I am not due or cycling but wanted to extend my congratulations to you Lola. It is great to hear success from people who have been on here for a while, like me! I also admire those who take other people's feelings into consideration when posting their success, so thank you for being considered.

Last night I had a dream that I wanted another child... And I do irl, but I'm wavering back and forth. It's so hard to choose to get back into the roller coaster. And I'm just not quite ready yet. Not till our Lo is weaned at least till a year...

Estimated Retrieval day for donor is Feb 6. 5 days into the cycle, donor was found to have cocaine and marijuana in her bloodstream- cycle cancelled.. heartbroken and very disappointed

I am certainly wishing you the very best

Quandry: Yes, it's a tough decision. It's good to take your time to decide and to enjoy what you have with your LO:) I am leaning towards just one child for us. My husband is in his 50ies and getting where we are was already so tough... But I am not closing the door completely yet; I also think it's too early to make a final decision. One idea I've had is that we could consider adopting if we realized we really wanted another child...

Wishing you the very best!!! IF is such a looooong draining journey as we all know. Is this thread open to any type of donor or exclusively for DE? We were couldn't afford DE here in the states so I've gone thru 10 fresh cycles with PGS (for genetic reasons) and 2 FETs with DS since my husband has zero swimmers. We have a 21 month old daughter and I'm 17 weeks with a little boy (different donor).

Aww this thread makes me happy As a donor it warms my heart to see the community support for IPs using DE and see IPs succeed in their journey to grow their families

Ollie: Thank you. I am doing very well at this point: no bad symptom, having energy, enjoying quite a bit of prenatal exercise:)
Feisty: I think there are many similarities for couples using an ED or a SD so you are definitely welcome here! You are 17 weeks so just a bit behind me, how are you doing at this point? For myself, the second trimester has really been much better than the first one!
Nerd4Life: Thank you so much! For your message, but also for being a donor... Words can't express how happy I am finally going to be a mom and how much we already love our little one... We are so grateful for people like you to have given us this opportunity. I am sending you a big, big hug

Awww, you're both warming my heart Thank you for your kind words. I'm so looking forward to following this thread and am hoping to find out this year if my last donation led to a pregnancy for the IFs (they froze the embryos while they looked for a surro to help them complete their journey).
Sending everyone sticky baby dust!

The only issue I have had is a sub chorionic bleed which made me bleed at 7 weeks and gave me a couple more spotting episodes (at 8 and 18 weeks). Because my blood is RH negative, I had to get Rhogam injections, but at the last US, they told me the bleed was now quite small and nothing to worry about. So all in all, I have been lucky... I have my 20-week US next week. I am excited about it but also hoping it shows everything to be ok

Not sure if this thread is open to me, as I don't know many of you, but I'd be interested to join? I am currently 11 weeks 4 days pregnant for the first time EVER after using DE. We're due August 3rd 2016. I'm involved in a 'regular' due dates thread, but I feel like our situation is different in a lot of ways. We plan to be very open with our child, but I haven't been sharing our DE story with anyone other than immediate family, so that (combined with our nearly 6 year battle with infertility) really causes me to feel a bit like an outsider with other pregnant women. We are so over the moon ridiculously excited but I know I'll benefit from connecting with others who can maybe relate.
Me: 30 DH: 32 - TTC 5+ years
Two failed IUIs in 2012/13
- IVF#1 - 2013 super-O conversion from IUI because I over-responded. Retrieved 5 eggs, 5 fertilized, transferred 1 embryo - others deteriorated before freezing. BFN.
- IVF#2 - 2014 I over-responded again. Retrieved 27 eggs (absolutely excruciating retrieval), 21 fertilized. All looked amazing. But by day 5, they had started to deteriorate inexplicably. Transferred 1 beautiful blast... but everything else fell apart and we had nothing to freeze. BFN.
After extensive testing, specialists believe that my eggs have an unexplained genetic/cellular issue.
August 2015 - reserved an egg donor through LM and pursuing ED at VFC in Fall 2015!!!!
November 2015 - ED ER Nov 11 gave us 40 eggs! Nov 13 - 20 still look good graded 16-20. Nov 14 - 14 of freezable quality.
NOV 16 - Transfer Day! Transferred one gorgeous Grade 19 blast with six beauties in the freezer.
6dp5dt - Feeling like all hope is lost (even though it's early) and hesitant to even bother testing again.
9dp5dt - We're on top of the world!!!!!
16DPO - Beta # 1 Nov 27th: 377!!
19DPO Beta # 2 Nov 30th - 1639!!
December 17th 7wk U/S - Heartbeat 145, everything looks perfect!
January 21st - 12 wk U/S - Baby's a wiggler! <3
March 23rd - it's a BOY!!!!!
Due date August 3rd
(this is not my website, but I really love the video)

Yes, we would be more than happy if you joined us

Congrats on your pregnancy! I know what you mean by being "over the moon ridiculously excited" about it! I feel the same way

You are getting to the end of your first trimester, how have you been feeling?
I agree people who use donors have special considerations and it's nice to be able to discuss them with people in the same situation. We are also planning to be open with our child, but so far only 3 family members know we used a donor... I guess I was afraid of how the other family members would handle this info in front of our child... To me, she (we just had a confirmation our baby is a girl:) is priority number 1. I want her to learn about how she was conceived in the best possible context...
Welcome again Jzyla!

Hello!
I was happy to see this as I was wondering how you're doing Lola! I still come online every now and then and try to get updates. I still think about how others are doing with their journey. This forum has been such a great resource and support for me.
Congrats on team pink! That is exciting. I hope you're doing well and staying healthy.
Hello to everyone else as well!
Two back to back natural pregnancies with two miscarriages around week 8-9
Concluded poor quality eggs, nothing wrong with DH
Moved on to DE transfer
October, 2014: started protocol, thin lining therefore cancelled cycle in November
Have 5 mature frozen eggs.
Transferred 2 five day embryos on February 3.
Have one frozen embryo left.
March 10th: Saw one heartbeat measuring 7 weeks, 3 days
April 13th: 12 weeks, five days. Good results from initial NIPT.
October 7th: Arrival of Chloe via C-section at 37.5 weeks!
We are so fortunate!

Really nice to hear from you:) How are you and little Chloe doing?
In general, I am doing well at this end, but I have had a few hiccups along the way. The biggest one is that I have placenta previa (meaning my placenta completely covers my cervix, blocking the exit). This means I have to be very cautious as I am at risk for bleeding and premature birth. So no exercise, no travelling, no effort and no sex for me

So lots of reading, writing, cooking and baby prep for me right now!
I hope you, your partner and little girl are adjusting well to your new life:)

Hi,
We are slowly transitioning to this new lifestyle and new life at home! The biggest challenge for me has been functioning on little sleep. People talked about it during the pregnancy with the usual comments of "Get all your sleep now because you won't sleep for years,"
Now, I believe it! But it's totally worth it and chocolate certainly helps keep me going!
Chloe is a happy, relaxed baby for the most part I must say. She's just over 4 months, hard to believe. The first two months were a bit of a blur it feels now.
I'm sorry to hear that you have placenta previa...silver lining, at least you're not on complete bed rest, although maybe some days it might feel like that. Fingers crossed that as the weeks go on, it repositions itself to a better location.
Please take care.
