Hello Sarah,
Welcome to the community.
One of the biggest challenges in the process is not knowing and feeling as though your life is on hold while waiting for more definitive information.
At this point a number of things are possible, so your clinic will likely want to do another blood test ("beta"), or two just to see how things are progressing.
Maybe you have a slow implanter and the next few betas will help determine whether that is the case.
If things stay the same it could be a chemical, or possibly ectopic (slow, low-rising betas can be indicative of an ectopic pregnancy.)
There have been women here who have had a slow start and then went on to become mothers. That is my wish for you.
Hang in there. Keep breathing. Keep your mind occupied with things that you enjoy (as a distraction from the worrisome things that can come up while TTC.)
At this point anything can happen.
All the best to you.
Feel free to join a Cycle Buddies thread. There are different ones (depending on when they started) and everyone there is at a similar stage in the journey.
