I was just wondering if anyone else has been part of this study and how did it turn out? I joined and excited and hopeful that it works. Would love to hear from others who also are part of this study.

Hi Lucy - I met with an Ovo RE last Thursday and she will request that we be joined to the study if we cycle with them in 3-4 months. I am cycling with the MFC in a couple weeks, but if things don't work out, we have the option of switching to Ovo. Sounds exciting and promising indeed!! FXs that you get a positive result :-)

Thanks Cat!

When they explained the study to me, they said that they could tell up to 80% which eggs will lead to implantation, if there are any abnormalities, if the baby will have downs syndrome and I was expecting some info on transfer day instead they just told me that they passed the g-test. They seemed to choose my 2 embryos based on the old method of cell division so what was the point? I also asked about my 2 4 cell embryos and they said they didn't know if they passed and the person taking care of the study wasn't there and they would call me back the next day (which they didn't).

I'm surprised they will still be doing the study in 3-4 months as the girl told me they are doing the study on 100 women. Do they really have that little women participating in the study?

Anyway, I hope your cycle in 2 weeks works. Best of luck!

Thanks Lucy! It does sound a little strange that they used the old method to choose your embbies, although if the test is not 100%, then I can understand why the embryologist would want to use the usual method as their main determinative test. You should follow-up regarding your 2 4-cell embryos. It would drive me crazy not knowing if they passed!! Perhaps we won't be allowed to participate in 3-4 months if the limit of 100 is met. Our RE did mention that she would have to make a request that we be allowed to participate, so I'm thinking that certain criteria need to be met to be allowed to participate. Best of luck to you too!!!
