Hi Stacy!! Glad we can cycle together again! ;). I'm gearing up for a FET at the beginning of Oct. I have 5 embies frozen....I can't believe I'm starting up again after 2 1/2 years!! Kind of excited, kind of scared.

Welcome srjv! Great to have you on board. :).
I'm on the bc pills too....they are turning me into an old crankpot....LOL. I had some break-through bleeding too for just a couple of days. I was worried as this has never happened before but I read online it can be normal. I go for my teaching visit Sept.10 & then I start suprefact on the 18th! Yay! Glad to finally get things underway.

Yeah waiting for testing is so long. I think we've waited so long anyways all the time for everything. At first DH wasn't much on board to go see the drs or specialist so we kinda struggled a little to get him to move forward. I'm more like the GO-GO kinda person and he's more like the wait and see kinda kind. Sometime we had really bad arguments. We love each other good thing because many times I thought that our couple would not survive but it did. :Emoticons01015:

I've been offered a new job Friday so this could postpone a little our cycle just a few more months. I certainly don't want to be asking for time off already when just starting so I will suck it up and wait if needed. But it will happen soon that's all I keep telling myself.

stacy- I talked to a few family members in Moncton and I guess the hurricane was not how it was supposed to be. Good thing you were prepared. We got just normal rainy day yesterday for us. The wind wasn't that bad and the amount of water was ok too.

sara- Good luck at your appts. I think there is less stuff to take or do while doing a FET?

Hi,
I had a pretty ok weekend, I was on call for work until midnight last night. Today, we headed up to Sussex for lunch & then to the park.
My teaching visit is this Friday at 1pm. Oh how fun it will be to jab those needles in my belly again..;).
I swear to god Stacy, I'm a whole different person when I'm on those pills.....my poor hubby, he always takes it personal.
srjv-Did they give you much time to decide if your taking the new job? Keep us posted!

I can't believe school starts tomorrow....I think I may have to leave a few minutes earlier to beat all the traffic on the highway. Anyway, have a great week ladies!

The weekend has been pretty busy for me. Taking care of DH, helping him in/out of bed to use the bathroom at night. It's a little exausting but eventually he will be able to do it on his own. I brought him for a drive at my parents yesterday. Tonight we did a fire outside. :) Tomorrow is my first day back at work since June. I was off all summer like teachers. It's nice although not much time to waste since we were in Moncton a few times for the clinic. Plus all the visits to the hospital to get BW. Summer was good and we enjoyed going to beach as many time as we could. I'm looking foward to go back to work although it might not be for long.

I'm not 100% sure that I would delay it even if I start the new job. It just seems easier to postpone it instead of asking for time off already but my new boss is very nice and easy to accomodate me. He said as long as I do 36,5 hours a week it's up to me how I do them. :D We'll see in time how everything will turn out. I still need to have him call me back this week to tell me more details. For now I'm still looking at cycling in October but if we delay it maybe I'll wait until after the holidays. I keep telling myself that 2010 will be my year so I certainly don't want to put too much pressure but I want it to happen. :P It will be a dIUI. So we also need to choose a donor before we can cycle and have it ship to the clinic. I'll wait until we receive all our BW and also until DH feels better. We choose to do a medicated cycle. So I will be given clomid from CD3 to CD7. On CD3 I go in for an u/s and they will show me how to use the shot later on in the cycle. On CD11 I will go for another u/s and they will decide when I do the trigger. The trigger is a one shot needle called Ovidrel. Now because my DHEAS was slightly higher I also have to take Dexathemasone during the cycle and they also found that my prolactine is high so I will need to take another drug but not sure what was the name. I retested for prolactine so it might be alright.

stacy- My dad has been wearing some type of mask for a good 10 years. He was snoring so bad and he was always tired. They realised he had sleep apnea on top of his asthma so not much oxygene was going in. It has help him a lot not to mention that we were finally able to sleep without hearing him snore. Good luck with that test.

sara- They called me in the morning and asked to receive my resume ASAP. I went an hour later and he talked like as if I already had the job. At the end of talking he said would this be something that interest you? I said yes right away. Even though it might not be as secure right now as I would like it to be it is a really good job so I can't refuse it. This is a lifetime decision for sure. What makes it hard to decide is that I still like my other job but there is no more advancement. The salary is better. The hours too. It's totally different than what I do and I've never done this type of job. It goes from being in the field and than teacher people how to work in the field. But it sounds so interesting and I've been wanting to get out of the place I work for over 4 years now so time is overdue. ^_^

Hi Everyone,

I just signed up to the website and thought I would check out the Conceptia clinic forum as that is the clinic DH and I are going to. I had my mock exam @ the end of august and plenty of BW. Waiting now for all of the results to come back so we can get started. The clinic thought they should have everything back by mid September. We have been TTC for 4 years and are very anxious. This website is fantastic, I am so thankful that I found it.

tredella-welcome to the site! I hope all goes well & you can start cycling very soon!

srjv-I've had problems with my prolactin before. I had to go on meds called parlodel (bromocriptine). I had a hard time with it...a big side effect was nausea. Anyway, it did work for me & brought my prolactin back in the normal ranges. Since I'm starting to cycle again I had to get it tested again (it was 2 1/2 yrs ago since my last test) & it was normal.
Glad it looks promising for you to be able to cycle in Oct. Hope it works out!

Hi everyone! Thanks Stacy for inviting me to the group! It's been crazy busy for me that past few weeks and I haven't been able to get online everyday. We've moved into our new house and are starting to settle in. I've started the Suprefact injections. I'm going in tomorrow for my baseline visit. Hopefully all will turn out good and I can start the stims. I hear you all on the waiting. I think its one of the worst part. I had a cyst back in May so had to delay our cycle. Everything worked out so far. I hope you ladies all get your blood work back and get to start soon!

Nikki :-)

nikki- Welcome to the group.

stacy- Dh is doing a lot better. Although he still needs to be carefull and relax for the next 5 weeks. :th_angrywife: The hardest part for him. While I'm at work all day I always wonder what he does and if he's being carefull. Men!!! The guy called me again asking to send out another resume since the HR brought up to his attention that there was no months on my work experience and just years. This resume has been done professionnaly from the CBDC and it took them like 3 months to prepare it. I thought it was awesome now I'm doubting myself about their work which could look like I do sloppy work. :th_aggahhh: I so want to get that job. I hope he calls me back soon.

ivf dreamer -- welcome!

srvj - I'm also curious to what happened to your husband. 5 weeks is a long time to be resting. Hope he gets better soon!

Stacy - Hope you get the go ahead from your doctor!

AFM the clinic just called. There's one of my hormones that's a little elevated. So they want me to up my dose of Suprefact to 1ml. She's going to call me back with my new calendar. She said usually there's only about a week delay. There's also an extra charge of $250 because the cycle is longer which really sucks. Oh well, hopefully everything is happening for a reason. I'll keep you all posted!

Hey ladies! I'll be going in next Wed for a 2nd baseline visit. Hopefully all will look good.

Sara - good luck with your teaching visit.

Where does everyone plan to give their shots. I've been doing it in the stomach but last night decided to try the leg and it hurt. I'm wondering if it was because of a higher dose or if I did something wrong.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Stacy, Thanks so much!! Yes the clomid didn't work well with me at all... RE thinks I have a great shot at IVF, my tubes are good, uterus looks great, lining and circulation and horomones all A-1..Just don't ovulate..EVER lol I'm under 30 so I'm hoping the odds will work in our favor!! Our teaching visit is Monday and I'm so anxious, can't wait!! Hope you get the go-ahead from your Doc soon!! Good luck with your Suprefact injections! :)

Nikii, Good look on your second baseline visit!! Hope all goes well for you :) I've heard injections in the stomach is the preferred place for alot of ladies, It will be a first for me so I'm sticking with words of advice from them lol Looking forward to hearing about it! :)

Nikki-I give my shots in the belly. I use to use my leg but it really stung & left bruises. Good luck on weds, hope you get some good news!

IVF-My teaching visit went well.....I'm doing a FET so there's less involved than with an IVF. I only have to do suprefact injections.....& an ovidrel inj.

I'm heading out of town for the week, but will post when I get back. Good luck to everyone with their appts, injections etc.. this week.

stacy- My Dh had an hernia and had to have it fixed. The recovery is 6 weeks. He's not allow to force or bend to make sure everything stays in place. He's been complaining already of being tired of relaxing. It's going to be a very long 5 weeks left. I think he's being good and not doing too much while I'm at work. He did dishes yesterday so one thing I didn't have to do. I'm used to have him help a lot around the house. He cleans just as much as me. I'm very lucky. Too bad your crystal ball can only tell about jobs. I wished to know when I will get pg and have our baby. :P I guess the ball was right because I got the job. :D

kelsey- Welcome to the group. :wavey: Good luck tomorrow at your teaching visit.

nikki- DH had an hernia surgery. He's doing much better than the first week but he's still hurt and needs to be careful. Hope that meds fixed the hormone and you are on your way to baby. Sucks that the price goes up.

sara- Glad your teaching visit went well too. Have fun on on being out of town for a week if it's for vacation purpose. B)

AFM- Well I've been really busy all week. I started my job back after summer vacation. I work in a daycare so the week was very crazy. Babies were all new and crying poor thing. I got the official call on Friday that I got the new job. :th_acheerlead: I'm so excited yet a little concern about if I will be good enough to do that kind of job. I will be teaching at the CCNB. Wow it sounds like a dream job and I wonder how I got it. It's still surreal right now. I'm starting on September 27th so this gives me a chance to give 2 weeks notice at my other job. I will be asking for a leave of abscence and FX they accept. I am looking forward to a new beginning in my career life.
