Hi ladies. Just started our FET cycle today. We are doing a natural transfer so I'm not sure exactly when our transfer will be, but likely sometime during the week of March 9. This will be our 2nd FET. Our first failed in October. We also have had 2 fresh transfers - one that ended in a chemical and a miscarriage at 6 weeks.

Irene - we are also from Winnipeg but travel to VFC. Good luck on Thursday!

Scarlett - we are doing a natural transfer at VFC this month. I asked Dr. Hudson about it in December after our medicated FET failed. He was in favour of the change but admitted that since he had handed control over to PCRM, he had to get approval. I hadn't heard anything about it getting approved but when I called in my period today to get started, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my protocol is a completely natural transfer. So I would definitely ask for it if that's what you want to try!

That's awesome to hear Mojo! I emailed the nurses today to see if it's been approved. Good luck on your transfer!

Nice to see more people joining this thread :) Looks like lots of us are at BC clinics under the PCRM umbrella

IreneT - just two days to go until your transfer now! Glad the PIO shots aren't as scary as you thought, think I'll have to do my first one on Friday then every 3 days.

NewtoThis11 - I haven't done a scratch before, but that does sound a bit weird. Maybe talk to one of the nurses at the clinic about the timing if you're concerned

Scarlett Rae - I don't believe there's much difference in pregnancy rates whether it's a natural or medicated cycle, so you shouldn't worry too much. But it would still be nice to be given the option of a natural cycle if that's your preference

MoJo - sorry to hear about your struggles so far. Wishing you lots of baby dust for this cycle!

I had my lining check today, it was 8.07mm which is actually thicker than I had on my last successful FET (it was 7.7mm then). So my transfer is scheduled for next Wednesday, Mar 4! Not sure yet what to tell my work to explain why I'm taking a day off in the middle of the week...

Newtothis- sorry I just had to go back and read your post ...our scratches are always done after bleeding but before ovulation (so you have zero chance of being pregnancy) so day 5 sounds ok..mine was always between day 5-10ish

Hello!!! Joining the group :)

I have a fet transfer scheduled with Vfc on March 18. March 10 will be the key ultrasound to measure my lining.

Currently on suprefact, dexamthesone and estrogen. Curious to know if anyone else gets endo pains during this time in their cycle? I dont ever recall this with my first fet..

IVF #1 - Estrogen priming antagonist protocol. Poor responder. 6 eggs retrieved, 2 mature. 2 fertilized with ICSI. Transferred on Day 2 (one 4 cell and another 2 cell) - BFN

31 Years Old, deemed a poor responder with DOR due to severe endo (chocolate cyst on right ovary).

Am currently trying to figure out what worked for others in similar situations as me ?  th_agrr.gif

IVF #2,3, and 4 - Completed Embryo Banking with VFC (Dr Hudson). Amazing Experience. Retrieved in total 9 embryos of high quality and day 5+. yahoo.gif

FET #1 (with VFC) - June 2017. Successful, BFP, and DD born in March 2018 babygirl.gif

FET #2 (with VFC) - tentatively scheduled for December 2019

Thanks for the well wishes, CMRivf, and others! I'm 3dp5dt today. So far I've kept myself calm by staying busy. With my son I had some very specific kinds of cramps at 3dp5dt, so I'm trying hard not to get too worked up about whether or not that happens today. This embryo was not quite as advanced, so even if it does happen, it might be later.

Good luck in Victoria, MoJo! We've never regretted switching. I actually went back to Heartland this time for a second lining check (because my hospital couldn't see if my lining was trilaminar). The doctor I saw was new, and he was great, but a couple of other interactions in that brief visit reminded me pretty quickly why we're not there anymore.

IVF#1 (April 2017): retrieved one egg, fresh 3-day transfer, missed miscarriage around 7 weeks, D&C

IVF#2 (Sept 2017): retrieved 23 eggs, 22 mature, 18 fertilized, 3 frozen on day 5, no transfer

FET#1 (Nov 2017): one grade 3 blast (upgraded to grade 2 at transfer), first β-HCG of 751 at 12dp5dt, delivered my son at 39w6d by unplanned c-section

FET#2 (Feb 2020): one grade 2 early blast, first β-HCG of 480 at 11dp5dt. 7w3d ultrasound showed embryo measuring 7w2d with a heart rate of 153. Heart rate at 12w5d: 148, at 16w4d: 147

Welcome to the group, Wishing!

Scarlett - glad to hear that your natural transfer was approved! There definitely seems to be a lot of VFC patients in this bunch!

IreneT - we definitely don't regret the switch, even though we haven't been successful yet. I needed two scans for my last FET so I also did my 2nd at Heartland and it was so strange going back there after 2 years! I will be there again for satellite monitoring on Friday. When is your beta test? Will you test at home first?

Hello Ladies, I will like to join this group. I have my transfer in March. I go for scan March 6. This will be my 4th transfer since removed my tubes due to stage 4 endo. I have been on lupron depot for the past 6 months and I am worried about this transfer. Currently on estrace and aspirin. Oh, also I had cervix dilated for easy transfer, that has always been an issue for me as well. Any advise on what to do before transfer Please?

Scarlett Rae - glad you got approved for natural cycle and assisted hatching!

Wishingandhoping - I don't have endo, but there was a day or two where I was feeling nauseous and uncomfortable a couple weeks ago, and I was only on estrogen (estrace). I don't remember feeling like that with my last FET.

IreneT - congrats on being PUPO :) Yes I think keeping your mind off it will help the wait go by faster

La Noire - welcome to the forums! Hope this transfer is successful for you. I don't know if it made a difference, but for my successful FET I found some calming spa-like music and listened to that while I waited in the waiting areas before the transfer. It helped me feel less anxious anyway.

My transfer is in two days, getting close now

I’m trying it’s so hard because dd is cutting 4 teeth and just wants “mama”. I’m also still feeling like garbage from the egg retrieval and had an awful night of stomach pains and gas (yuck). My RE said it doesn’t make a difference but to try and be most careful for the 24hrs after transfer so I didn’t pick her up once during that 24hrs. I’m on day 3 now so I’m a little more relaxed. I have no clue when to start testing. I had my trigger 11 days ago so hoping if I start testing Friday (6dp5dt) I might get an accurate result. With dd (we did iui) I got my faint bfp on 7dpiui.

CMRivf I'm still waiting for my CD1 so transfer will likely be the very end of March.

Not lifting children is always a huge challenge with my transfers 😬 I have a two year old AND I am an ECE in an infant/toddler program. I'm hoping this transfer will be close to a weekend so I can relax and not life too much

Nicky - I hear you about the teeth. DD is also cutting four teeth and it hasn't been great! None of her other teeth really bothered her so these ones have been extra rough for all of us(especially for her sad.png ). I think I read that it takes about 10 days for the trigger shot to leave your system, but that was also 2 years ago so I could be 100% wrong. With our daughter I got a VERY faint positive on 8dp5dt.

Scarlett - I will update the chart! Looks like it will be pretty impossible for you to avoid lifting children for sure! I keep telling myself to stop stressing about it but that hasn't worked yet haha.

Jenny - Welcome! Sending you lots of hugs and good luck dust for your transfer next week! Are you on the same protocol as previous transfers or have they changed anything up?

Hi, Im about to start a cycle for a FET. I have thin uterine lining so I will also have to take low dose stims to thicken it enough to make implantation possible, which makes the whole process more like IVF than FET! This is baby no 2 we are trying for. We already have a lovely 2-year old.

Look forward to following all of your IVF/FET journeys!

I broke down ans tested today at 4dpt and got a faint line (which is great). I did have a trigger 11 days ago (fresh transfer) so of course it could easily still be trigger. My blood hcg was run along with a bunch of other blood work 7 days ago and my hcg was 46 (which I know was all residual trigger) so if it was 46 a week ago would it have lowered enough in the last week that this could be an actual faint positive. I know testing tomorrow will give me some more clarity (might be darker). Any insight
