Hello everyone,

My DH and I are looking to do a FET in early Dec. We did our first round of IVF in May (with Dr. B.R. in Markham) and got pregnant with twins (g/B), sadly we lost the twins at 20 weeks. Now our big decision is to stay with B.R and bring the frozen embryos to Procrea or be referred to a new dr. at Markham. I just dont know what to think about moving the embryos and have someone else thaw them??? I am kind of nervous to go to a new dr. when we have had such great luck with dr. B.R. Any suggestions??? Anyone done FET and been successful? Can't believe we are back here again :(

I would highly recommend staying w/ Dr BR at her new clinic. Have you been there? If not, visit the clinic. It's beautiful. Totally different 'feel' there than at MFC.

Re: concerns about the embryos ... I don't think it's a huge deal to have them moved, or no one would ever do it. If you're concerned, discuss it w/ her.

Hi there! I see this thread hasn't been used in a while, butI was wondering if anyone was currently going to this clinic? I have been with Dr BR from Lifequest to Markham and are now starting with her again after having a successful pregnancy and the birth of DS. I was just wondering what the clinic is like and what I should expect with the cycle monitoring - wait times, when to arrive to try and get in and out as quickly as possible, call backs, etc. I haven't yet been to the new clinic and my appointment is scheduled for May 22. Hope to find people who are going there! Posted Image

It seems nobody has responded to this thread in quite a while but I would be happy to discuss my experience at this clinic (which wasn't a great one!)

Hi,

I would like to know about your experience at this clinic.

What happened?

I am getting referred there and also to Markham clinic but i am afraid it's gonna take 1-2 years to get the procedure iui or ivf done at Markham as wait times are awful!

I got a BFP through a fresh cycle (ER and ET done at the Vaughan location, monitoring done at the Newmarket location). Unfortunately I just miscarried, but through no fault of them. My experience at Vaughan through two fresh and one frozen cycle haven't been too bad. My only suggestion if you go there is to clarify how long you need to wait after transfer. They told me the first time to rest for a while and I thought they would tell me when I could pee. No one came and DH had to go find someone when I got to the point of peeing all over the table. That's been my only issue.
Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I am sorry for your loss! i had gone through it in April! DH and i were so devastated!...

i can only assume that i had to go through it. When he wasnt around, i cried and cried with questions why it had to happen to me? but time heals. DH was the greatest support to me! I didnt tell my mom or my sister about the pregnancy or mc. I am a very private person when it comes to these kind of things.

but...life goes on! we are very optimistic!

Thank you very much for your feedback on this clinic.

I live in Newmarket and heard that staff was not very professional at this location, RH is much much better.

The Newmarket staff are getting better. I had a couple of blunders last year (one that resulted in a FET attempt being postponed by a month), but I do like Dr. K.

I would recommend the RH location, unless you think you have some kind of immunity issue because I heard MF shines in that area. However, since your issues are PCOS/septum removal you should be fine at Procrea (I had both issues in addition to some others). Once we are done with our frozen embies, I will have to reevaluate. If we continue, it will probably be with another clinic. This will be the second change in doctor for Newmarket in less than two years and I'm getting a bit sick of it (although I might want to hear what the new person says, as it least I know I'm getting different opinions).

Odd. Dr. K is definitely still there. I have a follow up appointment with him in a few weeks.

This gives DH and I time to decide our next steps and my levels to go back to 0.

I tried to write about my negative experience but it got deleted! It's not really fair that people can post how great a clinic is but not how terrible they were...
