BestMom - just wanted to let you know that if you don't get any cycle buddies in the Conceptia forum check out the "Cyle buddies" thread. There are plenty of members from different clinics starting in January.

Good luck with your cycle.

Today is my day 4 and my estrogen level has gone up to 1396... I'm not sure whether it is ok... Nurse reduced Gonal-F from 150 to 75..... wondering how long I should take the injection before ER??

Also, I have 4 follicles in my right ovary and 7 in my left today... Is it a normal count?? When can I know how many eggs do I have??

Babytime: Hope you are fine with your ER.... Take good rest... When is your ET??

hey best mom ... i just had my embryo transfer at Conceptia yesterday, so have entered the dreaded two week wait for the results of IVF number 2. sounds like you are doing okay with your stuff, lots of follicles (lots more than i ever have!). you won't know how many eggs you have until the day of the retrieval, though by day 8 you'll have a good sense of what you're dealing with.

Best of luck - and keep me posted!

Hey Sketches ! Congratulations on your transfer !! Did you transfer 2 ? Try and keep busy during your 2ww (Just not too busy...a good book maybe ?). Last time I ate loads of pineapple, it's just an old wives tale but it gave me something to do ! I did actually learn how to pick out a ripe one from eating so many ! Ha. (And a BFP so who knows....... B) ).

BestMom ...Seems to me that you are right on track with your protocol. There is not necessarily an egg in every follicle but you have a good count so here's hoping !!! Your E level seems good , they just want you to stim nice and slow for the best results so hence the lower dose. I had to do the same...Trust them, they know what they're doing, they retrieved 15 from me! :) I hope your BW was good today.

AFM I should be doing a Sunday ET. I'm feeling pretty positive, but I'm no spring chicken so I do have some stats to fight against, however we have 11 mature eggs to work with so we are roaring out of the gate at least !

Good luck ladies.

BestMom,
Eating Pineapple really is truly an old wives tale but I just ate it raw as a snack ! At least it kept me out of the cookie jar ! It helps that I love pineapple too ofcourse :) It was probably just some Dr.'s way of getting his patients to eat healthy and it took off !
How are you feeling ? I hope all is well with you ! Your transfer may be just 3 days after mine then, time sure stats to fly during this whole process. It's the 2WW that is stagnant.
Sketches...How are you doing since your ET ? Taking it easy I'll bet :) Feet up ! Good Luck,
BT

Hey all ... doesn't look good for me, I'm afraid. I'm having the same cramping and symptoms that always show up at this time. They are very distinct from the other symptoms I feel because of progesterone. I'm bummed but okay, though. We have frozen embryos this time, unlike last, and my DH and I are very committed to moving forward with adoption. I'm much better mentally then I was after my last IVF failure.

All the best to you girls, though. With me out of the game your odds are better!!

Ack ! Don't be so silly Sketches ! You are with us all the way. It's not over til it's over, I had cramping last time (didn't know what to make of it) and it was a bfp. Yes frozen blasts are great and adoption is also a great option...but hang in there !!

BestMom How are you making out ?

AFM...slight cramps....could be anything at this point ! I transferred 2 blasts so here's hoping !!

Take care ladies

Hello Babytime & Sketches,

How are you doing??? I'm going in for ET tomm...

Did the clinic recommended Assisted Hatching ?? Today my nurse called and asked for my consent??

I'm not sure whether it is required or not... We have decided to take upon the advice of the clinic, but still little nervous upon making a decision that might affect the embryo's....

Any idea and suggestions will be appreciated....

Hey BestMom ... if the clinic has suggested Assisted Hatching it is because they believe you need the help that AH provides, either because of your age, the quality of the eggs/embryos, or because you've had more than one IVF try. We weren't told about AH until the day of our transfer on IVF#1, when i was sitting on the table (which was really annoying and i made a fuss so they have changed the protocol about informing people earlier). I only had 3 embryos, and quality was poor. On this second IVF we agreed to do AH from the beginning.

The technique they use is a safe one and they have good luck, so it's definitely something to consider. Good luck!

Hi ladies,
BestMom I agree with Sketches regarding AH and I am happy to see that you went for it. It really is a safe procedure, especially when they have the proper technology - which Conceptia does. (The machine takes off approx 25% of the zona instead of some other clinics where they use an acid like solution). I have done quite a bit of research regarding AH and it really does help to bump up success rates. I'm just sorry I didn't see your post sooner to answer your question in a more timely fashion.
I too am finding this 2WW very long. I am having slight cramps but unsure what it all means. If I had to guess I would say I could very well be pregnant. I am trying not to convince myself of that totally just incase....This 2WW is L-O-N-G to say the least. Ug.
Sketches..I just saw your siggy..so you are onto the FET soon then ? Big Hug. BT
Take care ladies,
BT
