Some members requested that we start a forum that is a little more privacy protected. Thus the the new forum Area 51.

Members with 100+ posts automatically have access. For those less than 100 posts, access can be made my password from a referring member. The password is recorded in that forum's pinned topic. My hope is that it is shared with any and all legitimate active members. It's not meant to keep our member base out. Instead the intent is to keep it a little more protected from those who want to posts without family, friends or co-workers reading over their online shoulders.

A word of caution - this is the internet and not everything always goes according to hoyle. There is no guarantee of privacy. This is simply a best efforts initiative. Always protect yourself on the internet and guard your personal information, no matter how comfortable or secure you feel.

Tryingtostaypositive,
Area51 is mainly for those of us who have been around fir a while. For the protection of those members, as well as yourself, I'd recommend reaching out to the moderator Gibasgirl and verifying. I would say that most of us here trust her judgement and if she deemed that you should be given the password then so be it.

Good luck with your journey.

Me - now 36 Him - 37
Trying to conceive since our wedding day May 25, 2008.
Started Clomid Jan-April 2012.
Referred to RFP June 2012.
First consult at RFP November 2012.
First IVF cycle on antagonist protocol (GonalF, Luveris) January 2013.
Transferred two day-3 embryos, had severe OHSS, lost one twin between 7-13 weeks but was expecting one little one October 2013.
Found out at 6 mos that our little one had died weeks earlier and had to induce and deliver stillborn, July 25, 2013.
Something found on adrenal gland at follow up ultrasound, MRI showed what seems to be a benign tumor. Meeting with specialist Jan 8, 2014 - all fertility treatments on hold. :/
Tumour is definitely producing Aldosterone (causes high blood pressure) and Cortisol. Lucky me, only 34 similar cases recorded in the world! Tumour removed May 2014.
Approached about a possible adoption March 2014. Rush through all the paperwork and process.
Charlotte Evangeline born June 27, 2014. We brought her home on July 7 and held our breath for 10 days until she officially became ours.
Surprise BFP October 2014. Due to wonky cycles, ultrasounds convince Doctors I have a blighted ovum but detailed ultrasound reveals heartbeat at 6w3d. On progesterone support and waiting to see if pregnancy is still viable. Holding our breath again.
Adalyn Marie born on June 9, 2014 after a roller coaster pregnancy.

You are probably better off checking out the low AMH/DOR threads for the information you require!

best of luck

me 26, dh 32

ttc for almost 3 years

one ectopic pregnancy, lost one tube- 2013

one miscarriage- 2014

poor egg quality, unstable hormone levels. AMH dropped from 4 to 1.5 in 4 months.. had it retested and came back at 1.4

1st ivf booked to begin in september

Sept 17- B/w and U/S, Starting Stimulation

Clinic Error and IVF cycle cancelled in October- took some time to think about my options

Jan 22- Estrace Started

Estimated Retrieval day for donor is Feb 6. 5 days into the cycle, donor was found to have cocaine and marijuana in her bloodstream- cycle cancelled.. heartbroken and very disappointed

Hello Tryingtostaypositive,

Welcome to the community.

Actually, the general forums have many more threads to offer in terms of getting and receiving information. There are a number of existing threads that discuss AMH, FSH, POF and many of the other issues that we encounter while trying to grow our families with medical assistance, whereas Area 51 isn't really for that per se.

I would recommend checking out some of the existing threads, or even posting a question in the "Ask the RE" section of the forums.

Here are some examples:

Also, please feel free to introduce yourself to the community. There's an Introductions section and it's an opportunity to say "hello" to the others.

Welcome and wishing you the best as you build your family.

Hi Bri,

Area 51 can be accessed after 100 posts...looks like you're almost there!
It was long, awful & hard. We got very lucky and didn't run out of both emotional and financial resources. We saw some of the most beautiful of people in our lowest moments. Baby Girl arrived Apr 10/2018

Is there any other way to get a password to Area 51 other then basically spamming the site?   There are so few active threads on the main site, that the only way to get the password in a timely manner is by posting unhelpful post to threads   (like offering hugs, or good luck)

I can understand the need for a password protected area, but maybe the requirements to get the password need to be reviewed, given the traffic on the main site these days.

idream, I wouldn't be in a great rush to get into Area 51. All the "meat" is in the main part of the site. I find Area 51 more about griping with a few good friends.
