Dear all,

Lots of us going through the infertitly experience, and jumping from cycle to cycle, we raise many questions about the symptoms that we encounter during the 2WW.

That's why I thought of creating this poll, possibly we can get answers that we can correlate or associate with our experiences.

Thanks in advance for every response

Hi Sasabee!

Thanks for the interest and for voting.

It look slike when I prepared the poll questions, I got confused about one of the options, and thus didn't click it to show the results to everyone :S

I tried to go back now and to click ti again, but I guess it can not be changed (that's really odd)!!

What I will do, is that every couple of days I will post a snapshot picture of the results.

Thanks to every lady sharing her vote :)

It's really hard not to analyze every twitch and twinge and totally natural to read meaning into these things, but something to keep in mind, and I know most do, is that the meds like progesterone that many are on may have side effects that mimic both pregnancy and AF symptoms so whether you have symptoms may not really be related to the result of your ART but come, in part or in full, from the meds. Your treatment can also impact the symptoms you have suring the 2ww - I know for both my cycles, I was terribly bloated and tender - it was unrelated to the success or failure (there was no difference in how it felt between the failure and the success) of the cycle but due to the stimulation my ovaries had gone through.

I barely had symtoms during the TWW.  I did have my OHSS come back though - which I knew meant BFP!  I also had a cold sore (not so much fun - but again I knew instantly that it meant I was pregnant).  I also had 2-3 days where I actually had a nap in the middle of the afternoon.  And I remember telling DH it wasn't like a regular nap where I was somewhat asleep... It was a deep sleep nap in the middle of the day (which I don't think I've ever done).  When I'd wake up, I felt like I could just go right back to sleep.  My eyes were so heavy!

And unfortunately, that's it!  haha!  Mind you, I barely had symptoms during the trimester 1, so that might be why I had little symptoms during the TWW as well.

For my BFN - I don't recall much...  I do remember having a few sharp pains one day that freaked me out.  I thought to myself, "oh, it didn't work".  Not sure if was just a coincidence or what.

Hope this helps!

One major difference between my BFN and BFP positive cycles was the need to urinate all the time.  Mild cramps, tender breasts, sleepiness was all the same no matter the outcome.

Me: 33; low AMH, normal FSH
DH: 34, male factor

Trying for 4 years
Started testing after 1 year. Dr. tested my progesterone levels for 3 months...all normal
Sent to OBGYN, did the same testing, came back normal, wait 3 months for hysteogram, normal, finally does test on hubby, 14 million, not terrible. Wait three months... 2.5 years later....
Got fed up and asked to be given referal for fertility clinic.

Oct 2011 - first appointment, all well. Dr. feels like we will get pregnant in no time given details from my OBGYN
Nov 2011 - get results from hubbies test...less then 1 million, told to go back to re-test
Dec 2011 - find out I have extremely low egg reserve and only IVF will work sad.png - WHY IS THIS THE FIRST TIME I AM TESTED??????????????
Dec 2011 - second test for hubby...over 20million!!!!!!!!!!! Get in asap for first IUI w/ clomid
Jan 2012 - PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feb 2012 - Ectopic sad.png
April 2012 - failed IUI #2 w/clomid
June 2012 - failed IUI #3 w/clomid
Sept 2012 - failed IUI#4 w/ puregon injections and progesterone suppositories
Oct 2012 - IVF#1 w/ puregon, Estrace and Progesterone; Chemical pregnancy; 9 eggs retrieved, 7 fertilized w/ ICSI; 6 mature to 5day blasts, 2 transfered and 4 frozen

Jan 2013 - FET#1 - transfered 1 6 day hatching blast.
 BFP!!!!!!!  BETA #1 - 860  banana.gif

Hi ladies,

As promised I'm posting the results of the voting so far.

It looks like the differences between BFN and BFP symptoms are very limited. The only difference seen is in sleepiness which seems to be more reported in BFP than BFNs.
