Hello,

I was wondering about some of your favourite quotes. It can be anything, or even any number of quotes.

They, or it, can be anything: something "deep", humourous, famous, not so famous, religious, something that inspires you, gives you hope, makes you laugh, makes you thankful, something you say all the time, or something you never quite understood but it stuck around.

What makes them stand out for you, too?

I'll start with a few:

In the hour of adversity be not without hope, for crystal rain falls from black clouds. - Nizami (a Persian poet)
This gives me hope on days when things just seem hopeless. I came across it one day and it just clicked and gave me the hope that eventually I could find some good.

Deep within, beneath all the egoic noise…. there is a place of great peace…I’ll meet you there. -- Eckhart Tolle I love quotes like this one that essentially remind us that we are all connected. There's a space deep inside that unites us alland essentially makes us the same the same when all is said and done. The rest is a distraction.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, -- The Golden Rule Learned this at an early age. Good words to live by regardless of one's faith. Also, it can be easily forgotten when we get caught up in our own headspace.

Pull my finger -- My friend Charles. C'mon, this made you smile. It's ok.

There are more I need to think of.

Ok, what are some of yours.

I love no. 2 GG. A while back when I was feeling desperate over something, probably IF, my friend said, "You always have yourself." It made me really so much better. Strong inside.

Now who was it said, "When you're walking through hell, keep going"? I like this. It might have been Churchill.

However I don't like those Keep Calm and Carry On mantras you see everywhere, even if it does mean the same thing.

Great thread!

PEACE it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work, it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
I have this quote haning in my bathroom along with this next quote. IT just helps to read this every morning and every night

May every sunrise hold more promise, and every sunset hold more peace

Dear God, I have tried my best but if today I loose my hope please tell me that your plans are better than my dreams.
I found this one on pinterest just recently and I find it extremely fitting for where I am at in this journey. I am not overly religious but do believe in some form of higher power whatever each individual may call that.

An Arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward, so when life is dragging you back with difficulties it means that it is going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.

Courage does not always roar, sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow

Great thread to start!!
