Seems pretty quiet over here. Anyone currently with UBC? We've been working with UBC for over a year and now trying to decide about IVF #3.

Hi Sunny and Zeukko,

I'm at UBC too. We've been doing IUIs all summer, but will probably do IVF #4 at UBC either in the fall or the spring.

We've got our IVF consult for later this month. The booking clerk said we have to watch a video. I told her we've already done IVF 3 times, but she said we still have to watch it. Question for you guys - what's the video about?? (If it's about UBC's services, I'm okay with it, but I don't think DH and I can sit through an entire video explaining what IVF is!)
Me: 41, DH: 44
TTC: since Jan, 2008 (age 34)

DH: Low morphology, low count. Me: Stage 2-3 endometriosis, non-functional fallopian tubes, small fibroids, low AFC, low poor responder ... anything else?

Jun 2008-Sep 2011 in a nutshell: One HSG, one very traumatic office hysteroscopy, one operative laparoscopy, three fresh IVF/ICSI cycles, one chemical, one early miscarriage, two tubal recanalizations, five IUIs (3 with Clomid).

May 2010 - Aug 2011 Attempted adoption application process through the BC MCFD. Aug 2011 Signed up with a private agency. On both waiting lists as of Apr 2012. Proposal through MCFD Jul 2012. Aug 2012 - Finally ... she's home and we're a family! : )

Adoption application #2 started Aug 2013. DD2 placed May 2014, finalized Feb 2015!

To be honest, I don't recall watching a video at all. If it's about IVF, just tell the nurse that you're familiar with the procedures and she'll probably bypass it.

Hi Zeukko & Impatient!

We've been patients at UBC for over a year now and our IVF counselling was Sept 2010. There was no video, just a nurse going through what the IVF procedures are. Maybe they've changed things since then.

I hope you get some good news this time Zeukko!

Last week was really rough for me. I really thought this second IVF would work since we had two really nice embryos but during the wait I highly suspected it didn't and getting the official confirmation was tough. I just hate it because I feel like I'm not only racing time (age) but also the possible return of the hyperplasia they found last fall. Well, gotta move on. I'm going to try to lose more weight before the next one. That's the only thing I know I can do. I was also reading on the board about baby aspirin and Co-Q10. I'm going to ask about that in our follow-up appt next week.

Even when we expect the worst, it still stings, doesn't it? I think this cycle is a dud too. Tomorrow is AF and I'm getting all the typical AF symptoms. Part of me thinks that if I can just make it past tomorrow, there is a good chance I'm pregnant. But I don't want to get my hopes up too much just in case. I've been taking CoQ10 since January. My embryos for my first cycle were mediocre but this cycle had some excellent ones. I don't know if it has a cumulative effect or what. Who is your RE? Mine is Cheung though I've primarily seen Rowe and Allaire during my cycles.

Not sure if anyone is still following this thread ... we're having a childfree Meet Up in Vancouver at Milestones on Oct 13th. The more, the merrier. Details are in the Meet Up thread, or you can PM me.

Darn, I missed the meet-up. Did you go? How was it?
My schedule has been busy this past month so I haven't been on here for awhile.

How are you two doing? After the negative results at the end of August, I'm taking 3 months to focus on getting healthier and lose weight.

Zeukko - My dr is Williams but throughout the cycle, I don't really see her much. She did the transfer on our first IVF, and a couple ultrasounds on the second IVF.
