Hi all,

As with probably everyone on this site I've been experiencing some ups and downs on this IVF journey. I've been really good for the last 6 months, but I've also been gently medicated... I've come off the medication and we're gearing up for round 3 and I've just had my first black weekend in a while.

I want to be proactive about this and not slide into a dark place so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a Psychologist who deals with infertility in Toronto. We visited one a while ago to discuss using Donor (a legal requirement) but it very much felt like we were just ticking off boxes.

Anyway, any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you asked your clinic? I am sure they could provide you with a list? :)

I used to see Dr. Lila Hakim at the Centre for Interpersonal Relations. Her office is at Yonge & Bloor, and she had lots of evening appointments which I appreciated. She gave me lots of pretty practical things to do (or ways that my partner could support me) which I appreciated, and no homework or role playing or any of the other stuff that has put me off of therapy in the past.

thanks everyone - We're now seeing Lila Hakim, she's great. I would definitely recommend her for anyone struggling with this process.
