Hi all,

Just posted this in Blue Moon Girls (all four of us are on Day 9, 6dp3dt). Would love to open it up and get some opinions to help us get through the 2ww. Especially dumb me.

Best to all. Wishing you positive vibes, sticky dust, BFPs and hugs.

K.

Day 9:

Oh girls. OK, I tested today. Neg. I am an idiot, right? I used FRER and I have seen totally conflicting reports about what level of HCG it detects from "6.5" which seems like a load of crap to 25. When it says "5 days earlier" - does that mean day 9 or day 10? Does it matter?

Just waiting and starting to go a little crazy. Dh begged me not to test. I won't tell him I did - he is extremely pragmatic and will shake his head.

Finally, another crazy question. If you are having multiples, do you show up earlier or just more? I can see it just being more, or being more and a day earlier. But the body can only make HCG so early, right? (I don't want multiples - don't get me wrong).
Me - 44, DH - 45

Try this site! It's great and was my reference point. Day '0' is your transfer day. Day 1 is the day after. You've definitely tested too soon! You have to wait until atleast day 8! And even that could be risky.

As for as the line colour, my FR line was darker than the tester line and I also wondered if it meant I had 'more' HCG in my body hence multiples. I'm curious to see what the other wonderful ladies on here have to say about that...

You transferred 4! Awesome! You'll have one stick for sure! Good luck

Definitely too early. There are success stories at that time, but likely an higher amount of false negatives. I wouldn't recommend testing until at least 10dp3dt for a more reliable result. 9dp3dt is also that weird threshold of unreliable answers, but 10 seems to be a little better. Obviously, the longer you wait, the more likely the response to be reliable.

6dp3dt is the craziest time in the whole 2WW in my opinion. It's the day when hormones come crashing down and your body hasn't kicked in to make it's own just yet. It leaves you feel a little extra crazy and a little extra afraid and doubtful. Work hard to stay positive and keep believing in your angels.

Good Luck

TTC#1 April 2003 - Jan 2009
9 IUIs, 12 months Fermara, 4 months Clomid, 5 rounds of injectable, 1 LAP, 1 HSG, 2 Uterine Biopsies, 1 Postcoital, 1 IVF, 2 FETs... 2nd Fesh Cycle IVF - ++Beta 110!

TTC#2 - Dreams coming true... Surprise BFP Au Naturel! Never really started trying, but never gave up hope on dreams coming true. 20w2, after 6 days of strict bedrest, we lost our baby boy, Emmett to my incompetent cervix and he was born sleeping. 24cm long, 0.67lbs he was the most perfect little angel and has brought with him many lessons for us to remember him by.

Lightening strikes twice apparently>>>> May 24 ++HPT, Followed by ++Beta. Numbers are low, but doubling. EDD Feb1/2013 ~ Baby Boy arrived 5 weeks early in under 2hrs. Left me with 4th degree tears. 2 years later, still pending reconstructive surgery :( In that time hubby had a vasectomy. Never thought we'd have a chance to take fertility into our own hands

I agree with DB! I had a meltdown on day 6 past 3 day transfer. It's early, they are at this point just nestling in :). Best of luck, believe and envision.

Too early. Mine didn't show up on an early hpt until 11dp3dt and I had a nice beta (239) at 14dp3dt. I started testing at 9dp3dt. Also, I tested every day after that to watch the line get darker, and it would only darken about every 2-3 days. My line never got darker than the control, it got as dark as the control at 19dp3dt then stayed the same. I would recommend if you test multiple times to keep using the same brand of test each time and be consistent (eg always fmu).

It is early, and I start to test day 10. I would love to say 'try and relax", but I know how crazy the 2ww is. I test sometimes three times a day LOL.
My friend just had a positive, but not until day 16, so don't get worried. My two pregnancy's (both miscarriages) -positive at 10 days past O, and the other was 14 days past O. So it's an unpredictable waiting game :S
I have always used the internet cheapies so I can test like a mad man.

anyday now and you will see that BFP-fingers & toes crossed
