Hey all,

Although I ready this boards CONSTANTLY, I never actually post on them.  Just a little background.  I have done 4 unsuccessful IUI's, and this is my first IVF cycle.

7/28:

-Morning Blood work: Estrogen level: 9519, Progesterone: 8.4, & HCG 115

-10 pm:  Trigger Shot

7/30: Retrieval.  Retrieved 28 eggs, 18 mature, 10 fertilized normally with ICSI

8/4:  2-Day 5 Blastocysts were transferred, both graded 4AA.  Froze 5 additional.

8/8:  I gave in and took a HPT--MISTAKE! I took a digital test that I had lying around, and I assumed it would say "Not pregnant" because it was so soon. I wanted to make sure the trigger shot was out of my system.  However, it showed up Pregnant.  Of course I freaked out and went to Walgreens and bought a million more tests.

8/8 Afternoon:  I took another HPT with lines, and there was a faint second line.

8/9:  Took another pregnancy test, and the line was darker.

8/11:  Took another HPT this morning, and the line again was darker.  This afternoon I took a Clear Blue test that had shown not pregnant on the few days before, and there is a clear positive.

Is there any chance that this could be the trigger, or is this the real deal?  I started cramping some this afternoon after I took a nap, so now I am paranoid.   My breasts are not tender, and the only real symptom that I have is feeling exhausted. :/  Should I be feeling other symptoms?

My beta is scheduled for this Wednesday, 8/13 at 9 am.

Any help is greatly appreciated!  I started cramping and now I am worried! :((

Hi. At this point I would be surprised if it was the trigger. Most women will clear a trigger in less than a week. I think congratulations are in order.

Some cramping is normal in pregnancy, even when it is very early. As for other symptoms some women don't have any for many months. After dealing with vomiting and boobs so sore I could barely wear a bra, and bumps during a car ride were torture, I envy those women :)

Thank you so much for your reply!  I didn't think that there was any way that the trigger would still be in my sister, but you know I am just paranoid.  This whole process just makes you super paranoid!  Glad to know that cramping is normal, and it honestly might just be gas paints or something. It's not bad, and I know if I wasn't going through this I wouldn't think anything of it at all! :)

Thank you again so much for your response!  You eased my mind!  Now just to wait for my beta test- 36 hours and counting! haha!

I wish I could tell you it gets easier. When you have dealt with infertility you stress about everything related to the pregnancy and it seems like you are always waiting for some test to tell you everything is okay and reading into every symptom you may or may not have.
Once you get your beta result I highly recommend joining a due date thread. It is nice to have other pregnant women to talk to. Even if it is just so they can tell you to stop googling things :)
Congratulations again.

Congratulations!!!!

Try not to worry about a lack of symptoms - I never had any nausea, vomiting or heartburn throughout my whole pregnancy.  My breasts never really got tender either, just started getting bigger, but not till much later.  I do remember getting quite a bit of cramping - my RE and the nurses said that it was just the uterus remodeling - so much starts changing so quickly in there!!!!

I hope to hear some great news about your beta!!!!

Ola1981--Thank you so much! :)  However, I woke up this morning, and when I wiped it was just very slightly dark dark red/brown... very little... I am guessing that means it's over :(

Spotting in early pregnancy is very common. I had two episodes prior to my first ultrasound and my girls are 16 weeks old now.
Your beta numbers and doubling time will give you much more accurate info than any symptoms, including spotting
Please keep us updated.

Thank you all.  I went in for another beta today, and it was 805, so they are happy with that.  I have an ultrasound on August 29, and I will be 6w2d.  Hopefully we will see a heartbeat then!

6w2d is a bit early. Most people will see a heartbeat by then, but not all. If you don't see a heartbeat don't panic (easier to say than do). You would have to go back in a week or so to check again.

Hello! I got a BFP 4dp4dt, the 3 embryo FET was Aug 8th, so super early. Do you think this might indicate that they all implanted?..

It is impossible to tell. Some women are very efficient at producing and excreting HCG and will get a strong positive very early. At 6dp5dt my BFP looked like your fainter tests and I was pregnant with twins.
It is however a strong BFP. Congratulations!

I agree that it's impossible to tell based on the early hpt. However, a line that dark on that test usually indicates you are giving really good hcg to it. My long time hpt experience would say I've only seen those dark lines 1-2 days after a missed period and it usually correlates with 50-100 beta level when it is first this dark. That is an incredible thing for how few days past you are from transfer. I think you definitely have a good pregnancy here!! Congrats!

My journey to parenthood started in 2005.

Thank you, ladies! :) I couldn't believe it either. It was on FRER though. However, last transfer at 8dp4dt my BFP was as faint as my test this time at 4dp4dt. So it varies even for the same person. There are a few things we did differently with this transfer. Now let's hope it stays!!
