I have been going to this clinic for over a year and am not sure if I should proceed with my IVF there. I am seeing Dr. Greenblatt and I find the care very impersonal. I have meet with her 4 times and she still has no idea who I am. If I am paying $12 grand and going through all the IVF procedures I would like more personalized care.

What has been your experience?

I whent to Mt Sinai and I was very happy with them. Although I didnt have Dr.Greenblatt, she was the Dr. who did my retrieval and yes,she was not overly personal but she was very competent and professional. I am now 20 weeks pregnant and so.... They were also very good at getting back to me whenever I had a question and the nurses are awesome!
I have not tried any other clinic so I can't compare.
Good luck.

I say follow your instincts. No clinic -- no matter how good they are -- can mesh with 100% of their patients. You're making a huge investment in your future family and should be getting the kind of care that suits your needs. There are other doctors out there that can provide the personal care that you need. When all is said and done, you want to look back and know that you followed the path of least regret. Sometimes this involves a change, or a second opinion. You might conclude Sinai is the place for you, or you may end up finding a clinic and RE that are a better match.

Wishing you all the best, Briana.

I have been seeing Dr. Greenblatt for 8 years and there are still times she doesn't remember me, But don't forget because they are in the hospital they see hundreds if not thousands of patient each year it is hard to remember everyone.

I personally would not trade her for the world.

Alwayshope is right, the nurses are fantastic!!! they are always quick to get back to me, answer all our questions. Once you start you cycle you will be dealing more with the nurses then the actual doctors.

As I understand Dr. Greenblatt is one of the best REs in North America. She had done some of my procedures and she was present at our recent ET. I found her very friendly and when we questioned the day 5 transfer vs. day 3, she answered all our questions and brought out the embryologist to talk to us about the state of our embryos in detail.

At the beginning of our journey, my family psysician said that I'd get the best care if we went to Mt. Sinai, but she had warned me that at times I may feel like cattle being processed through procedures. She had both her babies at Mt. Sinai, experienced that, but would not chose to have them anywhere else.

Having now gone through one IVF cycle, I may have perceived the process that way had I not been warned, but it's just a matter of staying organized. Ultimately, my bottom line is going to a place that is going to get me pregnant - the friendliness is secondary to me. I am also happy to say that the medical and nursing staff at Mt. Sinai have been very knowledgeable, showed care and great empathy. Although our first fresh IVF cycle did not result in a pregnancy, we are on to our FET shortly and looking forward to it!
