Good luck with your beta on the 28th. I will say a little prayer for you.
I am wondering tho, with the FSH levels of most of us. I had my FSH before the Clomid challenge and were great---15 and after the clomid it was 10, so at the end of AF it did drop down, and my doctor was a little concerned and just stated that my eggs were "getting old" and that I need to take this opportunity now if I want to have a baby--and not wait too long. Ok, fine, we did just that but still ended with a m/c. Which I am thinking it must have alot to do with FSH and getting a BFP. Will see what my labs show next month. I do hope for nothing too drastic. I want it to be the same as before!! I know it won't be better!! LOL
AGain, I will say a little prayer for you and sending you LOTS and LOTS of Baby Dust your way!!

This is a great question of FSH levels and getting a postive or negative result for pregancy. I am on my first IVF now and I am totally postive and believe that it will work but I know that the last few months my FSH has been high normal at 11. It sort of freaks me out because I do not need two things working against me that is for sure. I guess we will see how this IVF #1 goes and take it from there. I have asked at the clinic and they do not seem to be worried about the number. I have even had a 16 on my FSH level a couple of months ago and when I repeated it was 11. I have asked many questions becuse it was only the last time that I was at the clinic that it was even told to me that my FSH level was high. I was not happy since we have been going to the clinic for over a year now. anyways just alittle venting and it made me feel better so that is good thing. I just wish that this was a little easier and not so many unknowns it is killing me. Is it that much for all of us to ask to just have a healthy baby!!!!!! Sorry for the venting!!!
Hope 111

I don't know about anyone else but my current clinic doesn't use BCP for suppression (the head RE thinks it too often leads to over suppression) so the numbers I gave way back are without any suppression of any kind. After my failed IVF (in July) my FSH jumped to 15.5, too high to cycle that AF but they prescribed a Cetrotide shot for, I think Day 10, which was then followed 2-3 days later by AF and when I had my FSH read again it was 8.4.
These numbers are just indicators though and not truly predictive; particularly since there are so many other factors at play.
Fingers crossed for you and everyone else!

Both my FSH results were without any form of stimulation. My first was 10.9 and the second time round, it was 11.5 so not so far off. I have no idea what it was during BCP and stimming as it was not tested. My clinic's cutoff level for using your own eggs was 12 so I felt stressed when d'regging.
However, I did get pg on my first IVF so, hope111, don't despair!
Hi Irishrose....
may I ask how many eggs did you retrieve when you got your BFP and how many fertised?

1st FSH was 10, 2nd FSH about half a year later was 15. The dr told me when it increases that fast, it's not just age related infertility. There was a lot of testing after that, and they determined (as far as I can tell) that it was due to endo cysts on my ovary (esp the left ovary, that one is pretty big). No more FSH testing after that (unless it was during suppression/stimming b/w and they only told me it was ok).
1st IVF and now 5 wks pg - and totally feeling it!! I hope it sticks.
2006 - kidney transplant recipient, thanks to DH
2009 - DD conceived naturally, born in Feb

May 8, 2012 - 2nd U/S - 4 follies on right ovary. Dr said "It's not ideal for a 40 yr old woman." Continue with same.
May 9, 2012 - 3rd U/S - 4 follies on right ovary, 1 on left ovary (with huge endo cyst). Dr said ER on Sat, working with 4 follies.

May 26, 2012 - used Clearblue digital - "pregnant 1-2 wks" yay!
