in my journey and will look to try again soon.   I am so glad your beta is moving along well too!
