Hello!

Who else is transferring in November or December?

I had my baseline bloodwork today and will be starting estrace tonight for a medicated FET cycle. I estimate my transfer will be roughly around Nov. 11, give or take.

Look forward to cycling with you!

I will be doing a FET sometime late November or maybe early Dec depending on when I start my cycle. I had an IVF done in Sept however my RE advised I took all my fibroids before transfer as that could cause failed implantation or miscarriage so I did an open Myomectomy a day after egg retrieval.

Hey ladies! Just popping in to say HELLO! I see some familiar names so I want to wish you all well this cycle.

We transferred our last embryo in June which ended as an early loss so we are about to do our second round of IVF - retrieval is scheduled for November 19th! Aiming for a fresh transfer on November 24!

I'll try to pop in occasionally to see how everyone is doing :)

Hello everyone!

Misskika - thank you! :) Hope all is going well with you!

Carter - transfer twinsies would be fun! When is your lining check?

MissHelen, hope your mock cycle/ ERA gives you some good answers for your FET!

Hope20, I'm sorry to hear about your failed FET. Fingers crossed the FET in December works!

Totty1987 - I'm sorry to hear about your failed fresh transfer. Here's hoping the frozen transfer sticks!

McBealz - hope you're recovering well from your surgery. When do you think day 1 might arrive?

Returnable - so happy you have the go-ahead even with your weird short cycle. When will you go for your lining check?

Elspeth, so nice to hear from you! I'm sorry about your loss. I hope you have a great response to the stims!

As for me, just taking my estrace and waiting for my lining check on Monday. Alternatively anxious and calm, and really quite distracted by the possibility of this working. :)

Thanks I feel much better it’s been 6 weeks post surgery. I can’t say for sure when cycle day1 will be due to short cycle since my surgery. But the latest AF should be around Nov 14-15. Wishing everyone the very best. I can’t wait to hear our good news

Hi everyone. Weird to be back in a cycle group. After a traumatic labour with our first 4 years ago we finally decided to go ahead and try for a sibling. Cycle day 1 for me today. Start estrace tomorrow and lining check on the 9th. So excited to be sharing this with all of you.

Daisy and Carter – how are you guys doing? I assume both of you have started your cycles since your tentative transfer dates are less than two weeks away? Carter I assume you have arrived in the province? Thanks for starting the list Daisy.

MissHelen – are you in the midst of prepping for your ERA? Have you had a biopsy before? I’m with you on the positive plot twist for 2020! biggrin.png

Hope and Totty – welcome. I’m sorry your last transfers didn’t work.

Mcbealz – was your September IVF your first? How have you healed from your myomectomy?

Elspeth – hope to see you here, and I hope your IVF goes well.

Morgy – it can take a long time to heal. Did your baby arrive early and unexpected? I hope your dear one is doing well.

AFM – for those that don’t know me this is our last embryo and whatever the result is, it will be the last transfer for us and we will complete this journey one way or another. We have an almost 21-month old from our first transfer (which took years to get to) who decided to come 3 months early but is doing really well and basically caught up to all of the milestones. With my weird periods, and a BFN in June I’m not feeling super positive on this one, but it’s not over until the fat lady sings…. My first lining check is November 9th. For the last two transfers that I have done (one BFP one BFN) I transferred on day #32 after starting estrace so that would put me to November 30th. We shall see.

Returnable - Doing pretty good so far. I won't need to travel until the day before my transfer and then I fly home the day after the transfer. I take a super long time to get my lining where it needs to be too...first lining check is never done until I'm on estrogen for 18 days. So I will get a lining check on Nov 6th and if all is well I will fly out on the 10th and home on the 12th. I really hope this last one is a huge success for you!!

Returnable - No Sept IVF was my second IVF. I had a mini IVF in Jan 2019 and have done IUI previously too I have had BFN in all my previous treatments. When i had my Mini IVF in Jan, I had 2 good quality embryos Day 3 and transferred them nothing to freeze resulting in my BFN. Well my RE told me I was good to go for transfer anywhere my second cycle post Myomectomy. I have had two cycle already so I intend to transfer on my third cycle. Personally I think I have healed since I have past the 6 weeks mark and am able to go back to my daily routine without pain. The first 2 weeks was hell recovering from the surgery but am glad am back to myself however I still haven't recovered from loss of sensation in my lower abdomen due to the pfannenstiel incision made. I read that was a normal complication from abdominal surgery.

Hi ladies. I'm back. First off, I wish all of you best of luck in the last two months of the year. Hopefully everyone in the world can return back to normal lives after this pandemic.

Wife and I switched to a new clinic this month (October) and we feel positive again after multiple IVF/FET failures from the previous clinic (I will change my signature to include the history.) Wife is scheduled for retrieval on Sunday, November 1st. She has like around 10 eggs, but only four of them are well mature as of this writing: 18, 20, 21, and 25. We're not going to waste these eggs! The others probably won't make it to the minimum 16 threshold. Over the past few weeks, wife has been taking clomed and injecting follistim.

We're looking to do another retrieval but will speak with the doctor in person this weekend and listen to his plan. There is a chance that I need to provide my sperm this weekend for fertilization. Our doctor is fine that we do PICSI + ICSI + Assisted Hatching + PGS. However, we won't be doing any transfer until February 2021 likely because 1) we need another month for the second retrieval and (2) one more month for a mock cycle for ERA + endo biopsy.  I did my semen analysis (again) and DNA fragmentation test.

I feel that there are hopes again. On a relative basis, I notice there are a number of pluses in this new small clinic (privately owned).

  • The doctor does all ultrasound and a number of things by himself.
  • Nurses are quite responsive.
  • Clinic has a web portal that provides daily instructions for medications. All of the results from bloodwork, egg size, etc. are all there. The clinic will update the web portal as needed so that patients will get new instructions on a timely manner.
  • Low volume clinic, they see around 15 patients per day. Wait time is usually 15 mins but not beyond 30 mins (thus far). For what is worth, our previous clinic is a factory. Wait time is 1 to 2 hours.
  • He showed us some medical equipment that he uses. Many of which are latest in the market (well I take his words for it.)  I learned that there are multiple transfer tubes out there in the market.
  • I also learned that during transfer, he doesn't use ultrasound to put the uterus and transfer tube on screen. He actually inserts a thin + tiny tube that serves as visualizing scope to aid the transfer. Well, I really don't know if this is good or not good. Dr said it's more precise.

For the last two bullets, I was actually in the procedure room when my wife got her transfer done in our previous clinic so I saw the equipment and techniques in person to draw the comparison.

Returnable- no baby was on time and healthy. I Had the issues. Severe post partum hemorrhage requiring an embolization procedure to save my life. Almost needed a hysterectomy. Spent a week in hospital and got 5 u its if blood. We were really afraid that the embolization damaged the blood flow to my uterus but all looked ok on the hyteroscopy so hopefully all is well.
