Hi everyone,
I had a fet on May 31. My first beta at 11dp5dt was 230, at 14dp5dt it went up to 900. Two days later I had bright red bleeding, cramping and passed a clot. It only lasted a few hours. The next day there was only a little big of bleeding, nothing to worry about. I got my beta done again and it was 1459 at 17dp5dt(I feel like it should have been more by the way things were going on previous betas) I then got my beta done again at 21dp5dt and it was 3549. So doubling time is slow. They booked me in for an ultrasound today at 6 weeks (23dp5dt) and there was a gestational sac and Im pretty sure there was a yolk as well but they couldnt see a baby or heartbeat. Has anyone been in this situation before? They have me booked in for another ultrasound next week (Ill be 7 weeks) please tell me there is still hope for this baby! This will be our 6th fet and have decided it will be our last try! Praying for a miracle.

Good morning Dory,

I hope that you are doing well. I have been in your shoes twice. The first time they did not see anything at 6 weeks so it is good that they were able to see the gestational sac and yolk sac. The second time for me ended with a blighted ovum. I think because they were able to see the sag that there could possible be hope. With this process, you just never know. Wait until your 7 week, you will have more of an idea. Please keep me posted.

A couple years ago there was a mom on this forum with a balanced translocation who transferred two mediocre quality untested embryos, had low betas and ended up with twins. You are right to guard your heart but you're not out as long as the betas are going up.

Fingers crossed. It may still be early to detect a heartbeat according to this article: https://www.verywell...rasound-2371357 Also, beta numbers don't indefinitely double and I think in your digits as long as they are doubling every 3 days you're still within norm. Honestly it is so easy to overanalyze especially with all the transfers you have had, but I think there is still hope with this one.
