pcanoe - That's excellent news!  I agree with smurfette, I think you have been doing all the right things up to now, and you should probably continue doing them. What I know about aspirin is that it is not for diabetes, but a clotting disorder that can interfere with blood flow to the placenta.  I know of a couple of friends who experienced repeated miscarriages until they tried a baby aspirin a day (as recommended by their doctor) and successfully carried to term.  You should get tested for blood clotting disorders if you haven't already.  However, taking a baby aspirin every day has been commonly prescribed to patients of recurrent miscarriages.  I would definitely mention it to your RE.  And finally, sometimes some women just cannot carry a pregnancy, for whatever unexplained reason.  I truly hope this is not the case for you, and I'm sure your RE will tell you that science can do a lot nowadays, but he/she may also mention surrogacy at some point if they feel it is more worthwhile for you.  It would not hurt to get a second opinion before you move forward.  The good thing is you have 7 amazingly perfect embryos remaining.

Thank you smurfette & brokenhearted for the information and support. I am going to email my RE now to ask if I can be tested for the clotting disorder.

pcanoe - I was one who was diagnosed with APA - antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. I was put on aspirin leading up to pregnancy and once I had a confirmed pregnancy I was put on heparin injections for the remainder of my pregnancy. While my blood tests only showed marginal elevations in the tests the hematologist that olive referred me to suggested the aspirin/heparin protocol. They can't definitively say that the APA was causing my implantation failures and miscarriages but they also couldn't say that it wasn't. I would definitely push for the protocol if your levels come back positive. Its a super fast blood test. I think same day results typically.

Thank you tjluvbug for the official name of the disorder and the helpful information.

You know what I have realized by reading other people's posts who aren't Olive patients is that some of them have their progesterone levels measured with every beta? Have any of you asked Olive why we don't have ours tested? I'm thinking of requesting this for the next round to make sure my progesterone is high enough but I just want to make sure that it's not something already included in the HCG test and just not mentioned to us? What do you guys think?

I did have a progesterone level drawn with at least one of my tests, but can't recall if that was standard or if I requested it because I was spotting..

Me -29 31- unexplained poor egg quality. I was told I had endometriomas.....but repeat ultrasounds at other clinics have said no sign of endometriomas. Maybe PCOS-like ovaries, but no PCOS - AMH, AFC are great. No one can explain why my eggs are so poor sad.png

DH 30 - severe teratospermia, count and motility are excellent.

May 2014 - 2.5mg femara - BFN (ovulated night before)

June 2014 - IUI with 5mg femara - BFN (ovulated night before)

- 19 follicles (all 15-22mm at trigger), 12 eggs retrieved, 7 mature,, 5 fertilized with ICSIsad.png

- only 7 mature eggs with an estrogen of 20000?! wtf?! Sigh...Freeze All

-only one BB Blast made it. Freeze "all" became "freeze one". All others arrested between day 3 and 4 sad.png

pcanoe - i think you should ask for the progesterone levels to be checked.  I think they didn't check it because we are already on progesterone, so it should be way more than enough, but if you've had several miscarriages, I would definitely ask to check it with the beta.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a long time since I was on this forum….

We had a successful IVF cycle in 2012 (at Genesis) and our daughter was born in April 2013. We have 3 frozen embryos.

DH and I were really hoping to not need help with number 2, but here we are preparing for our first FET this month. We moved our embryos to Olive (just felt more comfortable staying with the same team). Going to have an ultrasound next week to check the thickness of the uterine lining and then hopefully our little frosty will survive the thaw & snuggle in.

Good luck to everyone else cycling this month!

Good luck Mikka!

You should join the "June fet" group. I'm in there and also going to Olive for a fet cycle this month. Currently on day 7 of estrace.

Curious if anyone has ever pushed Olive to transfer 3 embryos? I just found out at last transfer I had an inconclusive embryos from our CCS testing....we knew about the 2 normal embryos. We did one CCS tested embryo last cycle (negative hpt) and was planning on using our last 2 this cycle and calling it quits. Now we have this 'extra' embryo I am not sure what I am going to do with.....very confused. Any advice appreciated.

I would definitely push for it but I would think they would be hesitant, just knowing they are very much for eset. (Single embryo transfer). It took alot of persistance on my part to transfer two on my last cycle.

If they are adamant that they will not transfer three and heaven forbid your next transfer doesn't result in one or two babies you could always then transfer your extra embie...

After going through failed treatment cycles, I am thinking of seeing different doctor for other opinions. is it possible to see different doctor in Olive for a follow up appointment? anyone has experience with requesting to see different doctors for follow up appointment within Olive? there is nothing wrong with my doctor, I just want to see if other doctor would have other suggestions.

Hi Tapioca - sorry this response is so delayed, but I don't frequent these boards as often as I used to.  To answer your question, all the doctors at Olive meet throughout the week and discuss all cases.  From what I understand, all the doctors have an opportunity to give their input for what to try next, so I'm not sure you will get a different answer from a doctor within the clinic.   However, there is no harm in trying or you could look for a second opinion elsewhere.  Good luck.
