Hi ladies. I'm starting my first IVF cycle soon and looking for some buddies. I've been a patient of Dr. H for 3 years and just moved over to UBC. I feel like a 'lifer' going to PCRM kwim? lol
Regardless of clinic i'm hoping to chat with some cycle buddies.

Hi Starbuck! Like I said, i've been going to PCRM for awhile. I had Dr H do my lap/hysteroscopy too. I have a cyst that hasn't gone away for the past 4 years.... I decided to have it removed as one more thing to try and DR. H told me he would have my obgyn do it since he has no more privledges at Burnaby General. My obgyn is actually a friend of his in White Rock. She said she would do it but her opinion was that it was not necessary and may actually do more damage than good. She was willing to send me to DR. Rowe at UBC for a second opinion. After ttc for this time and getting tired of it all I wanted one more opinion from an RE that is well respected before I "give up". He was wonderful, also said he would not recommend the surgery (I cancelled it. He told me on my first visit about the Hope Fund (a charity that provides finances for IVF to those who cannot afford it). We applied and were accepted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is such a blessing, the only way we could try IVF. Dr. Rowe was also willing to honor our wishes as to how many eggs to attempt to fertilize (our moral choice). This made it our decision for us.

I really liked all three of the RE's at PCRM though. Bottom line I want a baby.

So, for the first time in years, I kind of celebrated the arrival of my AF yesterday because it means we are on our way with IVF. I take my first BCP tomorrow. The nurse phoned me today to give me my protocol but I missed the call. They were supposed to call my cell but ended up calling my house. Normally, this wouldn't really bother me but I'm excited and anxious to find out what my meds and schedule will be.

Tigger74, you'll be joining me soon!! Good luck!
