Hi,
I don't know if I am posting this in the right place. I have been scanning these forums for years, and thought it was finally time to actually participate.

This is my second FET, I am 8dp5dt, and as per my signature, it hasn't been going exactly as planned. I used Crinone this time, because I am going away in a week and wanted to make sure my meds wouldn't melt. I had a rusty coloured spotting start on 5dp5dt and I was a little excited because I had similar spotting around the same time for my last FET. It resulted in a BFP that last 9 wks at least. Well the spotting continued through the day and turned to a dark red. I had similar uterine cramps to my period, so I panicked. I left work, lay on the couch and called my clinic. They had no advice except "wait it out". I switch progesterone to the other suppositories. Thursday, was very similar to Wednesday, and by Friday, the bleeding was only brown, very light and only when I wiped. I had some lower abdominal cramping yesterday and today. This morning I POAS (first response) and it was negative.

I guess I am just wondering if there is still a chance for us, or if that early bleeding and BFN were a clear sign. I have very regular periods, so the early bleeding on day 22-23 was shocking. Has anyone had similar symptoms? Did it result in a BFP or stay a BFN?

Hello Sk8me,

Welcome to the community. Regardless of where you are in this journey, you are welcome here and will find the wisdom, support and information that you are looking for.

The process has so many highs and lows. Hang in there.

As to your question? Well, there is ni definitive answer, BUT at 8dp5dt it could still be a little early for an HPT. Some women have a better idea after day 10/11.

What you may have confirmed at this point is that the trigger has left your system.

The brown/light spotting could be implantation bleeding (I hope so).

Hang in there. Remember, we are here for you.

All the best.

Thanks gibasgirl, that's awesome! I have never seen that before. I don't think I had a trigger shot, this was a medicated cycle. I had a shot of Lupron day 21 the cycle before, is that considered a trigger shot? My clinic is pretty open and said I could come in for a beta test whenever. I don't know if its worth it to go in tomorrow (9dp5dt, cycle day 26) or if I should wait until Tuesday, (12dp, cycle day 28). My original test day was march 8, but since I had some early bleeding they said come in whenever.

Oops, my mistake. I made the assumption that you had a fresh cycle, but it was a frozen transfer, so the process is different. My mistake for making the trigger comment because that only applies with a fresh cycle.

Well, if you can hang on until Monday or Tuesday that may better to wait a bit, but if your heart needs the peace of mind that may come from testing earlier then do that. There are no wrong answers at this point.

You are welcome to start a thread with that information. I would do it, but I am using my phone and do not have the ability to do anything too intricate. :) I found that page to be informative and reassuring too.

Will you be testing this weekend? FX for you.

Do you have any update sk8me? I'm on my 8dp5dt and started spotting or I would like it to be spotting rather than the start of my AF

Hey Jennymac, unfortunately my news didn't end well. The first time I POAS it was an obvious negative, but the second time I swore I could see a line. I went for an early Beta that day, and it was 8. Some clinics don't count under 10 as being a positive pregnancy, so I don't even know if that would be considered a positive? Anyhow, two days later the Beta went down to 3. My period came a few days later, but it wasn't normal. It was slow to get heavy. (But that could have been because of the two days of heavy spotting earlier in the cycle).

I spotted my previous pregnancy too around the same time, but it was one gush, one day, and I made it to 9 weeks (only a 6 week fetus). Who knows?

I hope in your case, it's good spotting! When is your Beta?
