Thanks I normally dont have an issue with it but we increased my supplements so hopefully that will help! I had a 11mm lining but it wasnt triple stripped and they didnt think that will change. How do you feel about your upcoming transfer ?

I have five more days if provera left but I feel like my period is right on the brink of coming I hate waiting lol

When I was waiting for AF, it was 6 days late, which I am so regular that I get it on the same day, at the same time. Huge mind f*.

I am not sure what triple stripped means, I am so new to all of this.

I don't know how to feel honestly. We have been TTC for about 4 years now, unexplained. Not even a hint of a second line, ever. I only have the one embryo frozen because we had complications when we retrieved. Ours is 3ab, our fresh 4ab didn't even implant. So I guess the long answer is I am feeling discouraged.

How are you feeling?

I am lucky because my first transfer worked and resulted in DD. I know thats a blessing but it doesnt make this easier (something I never imagined the first time ). I have had a long year of surgeries and failed transfers but I still have embryos. It doesnt get easier watching people have second and third kids either.

What Ive learned is you never know and theres always hope. It doesnt seem to ever make sense though. Ive learned that having a contingency plan just incase helps and I work with a fertility psychologist because I want to be more positive so for me thats something I am working on.

So Im discouraged but excited all at the same time, and a little nervous too lol

Yeah, contingency plans are important. We are already saving money for a potential IVF #2, that's as far as we could go financially and with my age. I would also need a surgery before I attempt another egg retrieval. I been to therapy with a few people but didn't seem to be the right fit. Its hard to find someone who really understands ans resources are limited here on the East Coast. One fertility clinic, long wait times, not much in the way of support that I have found at least.

Yeah I get that! Where are you out east ? Im in Ontario which helps with the wait times its still hard.

I needed surgery before transferring and waited 7 months for it. That was really hard!

Yeah therapy is hard to find the right fit.

I'm injecting buserilin every day, increasing estrogen every 5 days, then on the 7th ill check my lining. If it's at .8 then I start progesterone and transfer after 5 days. What's your protocol?

I'm also doing acupuncture, heard that helps.

I start 12mg of estrace a day (4mg 3 times a day) on day 3 of my period. Then of course progesterone. Im also taking 6000 of l-Argime a day and a few other supplements too. I do a lining check on about day 13 and if its over 0.7 and triple stripped Ill start progesterone.

Right now provera is absolutely brutal for me. The cramps are bad and it affects my ability to sleep properly so Im getting up tired. I pretty much cant wait for my period

Oh not sleeping is the worst. Especially if you have to get up and face the day. My silver lining is that I actually took a year leave from work, before I even scheduled IVF, no kids at home so I have been able to lay low. Planning a beach day today, its really hot ans sunny.

I have been getting ALL the symptoms, I'm really sensitive to meds. Right now I'm nursing the worst headache.

I am a teacher as well! I have a prescription for migraine headaches, I have had migraines all my life. They told me while I'm on meds its ok but after my transfer I can't take them. Other than that yes just Tylenol. I find drinking a LOT of water helps ans always have ice packs on hand, it feels nice when my head is pounding. I am like the headache queen.

My problem is my degree is American and then I went to grad sxho so I am working on getting qualified by the Ontario board but there is little to no chance that will happen by fall. Regardless theres a big need for sub right now so at least thats something.

Sorry about your headaches the water things a good idea. Im absolutely dying to get my period the cramps are so crazy. For some people provera doesnt affect them that much but for me it seems too!

Hows the beach ? What grade do you teach ?

Oh yeah the red tape is annoying. I know it's hard to get qualifications changed over in NS, I think it's one of the few provinces that requires you to take a 2 year program. I have a friend who did her degree in Ontario, then had to take courses when she came home to be able to teach. I hope its more straightforward for you. Substituting isnt always a bad thing. You get to learn about admin, and schools you like or dislike. There is also something to be said for walking out at the end of the day without the prep! I teach Primary (kindergarten), and depending on the numbers sometimes Primary and grade 1. It was nice to have a break from the littles while TTC, it got to be too much to be surrounded by small kids everyday. Not even mentioning all the pregnant teachers in my school! Dreaded those staff room baby showers.

Periods are always there when you don't want them, and missing when you need them!

Do I ever get that! I cant imagine. I have a hard time because all the other young moms I know are popping out second and third kids and I am struggling. They are nice but it doesnt make it easier .

The one thing Ill say..:.and I have to keep reminding myself of this over and over again ...is once you get pregnant it all goes away you wont care what you had to go through.

For my first; I had to have both my tubes removed and then polyps removed. Obviously I had to do ivf etc. This was after two years of ttc. I know it could have been/is worse for a lot of people but once I got pregnant it didnt matter anymore. I know it wont with baby #2 either.

Yeah I can imagine that it is all worth it when you have a baby in your arms and then it doesn't matter. Right now I'm just struggling with the thoughts of it not happening at all. It sometimes feels like the hope of having a baby (given up on two) is further and further away. Harder when there is no official "reason". I'm working on being more positive.

Hope AF is near for you!

Yeah it is harder when theres no reason for sure! Im working on positivity too. It helps to remember theres always a good chance of success but discouraging when thats not you dor sure
.

Af should be close Im super crampy I still have three days of provera but my clinic said I could stop early to get it since Im having the side effects of it coming so it should only be a day or two

Hello,

We started our journey to start a family 4 years ago and have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Despite 3 rounds of Clomifene, 3 rounds of medicated IUI, IVF with 5 embryos, 2 of which were transferred fresh 5 days post collection (none were genetically tested), I have yet to have a positive pregnancy test (urine or beta hcg).

We had our first FET on July 2, and I took a urine pregnancy test first thing yesterday morning (5dp5dt) and again this morning (5dp6dt) and both were negative. Has anyone had a negative urine test (I just can't wait for the blood test) 6 days post FET and still been pregnant?

Thanks,

Meg

vetmommy - my urine test was negative at day 5 and clearly positive day 7 with my dd. Try to give it a few more days. Stark white tests aren't nice

Eekk, my transfer is tomorrow. My hubby has a thing about needles and as much as we tired I'm just doing the PIO on my own. So tricky!

Wish me luck gals l, haven't had a positive result yet, but I guess it only takes once.
