Hi Ladies,

Has anyone done a Natural IVF recently?  Our last cycle failed with the clinics DOR antagonist protocol (had 6 follicles but no eggs retrieved).  We are speaking with a Dr at a new clinic and she has suggested trying Natural IVF due to my low AMH.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Natural IVF sounds like an oxymoron...not quite sure what it is. Do you mean a low stim protocol?

It does and yes that's what it sounds like.  Found this on a site - natural cycle IVF is what we call the process of using minimal injectable medications (gonadotropins) to assist the natural recruitment and harvesting of 1-2 follicles / eggs. It differs from traditional IVF in the quantity of stimulating medication prescribed as well as the number of eggs harvested.

I would say that it is more often called a low stim protocol on these forums. Maybe do a search on that? I'm sorry I don't have any experience myself.
