Some things that has helped me:

Water intake: I am not a big water drinker! BUT I use a mug that holds 2 glasses, and I make myself tea 3 times a day. I use decaf greentea and a blueberry tea (Tazo Teas) I do sweeten it slightly with honey since it's low in calories, and a splash of milk for color

Meal Skipper: I am not a breakfast girl. I just don't wake up hungry, so instead of skipping it and then over eating later, I do a meal replacement drink. I use the Costco brand, it's only 230 calories per can, and full of vitamins.

Cardio: I use my wiifit and I use the Free step 30 mins, which I just step and watch tv. I actually turn off the noise, and set the pace fast, and I go to town. I step up and down so fast that it says in 30 minutes you will step 2500 times, I step 4300 (it counts). I do this usually 2-3 times a day, BUT on Tuesdays, I step 2 hours straight. I step to Biggest Loser lol! **I haven't missed a day in 7 weeks

Planning: I have to plan my entire day of food in advance! I usually know what I will be eating the next day, or I know at breakfast time everything I'll be eating the entire day, even snacks, since little snacks do add up

Food: until I fully have control over my eating, and emotional eating, I make 2 seperate meals for myself and family. I don't work, and I don't have any young ones, so I am taking advantage of the time I have to get myself on track. I also DON'T deprive myself of stuff I crave, it's just about portion control. I find if I say I cant eat something, and I give in and eat it, I feel guilty, and say F this, eat more of it, and claim Ill restart the diet tomorrow, and well, you know, tomorrow never comes. So, I treat myself.

I haven't been doing this long, but the benefits so far have been amazing! After my failed FET in Dec I got af, like I usually do after a failed cycle..but in Jan af arrived,...on her own, then Feb's Af arrived exactly 28 days later.. I never get af without meds!

Con: My poor breast! Now don't get me wrong..they weren't perky and cute like when I was a teenager and breastfeeding,,But they were larger and higher up, I don't know if I lost a good chunk of the weight in my boobs, OR if I just lost some tummy that was holding them up! haha

Hey Ladies! You are all doing fantastic!
I had a post all done, and lost it, so this is a condensed version :)

My weight keeps on fluctuating a few lbs, AF just finished so I hope I can get a few more off now.
But,.... I am sooooo excited! I went shopping for jeans the other day & I am happy, ok, more like freakin' excited, that I fit into a 6! Never ever ever have I ever bought a 6 before. I felt silly doing a happy dance in the dressing room, but I couldn't help it!
i just hope I can keep those jeans fitting.. I found chocolate @ Purdys that I can eat & it is SO yummy! It's hard not to sit down & eat the whole bar.
I also find myself horribly hungry all the time. I can eat a full dinner & an hour later I feel as if I hadn't eaten at all. Not sure if it because of BF, but I can't seem to get enough!

I have been slacking in the challenges. Sorry! So, here's the next one:

Drink all your water + increase your fruit & veggies by 2 servings a day

WTG Kacik!

Up until now, I have NEVER fit into a 6. Before & after i had DD, I was always in the 150's no matter what I did. Not sure what is different now, but I am not going to complain ;) I just hope it stays off. At my highest weight, I was in a 12/14 (I'm only 5'3")

Way to go ladies.

I am not happy with my weight, but I am happy that I am at my lowest weight in 2 years. I only lost 0.7 this week, but it was something! I am working on the challenges. Drinking water is easy at work, but I have a harder time with it at home!

Hey Ladies!

Amanda- Hey! I see you're gearing up for IVF#2 aswell =] Maybe we will be cycling together again. yay for the .7 loss. I am so use to obsessing over the IVF cycles, that this is a nice break while I gear up for my next cycle.

Tigerlady- I hope you have fun on your trip! I find sticking to my meal plan hard when I have to eat outside of my home. I try to make the right decisions, but I sometimes I just live life and try not to worry to much about it, plus, 1 week of just enjoying yourself without having to think/plan what you can/can't eat is better for you sometimes.

Flutter- Grats on the size 6! I think the last time I was a size 6, was when I was a 6 year old wearing childrens size 6! When I was breastfeeding my daughter I was STARVING. It was like I could eat 2 meals. Starving and thirsty lol

Rosa- How often are you working out? What sort of workouts are working for you?

Kacik- woot for 2 lbs! I love it when I see the results on the scale of my hardwork! It sure keeps me pushing so I can see what I can do next week

Tina- I think 150 on 5'7 is great! I am only 5'1 (on a good day) and I know that on paper my Ideal weight should be between 100-110 lbs. BUT I would look healthy and feel healthy at 125lbs.

AFM- I found myself getting tired of the same food this weekend, so I took an entire day to go food hunting. I came up with some great ideas, even some foods that I found myself thinking about during an entire 1 hr cardio! UGH! and that's when it happened. . . . I found myself with a spoon in 1 hand, and a jar of marshmellow fluff in the other! I quickly put it down, and ran away, far away...only after I took 3 heaping spoonfuls and swallowed it super fast before I could even think SPIT IT OUT SPIT IT OUT! ok, maybe I didn't do it that fast, MAYBE, just maybe, I then dipped the fluff into walnuts. On the positive side, I could have ate the entire jar and "restarted" my diet tomorrow!

So frustrated is my middle name today!

I have been religiously going to the gym twice per week and working my butt off for 5 weeks now not to mention watching what I eat etc and I have only lost 5 freaking pounds!!!!!!!

My trainer says that bodies work in mysterious ways and I may gain muscle before loosing fat .... I think that she is lying to me.
She says that its clear that I have lost "inches" but she wants to wait till our 3 month mark before remeasuring but I dont see how its possible to loose inches without pounds .... where does it go?
I swore... SWORE to myself that if I was every lucky enough to get pregnant I would not bash myself during or after about my weight but I dont seem to be able to keep that promise.

One would think that after 10 years of IF treatments I would have lost the need for immediate gratification but nope, it still pops up to say hello from time to time.

Supermom- Muscle does weigh more than fat. So, if your trainer is working you to build muscle and work on your body as a whole, I can see where she thinks the slow steady pace is best. I am very overweight, so I know that my best bet is to concentrate on losing some of the body fat 1st with cardio, then go back and tone. I have the mind set that I have to be able to see results, via clothes, mirror or scale for me to keep motivated right now. If I wasnt inpatient, I would probably work my full body out with cardio, strength and endurance. I make sure that I work off as many calories I have consumed everyday, or as close as I can.

A great site: calorieking.com You can search for foods you have ate and see how much walking/running/swimming/cycling it would require to work off what you ate. It has EVERY food you could eat on there, from fastfood, store namebrands...everything

Supermom - Muscle is heavier than fat so if you lost 1lb of fat and gained 1 lb of muscle the scale is the same but your measurements (and appearance) are smaller. And it's healthier - your body is fitter. More muscle also speeds up your metabolism, but only slightly.

Supermom - It is true! I am (was lol) an avid workout freak, personal trainer and I taught self defence classes :-( My weight always go up when KI escercise, even though your weight may stayt he same you will find your pants fit! Scales are nasty, measurements are more accurate! Thats so great that your working out! You must feel great!! I have always loved the gym, now I have lost the motivation!!

I am lucky about one thing, I am almost 5'11, I dont look as overweight as I feel. I am comfy around 160, I would be happy to get there.

A better measure is definitely inches lost.

My exercise has been doing exercise videos at home. I find it extremely difficult to get to the gym with a baby. It's just not easy anymore. This way I can exercise when she naps.

Supermom, I was working out like crazy and was still gaining weight. Yes muscle does weigh more than fat! But for me I HAD to start writing down what I was eating (WW). Even though I thought I was eating well, I was just eating too many carbs, not enough veggies and not enough filling foods.

Finished week three and......Down 7 pounds!!!!! Woo-hoo

As for healthy recipes, I made home made won ton soup with chicken in the won tons and added lots of veggies to the broth. So yummy!

Still at 153lbs. Diet is 75% of it. If you are eating to much of the wrong things,it doesn't matter how much you workout... the weight won't come off.

Ok ladies, I have got to get my fat a$$ in gear. 6 months ago I swore I would be fit or pregnant by 40. My birthday is in 5 weeks and I am neither! Yesterday I had a pity party for myself. I am at my highest lifetime weight of 214.6 today.
My goal is to be under 200lbs by my birthday. There I said it now I have to do it!
My ultimate goal is 160.

Kellyanne you are an inspiration! Wow! The amount of work you do daily kinda freaks me out honestly.
Ladies, can you post ideas of what you eat in a day?
