Has anyone experienced a last minute cancellation form donor? We have donor through little miracle, amd today she cancelled on the day she was due to start her med protocol. Were being told we have to rights and basically have to wait another 2 months until the donor says she will donate. I dont have time on my side as I am nearly 40. So we start over or trust that she will move forward with donation in 2 months? We have spend 2 months arranging logistics as we live in another province:(

I had such situation with surrogates many times.  I've been trying for years.  This is a bad sign.   I never had a positive outcome from such situation.  Sometimes this gets dragged on for months while she slowly fades away making excuses.  In my opinion, it would be a safer option to look for somebody else.

Not to put more worry on your mind, but this is the reason my clinic stopped using LM. I was lucky that my donor through them worked out but it was not the best situation. I also have a friend who had a cycle cancelled due to donor issues through LM. Honestly, you have rights and that is take your money back and look at other donor agencies or you can try frozen banks. Either way, whatever you decide, proceed with caution with LM. Best of luck to you.
