My FET cycle is being canceled due to thin lining. They were only able to get me to 7mm. On to March I guess. Does anyone know how long it will be before I get my period? Good luck to you all

tabkay 5dpt is still SO early!  I had a friend who tested at home twice, right before her blood test and they were negative.  Her blood test came back positive and she just had her baby in January.  You're not out because of what that pee stick says!  And it's still so early!  I'm holding out hope for you.

Emon - So sorry to hear your cycle is cancelled!  That sucks.  I found my cycles came a bit later than usual with my cycles that had to be cancelled, hopefully it doesn't take too long and they can get your lining nice and thick for next month!

EMON- so sorry, its such a waiting game with IVF :( I hope it doesn't take much time for your cycle to regulate. As for me, I tested again today at 6dp5dt FRER digital, and still negative.

Well if my bloodwork tomorrow is what it should be, then tentatively my transfer will be on friday 21st......
I am irritated because i was made to believe i would be able to transfer 2 embryos....now at last second dr says no....but for the best im sure...
I just feel so worried about my chances when the last two failed....having a hard time thinking positive this time and that makes me sad.....

Anyone know what the odds are of third FET working after two failed?

I thought it was common practice for clinics to allow 2 if there is a history of failed transfers and/or patient's were 37 or older. Are you still at Victoria fertility? I’ve heard only good things about dr Hudson there

Nicky123 - I have also heard fantastic things about Dr Hudson, but unfortunately he left and VFC is now under new management.

BCMom - I would connect with them again and ask why you can't transfer two.  Especially with having failed transfers.  Unfortunately I feel like you have to push and advocate SO much for yourself in this process.  Given your past failure I would get aggressive and push for it if that's what you want.  Or at least ask for a reason from the doctor, most clinics will give you the choice, so I do believe it is ultimately up to you.  Sorry I do not know what success rates are after having two failed FET's, but I know that it has happened!  I'm choosing to be hopeful for you!

AFM I feel like I am in a holding pattern.  I'm on day 9 of my cycle.  Been taking my ASA and estrogen.  I have my lining check ultrasound on Tuesday and then will be booked for my transfer after that.  I'm assuming it will be somewhere around Feb 25-27 ish.  I don't remember with my past FET's how I've felt on the estrogen.  I feel not period like, but I feel something happening in my lower pelvis.  So maybe it's just my endometrium building nice and thick!  Hopefully!  But I guess things are moving towards transfer, it just feels like I am doing next to nothing!

Hi, I just posted this in a new thread but just realized there is already a thread open for Feb 2020 FET. A bit of introduction about my TTC journey - I have PCOS and started visiting MFC clinic since 2018 Oct. I did an IVF which resulted in only one PGS tested embryo. I had an ERA test which came back as pre-receptive. I transferred my embryo on Feb-12 and currently in 2WW. Im now 5dp5dt..took a HPT and it was negative :( I know its still too early test but hoping to hear some positive stories who got BFP after PGS and ERA.

I was actual able to go through with my frozen transfer after all. My lining only got to 7.5 but my doctor did not seem concerned. To be honest Im still very anxious since the lining is thin but there is nothing that can be done at this point. Hoping and praying for a positive! 2/20/20 was my transfer. March 1st is my beta. Fingers crossed!

Projectmini: thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way!! Keep us posted

Cj123: good luck with your transfer!

Thank you! It went alright although apparently i have a more 'bendy' cervix (drs own word lol) than most and this time it took longer....seemed they were having trouble with catheter....and involved some pinchy feelings....hmmmm....with different doctors things tend to go differently....funny they never mentioned it the last two times though!

Ah well fingers crossed and now to wait!:-)

Hi everyone. I would like to join the group because my transfer has been scheduled for Feb 27. Were transferring an early blast, grade 2, and we have one other one frozen. My last FET gave us our son, who is 18 months old now. (By the way, Emon1008, I was just looking over my notes and my lining was 7.6mm on day 12 with my son.)

IVF#1 (April 2017): retrieved one egg, fresh 3-day transfer, missed miscarriage around 7 weeks, D&C

IVF#2 (Sept 2017): retrieved 23 eggs, 22 mature, 18 fertilized, 3 frozen on day 5, no transfer

FET#1 (Nov 2017): one grade 3 blast (upgraded to grade 2 at transfer), first β-HCG of 751 at 12dp5dt, delivered my son at 39w6d by unplanned c-section

FET#2 (Feb 2020): one grade 2 early blast, first β-HCG of 480 at 11dp5dt. 7w3d ultrasound showed embryo measuring 7w2d with a heart rate of 153. Heart rate at 12w5d: 148, at 16w4d: 147

Irene T- thank you for your response. That gives me hope that maybe my thinner lining will be ok. Good luck with your upcoming transfer.

I am currently 3 days post FET and Ive had cramping on and off. Really feels like Im getting my period. Trying not to thing negatively 😭

Welcome Irene! My transfer is close to yours!
It is scheduled for February 25. This will be my first FET after IVF done in November with freeze all cycle (we were planning to do PGS testing).
Lining check on day 14 showed 7.6 mm and my RE said that I am good to go. However I am a bit concerned about low lining thickness, but my doctor does see a problem. So I've started progesterone shots alternating with suppositories on Thursday. Waiting for the X day.

Good luck, Emon1008. I also had cramping specifically on day 3. It felt like Id been running but I was sitting still. Then nothing for days so when I tested after 8 days, I was convinced it would be negative.

Good luck to you too, Tatsi. I was just reading a study showing that lining thickness during a FET was not predictive of success unless maybe it was below 6mm or really high. I cant remember the details though.

BC Mom - for my IVF cycle, my Dr had to use an IUI catheter (I think it's smaller) to insert the embryo because my cervix was apparently so tight.  The next transfer they didn't have any issues.  So I just wonder if the cervix is different during different cycles?  Hope you're doing ok in the wait!

Irene T - Good luck with your upcoming transfer and welcome!

Project Mini - CONGRATULATIONS!!  Isn't it the best thing to see those two lines!  What was your Beta?  I hope it was a nice strong one!

Emon- try not to think about every twinge.  It's so hard, but it drives yourself crazy!  I remember being a bit crampy.  Anytime anyone is in there poking around your cervix it can irritate things, and the cramping could be that babe settling in!  Are you going to test early at home?

Tatsi - Good luck with your transfer today!!!

AFM - my transfer is tomorrow!  I'm feeling positive about it.  I've told too many people that we are transferring this time and I don't know why that makes me think it won't work.... maybe because that's how our IVF was.  But our first embryo from this batch made a baby, and my Dr is very hopeful too, so I'm sure it will be just fine!
