Dear Dr

I was a 26 year old patient,Went through 2 ivf fresh cycles due to tubal factor. Each cycle yielded a decent number of eggs 7-10,fertilization 9/10,although i found my egg quality was not that great with First cycle 1/grade1,1/grade2 rest 3's and 4's..Second cycle 2/grade 2 rest 3's and 4's.I did get pregnant with Twins and had a live Twin birth, that was two years ago was thinking about doing ivf agian, and i have to mention I had none for freezing each time, what might a clinic want to change to impove a young patients egg quailiy

Thank you for your time

go ahead with another cycle, you should be optimistic....at least 2 of your eggs made it to twins. it is worth trying again if you want more babies.

good luck

It seems to me that you did well for your previous IVF cycles. However, you may discuss your concerns with your doctor about whether to try mild ovarian stimulation protocol if you like.

Evidence in favour of mild ovarian stimulation for IVF is accumulating in recent literature. Namely young, good responders and polycystic ovary syndrome patients may benefit from mild stimulation. Recent studies suggest that a similar response following mild stimulation is associated with better outcomes although number of eggs retrieved is reduced.

Good luck,
Sai
Are you an IVF-ICSI patient (of any clinic)? You're invited to join a study of genetic outcomes in pregnancies conceived by In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) with Dr Sai Ma, PhD.
