Hi everyone. We have a now 31 month old who will be 3 years 2 months when hopefully LO arrives. If you were in this situation, what did you do with your older child?

We have friends and relatives in the area but asking them to be available 24x7 for 4 weeks with no notice is kind of a lot. Alot of them have their own kids. Unfortunately no grandmas in the area.

We are considering a home birth. I think our son could watch me pushing without being traumatized, but I definitely made alot of unpleasant noises going through transition that would not be very good for him to witness.

I'm thinking we will need to hire a doula. We didn't need one last time but my husband was able to 100% focus on me because there were no other kids.

I'm the same user, I just forgot my password to the older account (!)

I ended up using a doula and had a great experience with her, despite an unwanted/unexpected c section and covid craziness.

If anybody is looking for a doula in the GTA

Rebecca Robertson
She has very reasonable rates.
