Hi Irene! Just wondering how long did pcrm make you wait for the second scan in Winnipeg? Im encountering a similar situation! My lining check today was approx 7.5m but no triple layer. They want to wait another week before rescanning. Im also with VfC:pcrm

Hi everyone,

My transfer date is Feb 27, but can I sneak into this discussion anyway? I'm a patient at Victoria, but I've been dealing with PCRM somewhat this time too, since they're under the same ownership now.

We did one round of IVF in Winnipeg that went badly. They retrieved one egg, and I got pregnant and lost it at 7 weeks. My second round was in Victoria. It was a freeze-all cycle. My first FET there was a success. I have an 18-month old son born in August 2018 and two frozen embryos. We're transferring one of those this time (a grade 2 early bast).

Starting this process again has been hard, but also exciting. I'm trying so hard not to get too hopeful because we already have one child now. We'd love so much for him to have a little brother or sister.

I'm also doing PIO this time for the first time. Last time I did endometrium vaginally (3x/day) and prometrium (1x/day) orally. This time I'm still doing the endometrium but also doing PIO every third day. They sent me a recent study showing that the rates of miscarriage are much lower with some PIO, whether it's every day by itself or just every third day along with endometrium. At first I asked if I could skip it and they agreed, but then I changed my mind when I saw the study. My first shot was yesterday. I was pretty nervous about it but it didn't hurt at all going in! The muscle definitely feels sore now, but it's not at all as scary as I was anticipating.

Another change was that this time they didn't add aspirin to my protocol. I said I'd had it last time and I wanted it again, so they added it in. I haven't taken it quite every day though because I started getting nose bleeds. They also didn't plan to do assisted hatching this time, but I asked for that as well, since we had it with out son.

I had a bit of a worry that my cycle would get cancelled because at my lining check, my lining was 8mm, but they couldn't see if it was trilaminar. The clinic wanted to go ahead anyway because they said non-specialists sometimes have a hard time seeing if it's trilaminar. I did an extra scan at the clinic in Winnipeg to make sure, and it all looked good, and was 9.1mm by that time, so we're going ahead.[/quote]

IVF #1 - Estrogen priming antagonist protocol. Poor responder. 6 eggs retrieved, 2 mature. 2 fertilized with ICSI. Transferred on Day 2 (one 4 cell and another 2 cell) - BFN

Hi Wishingandhoping8888. VFC didn't actually even want to do another scan. They said it was probably fine but sometimes non-specialists just can't find the triple stripe. I was too worried to go ahead without confirmation though, so I booked the ultrasound at Heartland myself two days later. I was happy they had an opening! They found the triple stripe and so I was happy. I didn't have the results forwarded to VFC because the scan was more for me anyway, but I did tell them the results.

IVF#1 (April 2017): retrieved one egg, fresh 3-day transfer, missed miscarriage around 7 weeks, D&C

IVF#2 (Sept 2017): retrieved 23 eggs, 22 mature, 18 fertilized, 3 frozen on day 5, no transfer

FET#1 (Nov 2017): one grade 3 blast (upgraded to grade 2 at transfer), first β-HCG of 751 at 12dp5dt, delivered my son at 39w6d by unplanned c-section

FET#2 (Feb 2020): one grade 2 early blast, first β-HCG of 480 at 11dp5dt. 7w3d ultrasound showed embryo measuring 7w2d with a heart rate of 153. Heart rate at 12w5d: 148, at 16w4d: 147

Wishingandhoping, i have noticed a difference in my lining thickness between the scan on day 14 and the scan on the day of the transfer. It usually contracts slightly. On the cycle i got pregnant with my daughter it went from 8.4mm on day 14 to 7.8 mm on transfer day. This is normal according to my dr but she also said if you have lining issues (like I do), it is better to keep the cycle as short as possible otherwise the lining might start to degrade...

AFM, i have started my Gonal F injections and have another scan on Sat to see if the lining is growing the way it should. Its supposed to be low dose stims, but I have been given 200 UI to take daily (my dr wants to maximise my lining!) which is actually quite a lot... I already feel bloated!

WIth my pregnancy, I had bleeding around 6 weeks and found that I had a subchorionic hematoma (apparently common in IVF). It healed up and I had a healthy pregnancy.

I had my blood test today at 11dp5dt and got 480. I also had some bleeding just now, so that always freaks me out. I had a fair bit with my son too. Hoping it was just caused by a BM. I guess I'm now 4w2d if I want to switch to measuring it in weeks.

The day of my Ovidrel injection it was 7.8mm - they did not measure it on the day of the transfer.

Hello! For those who went onto transfer what was your lining thickness at time of the scan? Vs the lining thickness at the time of the transfer?

I'm 4dpt - have tested out trigger, but no sign of positive yet (although I recognize it is super early). Has anybody tested early in the past? When did you get your BFPs? I'm at peace with whatever the outcome, I just hate not knowing.

Thanks, cjfmrc. I had SCHs with both previous pregnancies. Still hate them so much.

I just got my second beta and its 1370 at 13dp5dt (up from 480, so it was close to triple). Very happy!

My last FET was successful but unfortunately ended in miscarriage (not sure why, :( i think likely because i missed a dose of progesterone )

But i got a faint positive test 5 days after a 5 day transfer, using a FRER. But it was very faint and then got stronger each day i tested. Some ladies i've talked to though didn't get positive at home tests until after beta. so 9 or 10 days later still no positive at home test but were still pregnant! The 2ww is so hard. I never make it without testing

I've never tested that early. This time I caved and tested at 5.5dp5dt and got the very faintest of lines on a FRER. I doubt it would have been positive much earlier. My blood tests were 11dp5dt (480) and 13dp5dt (1370).

Hey ladies!

Congrats on the bfps!
I think I finally got mine at 9dp5dt so I'm hopeful. I thought I had a vvvfl monday, and now have a faint line. Beta is sunday and will know more then. I'm out of frers in meantime and hubby doesn't know I've been testing. He doesn't like it so I can't buy more.
Very nauseated, and had really bad morning sickness with me DS, so taking that as good sign.

Lining was at 9 at check, but wasn't checked at transfer. My clinic (ottawa) never does.

Hi all,

I'm 8dp5dt and I tested this morning with a FRER. BFN over here :(

Blood test is tomorrow morning, then I'll look to see if I can cycle again right away for an April transfer

So I took my progesterone 15 minutes early last night in fear that the spotting I was seeing was my period starting. Typically when I start my period I spot at night, have some cramping during the night, and start my period full force in the morning. I woke up this morning and no more signs of spotting, so not sure if that's because of the progesterone or because it wasn't period spotting after all. I suppose time will tell.

It could be implantation bleeding. I had similar on day 5 after transfer
