Hi there,

Anybody doing a September FET? If all goes well, I should be getting my first FET around September 7th.

Hey Seeds!

I've been in the August FET group but looks like I will also transfer the same week as you depending on when my period decides to grace me with her presence (SHOULD BE TODAY DARN IT!)

What protocol are you on for your transfer??

Lol - fingers crossed she shows up today! I'm finding these days are crawling by...

I'm doing a natural cycle FET, so I will just be taking progesterone injections starting after I ovulate. I haven't done an ERA and this is my only euploid embryo and it's not the best quality. So I do have some odds stacked against me, but trying to remain positive!

What protocol are you on?

Ladies, I'm also planning on a September transfer towards the end of the month. Tentatively it will be around the 25th-28th. I'm also doing a natural cycle. I recently had a failed IUI but had two frozen embies from a previous IVF cycle. Planning on transferring both a 3AA and 3BB.  The days seem to crawl :(

TTC for two years. DH had vasectomy reversal after close to 15 years. Sperm had antibodies especially on tail making it difficult for them to reach egg. RE suggested ART.

2/2020: First consultation with RE. Decision made to do IVF  (Age=37)

3/2020: U/S to check state of uterus revealed presence of fibroids, one in particular protruding toward the uterine cavity. Made decision to undergo surgery to remove fibroids

3/2020: Surgery to remove fibroids

3-4/2020: Recovery from surgery and COVID hit leading to cancellation of all non-essential procedures

5/2020: Started IVF #1.

6/2020: Retrieved 11 eggs; 9 fertilized; 4 made it to blast (2 day 5s and 2 day 6s). Protocol involved BCP before starting stims

6/2020: Fresh transfer of two blasts (3AA and 3BB); positive HPT at 5dp5dt; beta hcg at 9dp5dt=71 th_abfp.gif ; second beta at 14dp5dt=1 th_abfn.gif (Chemical)cry.gif

Plan to transfer the other two blasts in 8/2020

8/2020: FET cancelled IVF lab had ventilation problems leading to shut down

8/2020: IUI=th_abfn.gif

10/2020: FET #1 unmedicated; transfered 2 day 6 blasts=th_abfn.gif

11/2020 IVF #2: Retrieved 7 eggs; all fertilized but only 4 made it to 5 day blasts. Protocol didn't have BCP before stimming

12/2020: Fresh transfer of the two blasts; positive HPT starting at 5dp5dt; 1st beta at 13dp5d=1549 th_abfp.gif ; 2nd beta at 20dp5dt=21,000; beta at 26dp5dt=51,000. Excited thinking its twins sad.png

Hey I'll be joining as well!  I should be getting my period around August 29, so transfer towards mid to end of September.  This is our last chance of having one more baby.  We have a final day 6 embryo.  I think it's rated at 3BB.  I'm not sure what to expect and have been trying to prepare myself for being done.  It's been about a year of trying to transfer, we did one in February that obviously didn't work.  I would love to have one more baby, but will be ok if this will be the end of road too.  We have two beautiful boys, and I will be content if one more isn't in the cards, but I do get annoyed that it's out of my control.  Anyways!  Looking forward to cycling with you ladies!

Hi smileydaises and cj123 smile.png - glad to have you join!

I'm wondering, did any of you girls get your embryos tested for aneuploidy? I did two IVF stim cycles and now have 4 mosaics (all BB quality) and 1 euploid (BC) frozen. I am kind of wishing I didn't get the testing done because it's so unclear with what to do with the mosaics...

Cj123, mine are also day sixes. I read somewhere that they may not be the best embryos that day fives are better? Have you heard or read anything about this?  but my embryologist told me that they have had many successes. So I don't know… Hoping for the best.

Seeds, mine are not tested. Our clinic doesn't do testing. It's all morphological grading. Which ones are you transferring? Are you transferring one or more?

Hey Seeds- I'm on a supplemented natural FET with 5 days of Letrozole and an Ovidrel trigger shot. Progesterone Day 2 after I ovulate! I had an ERA last month and awaiting results. We only have one embryo from my last cycle but it's a 5-day, 3AA and CGS tested euploid so hope this is the golden embryo. We've been trying for a while and haven't ever gotten one of this quality. In previous cycles I have seen women put in multiple mosaics in one transfer and I do believe there are women on this forum who have become pregnant with mosaic embryos!

Welcome smiles and Cj! Cj, I have read that day 5's have a slightly better chance but not much. So many factors involved in this process!

Hey Smiley Daisies, Misskika - the studies I have read have said that day 5's and 6's have similar success rates and that they are better than day 7's.  So I'm not sure.  And our Dr has been hopeful with our day 6's.  I guess they wouldn't freeze them if they didn't give us a chance?

Smileydaises - I'm just transferring the 3BC euploid this cycle. I think my clinic rarely transfers more than one embryo as almost everyone gets PGT-A testing. I'm going to ask about the possibility of transferring two mosaics at the same time, though it makes me a bit nervous. I've never had a positive pregnancy test. That's exciting that you're transferring two embryos and you have one that's AA! Sounds like a good shot. I've also read/ was told by RE that day 5s have slightly better pregnancy rates than day 6s.

Misskika007 - That's very nice embryo and that's great you did the ERA, I'm really hoping that everything has aligned for you smile.png

cj123 - That's great that your embryo has come from a batch that has been successful in the past smile.png. I love the adoption/ embryo donor family route that you've taken too <3

Seeds - Haha thanks.  People tell us all the time how much they love our family story.  Which I get, because it is different than the usual and it's unique for sure, but definitely not the easiest road to take.  Now that I am on the other side and have a couple beautiful boys, I can appreciate how cool it is.  But it was a hard road to walk for sure, and a lot of days I wish I could just do it the normal way.  Haha, I bet we all have felt that way!

I've been driving myself crazy trying to look at stats and studies of way too many embryo related things... when it just comes down to there is no way to predict the future.  Just have to wait and see what's going to happen.

Cj- I totally get the obsession over stats! I go in and out of reading them. My last retrieval cycle I banned myself from looking on google or medical journals and it was so good for mental health lol. Hope the same will happen with this transfer cycle!

I got my period today! Woohoo! Waiting for the clinic to tell me when to come in but if I follow the same protocol as my ERA cycle, I should prob transfer around Sept 14!

Hi All! I'm new to this board, but not new to the reproductive care. Will update my signature shortly to include my journey.

I'm Canadian, but living in the US now. Through my fertility treatment so far I've used a different forum, but with COVID and all, it's super slow and I feel like I need to find a chattier board biggrin.png

I don't have natural cycles (don't produce FSH), so no dependency on AF to start a cycle. My initial checkup was last week and I've been on Estrogen pills for 6 days now. Lining check on Sept 5, and if all looks good I can start daily progesterone and transfer would be Sept 11 (which is also my husband's birthday!).

Best of luck to everyone! It's heart-breaking to read about the unsuccessful summer transfers, and I hope this Sept will be the stickiest ever!

Me: 37 DH: 45
I don't produce FSH, so no natural menstrual cycle. DH has reduced morphology.

Welcome aboard FuzzyDust :). You're in great shape with your four euploids! Our transfers will likely be within a few days of each other :)

Smileydasises - I haven't been given a transfer date yet. Right now I'm going in for blood monitoring to see when I ovulate.. then I'll get a lining check and if that's good, then 5/6 days later do the transfer? Being my first FET ever I feel like I'm flying a bit by the seat of my pants. Also going to have to figure out how to do the PIO butt injections, lol.

Misskika and CJ- Congrats on the day one and getting the ball rolling! I also have spent soo much time looking at embryo stats. Especially with the mosacis! I spent basically a whole year learning about embryos, how to increase quality, etc... Now I'm at the point where I'm so tired of thinking about it and am just moving forward with transfers to see what happens.

Seeds - hope all looks well at your appointment and you're cleared for the transfer! My lining check is this Sat, and if all looks good, then 5 days of progesterone and then transfer.

Hoping you'll get a sticky embie on your first transfer!!! I can't do PIO on myself, so I do all the mixing and prep, and DH does the shot. I'm sure you'll figure it out, and once you're used to it - it's much easier. This time around we're using Crinone suppositories though, so I can do that myself.

Looks like quite a few people are doing natural cycle, I heard it's less stress, less medications, and in general a bit more relaxed.

Looking at the summer FETs boards - we need success stories here!

Welcome, Fuzzy! Yes- lots of natural cycles. I think I was overmedicated on my previous (failed) transfers, in particular, too much estrogen that I don't need! Wishing you lots of good vibes on your cycle!

Cj- did you period come?!? Hope so!

Smiley- nice end of September transfer! Hope you are hanging in there with the wait!

Seeds- Ha ha. Yes. No more google for us this cycle! Take each day as they come now!

So I'm now on the letrozole! Woohoo! Head back to clinic for lining check on Friday. The Dr called to warn me that they may not have my ERA results by the time I am supposed to transfer since they have been running late, so to just be prepared that we may need to delay the transfer to next cycle. Hope this isn't the case but what is a month when you have been waiting four years!!!

Misskika - fingers crossed you get those ERA results back soon! The IVF process is such a dramatic one.. It's an incredible teacher of patience and accepting one's lack of control.

Fuzzy - I tried to do a medicated ERA cycle but the all the estrogen flared up my endometriosis so I had to tap out. So far this natural cycle has been great - I haven't taken one med!

I got my lining check today and I'm 1.2 mm and am ovulating so am ready for transfer on September 5th. I start my PIO on transfer day. My clinic didn't say anything in my instructions about taking any meds prior to transfer (like ativan or advil) to relax uterus (I have one that loves to cramp, too). Do any of you girls take meds before transfer?

I think the only meds I ever took against cramping was Ibuprofen for the sonogram, but since it's not recommended with pregnancy, it can't be taken for FET. From person experience (and also very crampy uterus), transfer is pretty non-eventful in terms of discomfort. it's like a very long PAP test level of discomfort.

Hey everyone!  I've been reading but not really updating...lol.  I got my period on Friday as expected.  I have my lining check ultrasound on Tuesday next week!  I am on a very small amount of estrogen this round as my lining was quite thick last time.  So I'm on 2mg estrace orally twice a day.  Plus my ASA, then I'll be doing both PIO and suppositories when the time comes!

Seeds - I have never taken anything before transfer.  It is honestly not bad at all.  I cramped a bit afterwards but not like painful ones.  The worst part in my opinion is having a partially full bladder and them pushing on it with the external ultrasound.  My first transfer my bladder was so full I was just trying not to whiz on my doctor.

Seeds- I've never taken any meds before transfer and I also have endo. I found that a sono is wayyy worse. Like CJ said, the worst part is having a full bladder for the whole thing. I have never been "excited" during a transfer for this very reason, just want it over with so I can pee! I have done acupuncture before and after transfer to calm me down and increase blood flow to uterus. There is also some evidence that acupuncture helps implantation! 1.2 cm (I'm assuming cm!) is a great lining, now the excitement kicks in!

Cj- congrats on getting the party started!!!

Well... I shouldn't be surprised as we have been dealing with delays since last summer, but I got a call from my clinic yesterday.  We may have to delay our transfer.  Apparently our clinic is almost out of the media they use for transfers and it's on back order.  So they gave me the option to cancel now, or keep going knowing it might get cancelled anyways.  So we are proceeding but fully expect to be cancelled in about two weeks.  Sigh.  This is the never ending journey.  So we will see what happens I guess.

seeds- congrats on the progress on lining & ovulation. You are on your way to transfer yay! I'm also doing a natural cycle so no meds for me. They will measure my natural progesterone around the time of ovulation and if it's low they may put me on PIO. From past experience, my numbers have been on the lower end but not below normal so, I doubt I will have PIO. The lack of meds is good but it seems like nothing is happening.

misskika- glad you have started your meds in preparation, you are on your way lady! I hope you don't have to postpone the cycle. Fingers crossed for you.

cj123- sorry to hear you may have to cancel but good call to wait and be cancelled than cancel on your own. We are always waiting. It never seems to end. My transfer is happening late this month because the IVF lab had a ventilation problem so had to postpone from July to late this month. It just doesn't end.

fuzzydust- all the best on your lining check, you are getting close to your transfer yay! And yes, we need some BFPs this fall.

Sometimes I wonder how there are 7 billion people in the world given all the terrible odds out there for pregnancy to occur. All the things that could go wrong.

CJ- so so sorry to hear you may have to delay. How frustrating. Here is to hoping that this is not the case for you.

Smiley- hahaha. I always wonder how there are so many people when I cant have one. Thanks for the laugh :)

Got a call from my Dr this morning that my biopsy results came back and they indicate normal transfer date (6 dpo) so I am good to go this cycle. Lining check on Friday and then we will see when I decide to ovulate! Big hugs to all.
