Maggi - Sorry to hear about the bleeding!  I had some spotting with my last pregnancy and it was so unnerving.  I hope you can get some good rest this weekend and it will stop!

I am feeling super bloated this evening.  And so tired.  I think I will be heading to bed soon!

My DD took her first steps today!  So fun :)

The one I have is What to Expect. It doesn't do daily updates as far as baby progress but it has a week+day and time left til due date when you first open it. It also has tips and articles that pop up for each day and a baby progression video each week. I may get the ovia one as well, it sounds fun!

Insurance usually covers u/s but because there was a hiccup in mine I asked how much it would be for self pay so I could pay if it wasn't to much. Nope! Almost $2000 just for the hospital fee, not including the procedure so I will just wait, even though it's the hardest wait I've ever endured. I keep telling myself that over 10 years ago with my DD I didn't even know I was pregnant until 12 weeks so this wait should be doable.

Hi ladies my beta from last Friday (21DPO) was 3450 ! Yayy.. My clinic booked my ultrasound for Sept 29th. Still can't believe I might be having another child. I really wrote off #2 after we had such difficulties with #1 so this just seems surreal.

Hi All,

After 7 years, we got our first BFP with a donor embryo. 9dp5dt HCG 251, 12dp5dt HCG 1030, 14dp5dt HCG 3300. Now the long wait until October 9th for our first ultrasound. I really hope we see a heartbeat.

I have no symptoms yet other than some mostly mild cramping and a killer headache that comes and goes every few days. Of course after so many failed cycles, I may just consider the side effects of progesterone normal and not see them as symptoms.

Have you been using the due date calculator based on your last period or the ones that are based on the transfer date? They have me about a week different for my due date  - the former May 21, the later May 28.

Welcome abbygirl & dawntreader!!!! Congrats on your bfps😀😀😀

As for dating I would go by your transfer date as that is what u will measure when you get ur ultrasound. Although be prepared to always get asked what ur last day of menstrual cycle is and then explain why u are 'out of sync'

For my last pregnancy I was like 2weeks off due to very late ovulation and it was very annoying to always have to explain it😗

Hey Ladies!

Congrats on all of your recent BFP's :) I recognize a few of you from my September IVF FET group, so that is really great to see :D

You can see my history on my signature, but we started out with a couple lower betas, so we were a bit reluctant to get excited right away, but the nurse is saying things are looking good now that my previous two betas have more than doubled :D

Obviously we are not out of the woods yet, as I am still early on and we have to see how the first ultrasound goes, which is coming up next Thursday at 7 weeks :)

I am SO nervous about m/c, but I am trying to stay optimistic and enjoying being pregnant, as this is my first BFP EVER! preggo.gif yahoo.gif

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and I will catch up on previous posts shortly!!

I may have missed this, but are people feeling a lot of symptoms right now or no? If so, what symptoms are you experiencing??

Hope everyone is well :)

Dawntreader- I had those same questions! But I was told with IVF that it was 2 weeks prior to transfer. Which was for me was August 18.. So my EDD is May 18, even though my last period was August 11 and transfer sept 1. I know that's confusing! Haha I've been confused myself.

The most random symptom for me has been a hemorrhoid. Is that even a symptom?? Ive never had one in my life 😳and haven't been constipated. it's very painful. Also tender breast (possibly progesterone) and bleeding gums.

Abbeygirl- I've had a lot of sensations in my lower abdomen too....they come and go, but sometimes I notice them on one side and not the other, which always freaks me out because I start thinking "Oh my gosh! I hope it's not ectopic", meanwhile, my nurse already told me, symptoms of ectopic would be very painful cramping on one side, shoulder pain, dizziness, bleeding etc... They are not painful sensations by any means, just like twinges or a dull pressure feeling and then it goes away... so much going on down there lol...

I have noticed the increased thirst for a while now too....fuller breasts/darker looking areolas I think....some twinges in breasts off an on, but no real pain so far.

The fatigue has been out of control lol....like I could literally fall asleep anytime after 1pm lol...Not good for me since I teach grade 1 lol...:P

Paige- Our due dates are one day apart :)

Sorry to hear about the hemorrhoid, that's brutal!!! :/

paigemeredith - I had hemorrhoids with my last pregnancy, they weren't horrible, but more uncomfortable and itchy as my pregnancy progressed.  Since my daughter was born, they pretty much resolved themselves, or so I thought.....I feel like I can feel that pressure and itchiness back there...ugh.  Not a fun symptom.  However, I did find that Tucks pads were soothing after going #2, and closer to the end of my last pregnancy I used some Anusol cream on them which helped too.

Strange thing for me, with my last pregnancy, and again so far, I wouldn't say I have diarrhea, but I definitely have more frequent trips to the bathroom for #2.  I was not constipated at all last time.  I am finding myself getting out of breath when I come up a few stairs.  I feel really bloated by the end of the day (my pants are tight).  I still have intermittent queasiness.  Definitely the fatigue is the big one still.  I feel like I sleep pretty well at night, but always wake up tired.  Speaking of which.....is it bed time yet?

As for calculating your due date, as I understand it....Your LMP is considered to be 14 days prior to when you started progesterone (which simulates ovulation in a medicated cycle).  So my transfer was Sept 2nd, I started progesterone on Aug 28th....so when they ask what the first day of my last period was, I will say Aug 14th, for dating purposes....even though the actual LMP started on August 18th.  Your actual first day of your last period really doesn't mean anything a medicated cycle....it has more to do with when the transfer was done.

Paige, using your calculations, my due date is one day after yours, as well. Neat.

Ash- I also worry about an ectopic when those ovary twinges happen. There are so many things to worry about.

I'm glad to hear I am not crazy with the hemorrhoids. I've been using preparation H but it just really hasn't gone down. After a trip to the bathroom is when it really gets painful. PLUS the progesterone, my poor tush!

That's good to know about the ectopic. I've thought the same thing, and any time I have a slight cramp.. I am mindful of what side it is on. And it goes back and forth, so hopefully I'm in the clear for that.

It's so fun to have ladies due just days apart!

I am going to cautiously join this board against all my better instincts lol this can't jinx it right?!?
My due date according to the calculator is May 18. I had a beta of 173 14dp3dt which i thought was a little low compared to most ladies on here but my nurse said was a good number. They dont do repeat betas so i dont know if its doubling which is stressful. I did have a little spotting 9dp3dt but nothing since then. I had a CP in 2013 at 6 weeks so im gonna go crazy waiting for my ultrasound Oct. 5. So far I've had the typical symptoms I'm super tired, really sore boobs, sensitive to smells, nausea, food aversion and lots of cramping. I also get the pulling sensation or dull ache often to one side as many of you describe, im so happy im not the only one! :) I think that's it for now, sorry for the long post! Im also on a cell phone so i suck at personals but i will do my best to keep up.

Wow - look at our list!  It's getting big.  Congrats to everyone and welcome to the latest ladies - AshP, FlashDragon, Abbiegirl & Dawntreader!

If I got any dates incorrect, let me know and I'll edit the list!

My current symptoms are: mild nausea (prob a 4 or 5 out of 10), super tired all the time although I sleep well at night, panting/winded going up a few stairs or walking a few blocks, bloated, and yep hemorrhoid-ish which was worse pre-transfer.  I think all the meds do it to me.  So it's not bad currently, but I spose I'm a candidate for it throughout the pregnancy.  It's good to know others experience it too. Misery loves company! wink.png

Oh and regarding dating - how come the nurses aren't telling you your dates?  When I had my first positive blood test, the nurse told me to get a pen and paper for all my dates.  She gave me my Beta number, my estimated due date (EDD), my last menstrual period date (LMP), and my next ultrasound date.  Shouldn't you all be getting the same sort of information?  These dates are important, mostly LMP, for when we graduate to a baby doctor/midwife.
