Please rate TCART in the following categories on a scale of 1-5.

Also, please feel free to leave your comments to help others in their choice of clinics. Be mindful that comments should not contain inflammatory statements or potentially harmful allegations against the clinic or a particular medical professional. Thank you!

I noticed that there are hundreds of viewers on this thread but only 6 people who have voted....
I'm hoping that this is a good sign that not as many people who went to TCART are still TTC. I am planning on going to TCART in Jan for my first ivf and would love to hear any success stories as well as your answers to the poll.

If you were successful, was in your first ivf?
First FET?
or which cycle?

Did you do ICSI?
Day 3 or 5 trasnfer?
Do you have a singleton, twins, triplets or more!?
Who was your doctor?

and any other info you would like to share. Thank you.

Hi Not Giving Up,
Pretty sure i have talked about TCART before to you (and that fact you go to Toronto West with Dr. Ryan). Here are my answers to your questions:

DS born after first try with ICSI - i was 32 at the time of treatment
all my FET (2 of them) have been negative
did ICSI with a 3 day transfer
singleton born at 38 weeks due to my health problems
i had Dr. Claessens - really liked her

was not very keen on Dr. Casper - but that is just a personal preference - he is very good.
my nurse was Joan (can't remember last name) and i loved her - very supportive and understanding and just all around great - but then again, i know most of the nurses there and they are all the wonderful.

still have 2 frosties there and may try them in the new year - otherwise we are now thinking of a medicated iui with donor sperm (cheaper then ICSI and less invasive) but may change clinics since the drive into the city pretty much kills me. we are looking at some guys here in the west end instead.

good luck in the new year,
Karen :flowers:

thanks very much for all the answers Karen! You give me much hope! I see dr K now at Dr Ryan's and she is very nice and answers all my questions. i hope that I don't have to go to TCART in Jan but if I do, its very hopeful to hear success stories as yours!

Have you figured out what you are going to do now?

I had 5 iui's with TCART before moving on to another clinic for ivf. I loved the nurses, Joan in particular, and was often able to talk to a doctor on the phone almost immediately (I'm from out of town) when an issue arose. That being said, the receptionists were often cold and sometimes outright rude, and it was ultimately a booking error that led us to change clinics. I am happy we did as we received a far more detailed diagnosis from the new clinic.

Hi I think from what I see at TCART that there are a lot of established and older people at this clinic. This is a very high class area and I think the reason people do not post is simply time and privacy. It is the atmosphere here. People are paying a lot of money for results. They do not seem like they want to talk about there problems online. I on the other hand do not mind talking about myself. I have been to three clinics and I like the anonymity. I also like their honesty and not wanting to waste anymore of my time. I have concluded after a long journey. I am ready for a donor egg. My sister has decided to assist my husband and I and are very grateful. Good luck to us all.
