Hi Melissa87 - Im so sorry about your chemical. Its so devastating - especially when dealing with infertility. How are you doing?

Im about to start my fifth round of IVF (stims starting early April) and will be doing a fresh transfer (all my FET failed, so trying something new). Imagine my transfer will be the third week of April.

BabyforQ- i remember you for when my transfers were cancelled last summer. Im really glad you are trying again!

Im okay. Im sad of course. In recently had my c section scar shaved down and my uterus looked good. I transferred two embryos and I really thought that one would stick and at least grow a little. Kinda a harsh reality check that it wasnt the case. With your failed FETs did they change anything or have any idea why none stuck ? When did you get your period after stopping progesterone?

For me its hard not to wonder if theres something wrong even though I know sometimes it just doesnt work

There will little changes each time, my second IVF cycle I primed first and got 2 good quality normal embryos. After my second FET, I did an ERA which showed I was post receptive (didn't change anything). My third IVF cycle I was over suppressed so got one mosaic embryo. I did intralipids and prednisone and this one stuck, but I ended up MC at 8 weeks. My fourth IVF was at a new clinic - I got 2 good quality normal embryos. the first FET was medicated, with intralipid and prednisone and my estrogen and progesterone levels were off the charts. The following month I did an ERA and did an minimally medicated FET with prednisone - still didn't work (but for this one I was majorly anxious and crying all the time for fear of it failing). They say anatomically everything looks hunky dory - they think its my embryos. Hoping that by not freezing and testing that I will have better success - its iterative really - what haven't we tried!?!

I feel like I got my period around 5 days after stopping the progesterone. Has yours come yet?

How are you feeling about everything? Make sure you do some extra self care - this journey is soooooo hard.

BabyforQ- i dont have mine yet! Im super anxious about it because Im eager to get going. I feel okay just really crampy but this is only day 3 post progesterone.

I decided next time to only put in one embryo. My embryos look good but they arent tested. At the time it didnt seem worth testing them. I did get my DD from them though so Im hopeful.

Waiting for AF is so hard, especially when you are just ready to move on! Hopefully it will come soon. I recall one time it took 7 or 8 days. Hope it shows soon.

I will be doing a fresh transfer too. All mine were previously tested. Here's hoping this is our cycle!!

Yeah. So my next appointment is April 5 with a transfer about a week latter.

My doctor wants to do a Matris before my transfer because of my surgery. She thinks its fine and the reason for my failure was embryo quality but this way I dont have to wonder. Im also doing a funded transfer this time which is nice!

That's great! I won't be far behind. My guess is my retrieval will be April 14 putting my transfer April 19. Tomorrow is my last day of priming meds, then I have a week off before I start stim meds. I go in for my baseline on March 31 with a plan to start stims April 2. I have a great conversation with my Dr today and we will be doing PICSI, which is a step beyond ICSI and helps address any defragmentation issues with the sperm. We also will likely do intralipid infusions (which I've done in the past - got pregnant one of the times, although I did miscarry).

What is Matris for? I haven't heard of it. How long do you have to wait for your beta after transfer?I think I wait 10 days - but still TBC.

Thats awesome! We are really close to transferring at the same time! Im glad they are taking the extra steps for you!

I have a c section defect that was repaired in January. They didnt actually sew up the defect they just shaved it down because its in a weird location , and hard to do laporscopically. Before the surgery I had fluid in my uterus and now I dont. My RE said that others who have had the surgery have gotten pregnant quickly but we want to make sure that theres no issues with what we did.

So the Matris is a bunch of ultrasound pictures from like every possible angle. They are then evaluated and if they find some reason your transfer wont work they cancel it. Id rather that then waste an embryo so Im glad to do this.

Whats intalipid infusions?

Wow! That's so great they are so thorough!! You battled for those embryos and you want to give them the best chance.

The intralipid infusion is basically fats. Its meant to help your body prepare and reduce rejection. Given the number of FET failures it makes sense. They aren't really sure WHY none of my transfers are working, so we are trying everything (hence fresh transfer - frozen has never worked!) Its not inexpensive though - and you have to be hooked up to an IV for about 2.5 hours. I will have that before the transfer and again after. If the embryo sticks, I will continue to have them every few weeks I think.

WoW! I hope that works! So the decision to do it was based on the nimber of failures?

Yeah I feel better that they are doing this! I really want to know that has nothing to do with it as I dont know ant to waste embryos!

Yes - my 3rd IVF only yielded one mosaic embryo (my 4th transfer), so my Doctor said let's try everything! Out of all my transfers (the rest were all PGS normal) the mosaic was the only the implanted. I did intralipids with my 5th transfer right after and it didn't work - so who knows.

How are you feeling? Feeling relaxed/calm?

I had my last dose of meds Friday and am on break. No period yet...I go in Wednesday for my baseline - hopefully I will still be able to start Friday regardless of whether I have bled or not. They say in the paperwork that you may or may not ... which I feel is odd. Starting to feel a bit anxious!!

Good luck melissa87. I'm on my 5dpt, but no symptoms except my breasts are little firm.

HI Melissa87 - how was your lining check?? Things coming along? When do you go for the Matris scan?

I am on day 6 of stims. I have 5 follicles growing so far (which I'm happy with!) and my lining is at 4 mm. I still have a ways to go with my lining. I am back on Friday to see my progress. I expect to trigger Sunday or Monday, putting my retrieval Tuesday or Wednesday and my transfer next Sunday or Monday - so exciting.

Wow!! Amazing Lining!! I am nervous about my lining - its often a slow process to get to .8, but I am doing all I can to help my body get there. Back at the clinic tomorrow to check out my progress.

Good luck with the Matris on Saturday!

I have everything crossed that this is our cycle.
