I joined WW last night...if anyone wants to join me in a support group that would be great...if not that's ok too but I thought I would put this out there.

After having the twins I did really well on WW and got to happy place...but the past 4yrs I've let it all pile on + some.....so I went last night because it's a new program now. They also have an electronic calculator that you can figure foods out and track your points too, it was only 10$ so I bought one.

Here's to losing wtPosted Image it's air popped ;) Posted Image

I did weight watchers on line before my last ivf and lost 20lbs. It does work. I think I'm gonna try on my own for a couple months cuz i have an idea of how many points what i'm eating is worth. I may sign up if i don't do wwll on my own. Yesterday was my first healthier eating day, so far so good, no cheating yet LOL!

I have never joined WW, too complicated for me, but I have been slowly getting back into shape for the past year, and have found spark people to track calories and run keeper to track miles to be really helpful.

Hi girls...I'm on spark people too, come find me I'm Dolly_37 what are your names?

Kerri your right the points work...I love the new calculator they have you just punch in the number(protein, carbs, fat, fibre) and it gives you the points and you can track your daily points on the calculator too if you want...but I'm old school I like the paper and pen so I can see what I eat.

Duck-it can be confusing...but they also give you exta points to use if you need them

ps. Kerri in the new ww points system all fruits are zero! :) very happy about that and Most veggies are the only ones that still have points are corn, peas and something else, um if avocado is a fruit it's not free....but I think it's a veggie...I don't eat them anyways so it doesn't matter...but it's nice now that my banana doesn't cost me points anymore...free's up extra points for a snack...or a tad extra dressing!

Awesome that fruits are free :-)

I found a link on my blackberry that is similar to the ww calculator telling you how many points something is, u put in calories fat and fibre and it calculates the points. I'm klcuppage on spark. When i figure out how to use the sight i'll add you. It's not the easiest site to navigate through thats fir sure

Duck what is your name on spark?

I belong to a few groups one is w8wathers, Fabulous b4 40 or something like that, for the love of horror,

Kerrilyn-you are right the site has sooooooo much stuff it can be hard to navigate and you can get lost....I always look to the top and use the drop downs....community is where you can access your spark page, I tend not to use the message boards since I have here and one other site I belong too, but I like meeting people and belonging to groups...joining challenges is a great way to compete and stay motivated,

I used to be a team leader on there...but I gave it up, I found I didn't have the time to be a good leader so it wasn't fair to my, kind of like when I gave up admin here, I didn't think it was fair to have the title but not be contributing what I should be contributing, I like floating :)

How is everyone doing this week?
I'm staying on track I've used some of my flex points....but I'm much more aware now of what I'm eating.... I MOVED the chocolates off my desk and put them acrooss the office so if I want one I have to get up and get it....dh laughed at me and said I should just through them out....but they were a gift and I keep them out so everyone can enjoy them....my bosses have been chowing down on them so soon they will be gone :)

went shopping yesterday, stocked up on some fruit, and healthy stuff....I have not stepped on the scale since tuesday at ww...I'm going to try and stay off the scale...I get really addicted to wi and will hop on everyday...but this time I'm trying to stay off it's hardPosted Image

I'm runnadinerun.

I've never actually used the networking aspect until you guys let me know! It was more the place I went to create a recipe so I can see how many calories are in it, and track my calories. I have made a commitment to track the calories, and I can usually stick to my range, but if I don't I still write it all down. Just trying to be more self aware of the affect that food has on me, if I eat too much meat, I feel heavy, weighed down and tired, know what I mean?

This week has been good, I am back to running outside again! I started running November 2010(at my biggest of around 170), couldn't run for a few seconds at a time, and stuck with it, now training for my first half marathon in may.

I'm not a scale person, I just find that I can physically be smaller/healthier and not necessarily weigh less, and then when I step on the scale expecting there to be a difference, and there isn't, sorta kills the motivation. But, I'm joining a gym this weekend (got a deal for 3 months on living social for 29) so I will weigh myself then when we start the whole assessment thing!

I'm doing good so far. Weighed myself tuesday and i too am trying not to step on the scale every day. Like really, is it reasonable to think i've dropped 5 pounds overnigt? Lol. Wishful thinking. Found myself hungry yesterday, made dh get up to get me 2 turtles out of the bag of chocolate left over from xmas, i would have eaten more than 2 if i went and got the bag myself lol. Steve would never suggest throwing out a box of chocaltes, if something in the fridge is about to expire he makes it his mission to eat it all before it does, i think he ate 15 yogurts once  I have cetainly been more conscious about what I'm eating so that's good. And i went back to 1 morning cup of coffee a day. That's all i ever used to drink but since being home with the baby i drink 3-4. Now I need to figure out a way to increase my water intake. Again, when i was working, at my desk, i drank water all day long, now i'm lucky if i drink 500ml a day. That needs to change. I think i might put 4 bottles on the counter every night and make it a goal to drink all 4 the next day. Hopefully that works.

There's a local group of girls here who get together for a bootcamp sort of thing, they meet tuesday and thursday, 100.00 for 8 nights, not bad, i think i'm gonna give it a go this tuesday, they warned me it's PLYO night, whatever the heck that is but apparently it's some hard core cardio that is gonna make me sweat sweat sweat. Great! I hate cardio! Of course i have to decide to join on cardio night. Blech!

So i'll do Mon/Wed/Fri at home on the treadmill and weights and Tues/Thurs at boot camp for the next 4 weeks. I just may need to design a boot to kick my ass down the stairs! Lol

I'm gonna have to get on the desktop today and master spark, i think its even hardr to navigate on the tablet.

i've been good all week. Went to the gym everyday this week and tomorrow I will top it with hot yoga. However the scale hates me. I have lost tons of inches since I started in August but the scale hardly moves. It can be frustrating especially when you wish you only weighed 120 lbs and you have a million pounds to go.

I hate those bmi charts... Apparently i'm obese. I know i need to lose weight but i don't think i'm obese. And according to these charts i should weigh 130lbs, ridiculous! I would be ill if i weighed that! Lol

Kerrilyn your dh & my dh are very different...after xmas he purged the house of baking while I was out...I was thankful! BMI are ok I think as a guidline of where to be but it's not something to base wt loss on. I'm supposed to be 130 also but I'm going for 140, heck at this point I just want back to the 150's! Sucks being short (5ft 2) because the chub has nowhere to go!

Duck & Stacey I found you both!
Kerrilyn I can't find you...is your page private? come find me it might be easier dolly_37, go to spark page and there will be a search bar to search for people, even if you only enter Doll it should bring me up.

I am obesePosted Image it's tough typing that...sad...but....true...I have to face the fact that at 5ft 2in 178 is NOT healthy.....how the f*ck did I get here????And I always thought 120 was fat...hmph....if only I could go back in time and slap myself Posted Image oh well...eyes forward...I can do this!

I hope you all have a good weekend! Even though we are all on spark it's kind of nice chatting in here.

KL - those BMI charts are much more of a guideline, my doctor (not that she's great) but totally ignores the BMI charts. According to those charts, I'm overweight, but I'm in better shape now then I was when I was when I was skinny, now I can run 10k, then I couldn't run 100 metres!

I have been trying to find pictures of me last year when I was in the 170s, but, there isn't any! Just baby pictures and pictures of me with babies in front of me hiding everything...

They should all be burned, just make people feel crappy about themselves and i could see how it could lead to serious weight issues for some women, i would seriously be ill if i weighed the "ideal" weight for my height. I'm hippy and carry a lot of weight in my legs, hips and butt, that will never change. When i told me bestfriend i needed to lose 50-60lbs she immediately told me i was crazy cuz i carry it well, but really, i need to lose that, i'm always so tentative to put my weight down, i bought a calander for the workout room dowstairs where i could record my weekly weight and my workouts and i wrote my weight backward so if people look at it they won't think it's my weight LOL. So here goes, my secret will be safe with you ladies and the thousands of people who lurk here LOL...

Current weight - 210
Height - 5'8
Target weight - 160

Ps.. Still no luck with the water intake ugh :bang: and i didn't work out yesterday like i planned... Today for sure! :D

I am not joining , because I barely logging into ivf.ca anymore. I just wanted to let you ladies know there are alternative to WW. I signed up for a calorie counting website http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ and I lost 25lb between June and December. I am doing P90X workout , which is one of a kind ;)
anyway it is free, and help you keep track of your food intake. It has over 700,000 food , and you can add your own, and recipes too.
It keps track of calories, fat, protein, carb etc. It was really eye opening to see the calorie count on some food.
Good luck with your weight loss journey!

Lol @ kellyanne! Love it!

Thank Ope. I will check out that site as well, spark still has me confused!

I did my workout today yay! Still stiff from the last workout  no pain no gain right? Lol
Me (Kerri-Lyn) 41, DH (Steve) 37, TTC since April 2007Unexplained IF (possibly crappy eggs, AMH 10.4 = poor responder) - HSG, SHGx3, Lap, Cycle Monitoring, Recurrent loss bloods, EMB, Karyotyping, DNA Frag - all normal! 7 IUI's, 2 cancelled IVF's, 3 complete IVF's, 1 FET, 2 clinics, 1 early miscarriage, lots of debt, lots of heartache, lots of tears. We rolled the dice and got lucky on our last ditch "close the door" cycle and have a beautiful little girl. April 2014 - Had the crazy notion to try for another. Shocked with a BFP, miscarried @ 8W6D. See my "about me" page for more cycle details.

Thanks ope! I have used that one, spark people and my plate, I find that they are all great. My husband really liked the site you used. I like the social aspect of spark people.

I just had my fitness assessment at premiere fitness, not good! Apparently my body fat is 33 percent and it should be 20 percent, so I was right, twenty more pounds to go. I know I am in decent enough shape, I am running, but still they make you feel awful! Ah! If I didn't have a living social deal, I would have never gone there, not impressed.

Diagnosed with endometrosis at age 19

5 pelvic surgeries

2 IVF, numerous FETs

2 different gestational carriers

Now mother of 2 year old twins.

kerrylin: do not stress over BMI, unless you are planning on cycle again, lol.
I am 5'7.5'" and 195 lb, with a BMI 30.1 , which is still obese. My size 10 gap jeans are lose and need a belt. I wear size 9/10 pants from Lea Château. Also I just bought myself a size 8 lululemon ( NOT the stretchy type) pants. It was in the clearance section on the website, and bought as a motivation pants for the summer. Except they fit perfectly now. I do not think a women in my height wearing size 8-10 clothing should be obese, but i am.
Maybe I should get a breast reduction, lol. If I had a B cup instead of my HH cup boob, then I would be 10 or more lb lighter and would be only overweight.

Duck: I know you do not want to have more kids, but 20% body fat actually lowers women fertility. There are studies show that under 22% body fat women fertility start to decline. Most of the athletes with that kind of body fat do not even have their period anymore. It may look good, but I do not think that is healthy.
