Congratulations lynblair! Great news... really important to imbrace this heartbeat, I like your expression! I wish your waiting time also includes peaceful celebration from test or u/s to another... happy for you!

I am currently very sick, m/s is attacking me morning till evening with least hits after supper (thankfully) but hoping I will take it easier once I am relieved of some worry and hear heartbeat... My u/s is after tomorrow! Fingers and all body organs that could be crossed are so! lol

Gard - only a few more sleeps till the u/s. You being so sick is a great sign that things are ticking along well in there.
As reassuring as nasuea is, it is actually not fun at all. I never thought that it would be that bad, but it is hugely draining. Are you taking diclectin? I have a bottle at home, but have not felt as though it is bad enough, but I might change my mind soon, as even the odd bout seem somewhat unbearable.

AFM - I have a repeat u/s on Friday to see where things are at, thanks goodness. I am still having lots of AF like cramping pretty consistently. It scares the life out of me, as much as I know that some people do have these symptoms. I also just feel generally unwell, I wonder if I might be fighting a bit of the flu. Or maybe it is just the pregnancy?? Who knows. I am tired, nauseated, cold, sometimes shaky, crampy. I am definetly not going to be a poster child of pregnancy.

Lets just keep hoping and praying for strong heartbeats!

This explains all these symptoms and teh early positive I got. But again, as I was saying, all these signs and numbers of beta varry considerably. I hope babies stick and stay healthy. Thanks for the update Gard! I was lurking around other thread and saw that you had good news yesterday! That is great. I wish you an easy 8 more months. Sounds as though you are having a bit of nausea. As horrible as it is, I hope it also gives you the reassurance that it gives me. I will continue to lurk and follow your progress on whatever thread you turn up on. I seem to spend a bit of time on the site (don't tell my boss).

NC - I hear you about the craze of the waits. I can say from experience, that I am not sure if it is better to have an early u/s or what? I had my first one at 6w4d and it was too early to give me any real sense of reassurance, so at the very least at 7w6d you will have a really good idea of where things are at, maybe that is a bit of consolation? I know the wait is so excruciating. Find a good book to read, have you tried the 50 shades series, thats a good distraction, haha!
I also hear you about the symptom analysis. It drives me and my husband crazy. I have actually not been to work in a few days as I just did not feel up to it, emotionally and physically. I have just felt like crap, it is not only nausea at times, but just general unwell. I feel like I have the flu, even when I am not nauseated. I am not sure if this is actually a bug or part of pregnancy. I hope the latter. I have not heard much of people feeling just "unwell", mostly just the complaint of nausea. The fact that I am stressed about the outcomes does not help anything. I do know that my symptoms do come and go, as many people say on this site. Just when I am freaking out as it has been 10 hours of no nausea, I gag for no reason. I also find my boobs are less sore in the morning than at night, and I am way more nauseated at night??? I am also plagues with AF like cramps pretty much around the clock, which are not welcome symptoms at all. Who knows what the heck is going on in our bodies??? It really is a total crap chute and mind f*&@*! Hang in there, and may the days pass quickly, if that is possible. Things are looking in your favour for a good outcome, you have done a lot this time around and it is your time for a long healthy pregnancy!

Lynblair yes I am going crazy waiting! After hearing snowmom's sad u/s it makes me soo nervous..I mean could this happen? No sac, no yolk? My last last u/s for my last pregnancy detected a small gestational sac..and it resulted in a m/c..everyday i look for signs of a m/c..it's upsetting that IF has robbed me of the joy of pregnancy..
I do my best with the days gone by- I work at a school so each day goes by super fast, the weekends not so much. Regarding my symptoms- the only ones that aren't attributed to the prometrium is slight nauseousness hear and there, headache hear and there, and no desire to eat but once given food will eat no problem- and I've gained 2 lbs.
As far as book reading..i've heard of 50 shades of grey..i'll look into that. True Blood has started so that will keep me busy for a bit and there's always So You Think You Can Dance...

NC - I hope the weekend goes by fast for you. I love TrueBlood too. SO glad it is back on. I am really hopeful things will go well for you, I am sure they will. Symptoms really are a moving target, some have them, some don't. My sister has 4 kids and never had a symptom at all, I also have 2 friends that have twins and never really had any symptoms either. So you never know what is going on inside. Just hope and pray that it is your time!

We just got back from our 7w4d ultrasound and I am thrilled to report that both baby a and baby b are doing great, right where they should be. I have not been this happy in 3 years. I know it is early and anything can happen but we are going to enjoy this amazing blessing for all it is worth. I am so thankful, grateful, relieved and happy. Come on little monkeys, grow grow grow!

Good weekend to you all.

Hey everyone, I'm here waiting for my 1st U/S which is this coming Monday. I am so nervous, worried that it was just a pipe dream these past couple of weeks.

NC, when is your U/S? I've had symptoms come and go and it's constantly freaking me out! I read about snowmom and have been researching all afternoon about blighted ovums and all that, of course, it just makes me more nervous. I'm so sad about snowmom's situation.

Lyn and Gardenia, congrats on your twins and that all is going well. Awesome! I would be really surprised if I had twins, even though 3 embies were transferred. My symptoms are so mild thus far.
Me - 41, DH - 36
2006 - kidney transplant recipient, thanks to DH
2009 - DD conceived naturally, born in Feb

After TTC for 2 yrs, referral to RFC, age related factors
Mar 2011 - Feb 2012 - testing revealed age factors and endo cysts on ovaries. IVF recommended.
Feb 15, 2012 - registered for IVF waitlist
March 31, 2012 - Called in AF #1 Day 1
Apr 5, 2012 - Got the call for IVF treatment! Started Marvelon 21 bcp for 21 days

Apr 27, 2012 - Suprefact started
Apr 28, 2012 - AF #2 Day 1
Apr 29, 2012 - 450 IU Gonal F and 150 IU Luveris started
May 5, 2012 - 1st U/S - 3 follies on right ovary. Dr said "There's a high chance no eggs will be retrieved." Continue with same.
May 8, 2012 - 2nd U/S - 4 follies on right ovary. Dr said "It's not ideal for a 40 yr old woman." Continue with same.
May 9, 2012 - 3rd U/S - 4 follies on right ovary, 1 on left ovary (with huge endo cyst). Dr said ER on Sat, working with 4 follies.
May 10, 2012 - HCG trigger
May 12, 2012 - ER - retrieved 8 eggs. 6 mature and 2 intermediate.
May 13, 2012 - 7 fertilized.
May 14, 2012 - 6 embies.
May 15, 2012 - ET - transferred 3 embies back - a 12 cell, an 8 cell and a 7 cell. Monitoring others for potential freezing: a 6 cell and a 5 cell, plus one of poor quality.
May 18, 2012 - froze one of the three remaining embies - yay!
May 26, 2012 - used Clearblue digital - "pregnant 1-2 wks" yay!
May 30, 2012 - used another Clearblue digital - "pregnant 2-3 wks". Then did pg urine test at the lab
May 31, 2012 - RFC confirmed pg, transferred me to my GP
June 1, 2012 - saw GP, comfirmed pg again via urine test. Gave me paperwork for screening.

Gard - thanks and yes, we had our u/s early as DH has to go out of town for work on Monday and I really wanted him with me. It is crazy how much the little things change in just a week. So, we are in the same boat, what is next for you? I have not idea what is next for me? I am in Edmonton too, and don't have an OB yet, nor do I have a GP as she just moved. I am hoping my clinic will find me someone to take care of me, that is nice and knows about IVF babies/mommas. I think my clinic said that they would look after me till around 10 weeks then I am out of there. Is that the same as you? Will the NT be the next step? I am really taking it easy, much like I have been since May 3rd when this cycle started. How you holding up?

KA56 - Hope the u/s is going well today, fx all looks good.

Mamaruns - good luck on Monday, I am sure it will go great!

I have about a week and a bit before my ultrasound. Constantly checking and rechecking symptoms. I would almost prefer to have horrendous ms just so that I could be reassured. As it stands I just experience waves of nausea throughout the day.

Hi ladies - I have been lurking but still trying to remain cautiously optimistic. I figure worrying about the worst that could happen is INEFFECTIVE, so I am trying for the sake of my two little ones to will health and tranquility into their little lives! Hoping I could join your thread? At my early u/s two were detected! Going back on July 10th to see heartbeat(s)! Just praying now that both are snuggled in tight for the long haul! Congratulations to all!Posted Image

Valley-you're right. Worrying is ineffective, I just need to start believing I am pregnant instead of constantly checking symptoms to confirm. I just need to focus on one step at a time. Next step beta # 3.

tj I feel the same way. Most symptoms can be explained but the meds so I will feel reassured by the u/s. my breasts hurt (progesterone), I'm stupid exhausted ( progesterone), I'm constipated (progesterone) and I have to get up at night to pee ( baby). Maybe once the u/s happens I'll be brave enough to put one of those time lines in my signature and to make a post in the due date buddies.

I had to do one yesterday just so taht I could be reassured by the 3+ that indicates I am at greater than 5 weeks. Does you clinic do beta's or just urine tests? I didn't really have any side effects from the progesterone this time. Last BFN cycle I had all the symptoms right through the 2ww this time around I didn't start having real symptoms until after the BFP. I think at the most I had some minor nipple pain in the last week of the 2ww but they've gotten steadily worse. I think its a good sign for you if you are tired and are having symptoms. I'm not waking at all night night to pee and I haven't gotten the constipation but I definitely did after my fresh cycles.
