Congrats on a great ultrasound, singlemama! Wonderful news Did your Dr say there was a concern with exercising at this stage? I have been exercising myself.. jogged on the treadmill the other day, lunges and light weights... also still skating once or twice a week. Hope that is still ok, from what I have read its ok to keep your normal routine.

SynchroGirl - I dont really have a doctor but the RE who did the transfer recommended avoiding exercise other than walking until the beta and I am just really nervous to start again. Yes, all the research indicates that continuing with your regular exercise is safe. I know I am being irrational but 🤷🏼‍♀🤷🏼‍♀🤷🏼‍♀. Path of least regret as they say.

Thanks Synchrogirl, and singlemamatobe- congratulations! Its wonderful to hear about your great first ultrasound! Im super nervous because of all the OHSS I went through and how I just dont know whats going on in my body anymore. I havent exercised in over a month now but to be honest, Im just glad I can walk again! First ultrasound for me tomorrow.. 🤞

Hey Synchrogirl! The ultrasound went well they had to do transvaginal to see the little pea but they found a heartbeat of 121. So far so good 🥳 although I dont feel like I have pregnancy symptoms... I honestly cannot say enough good things about Mt Sinai. The doctor and nurse team that took care of me daily during OHSS were amazing and they were all there to cheer for me during this first ultrasound. There were so many hugs and well wishes.. they are all amazing and caring people. I am going to miss them dearly.

Im really nervous about making it to the next ultrasound, but I graduated from the fertility clinic and am now transferring to the Special Pregnancy Clinic for Fertility Patients. I am awaiting a call to set up next steps from them now 🤞

Yours is in two days right? 🙏🙏 Hoping for the best!!

Singlemama and elation- great to hear about your first ultrasounds!!! Elation I'm so happy you're doing muuuuch better.

I had my ultrasound today! Heart beat 102, and my due date is September 3rd. Babe is measuring right on par with where it should be. Next ultrasound is the 23rd at 8weeks! I was a little meh on the heart beat, but they assured me it JUST started beating and will increase by week 7.
Felt a little off today. Morning sickness may be around the corner. With my daughter it started in the sixth week, so we shall see.

Hey Elation, congrats on a great first ultrasound!! so nice to be surrounded by caring people for it too! I dont really have many pregnancy symptoms either.. starting to feel a bit of nausea but nothing terrible. I can still eat . My ultrasound is tomorrow.. feeling nervous! When is your next ultrasound?

Congrats to you too treasuretroll! 102 is great. The 23rd is just around the corner too. I have no idea how often ultrasounds typically happen? this is all so new to me.

Hey synchro, my fertility clinic does ultrasounds every 2 weeks (if all looks good) so at 6 weeks, 8 and 10! Then you 'graduate' at week 10 and you go with whomever you asked to be referred to (ob, midwife, family doc etc)... Also with week 10 you stop all medications, so in my case that would be estrace and endometrin.

Oh wow, I hope my clinic does the same - would love to keep an eye on things! So you are not taking progesterone? I hate to complain but... I am majorly suffering from these daily injections. It hurts to walk (in heels especially!) and super painful when I take my pants on and off going to bathroom etc... Anyone else still doing daily PIO?

Endometrin is progesterone, but in a vaginal pill I insert 3 times a day. I had the option of taking the shot but the pill worked for me before, so I stuck with what worked!

Thanks treasuretroll! They told me they were looking for a heartbeat of 100 and above so you are still in the green! I think theres a myth that boys beat slower than girls.

Good luck with the ultrasound today Synchrogirl! Hope youre not too anxious and that all is well. My clinic seems to have already graduated me on the Special Pregnancy Clinic for Fertility Patients and I am waiting for a call from them. No next ultrasound date set yet 😶 I was hoping for more ultrasounds every two weeks like yours does!

Thanks for all the well wishes! I think Im 70-80% recovered now. I am still on prometrium, blood thinners, and thyroid medication 😞 I think they are giving me some side effects..

Thanks everyone for the good wishes 😊 had my ultrasound today... we were in complete shock to find out the embryo divided and we are now having twins! This was not on my radar as a possibly AT ALL. My husband is an identical twin himself so not sure if that had anything to do with it... Heartbeats were 158-160 and Im measuring 7 weeks 3 days, due date is Aug 25.

I think I am going to hold off on another ultrasound until my first trimester screen on Feb 6th. Im on progesterone and estrogen until 10 wks too. I am currently trying to figure out who to have as my care provider and which province to have my baby in 🤦🏼‍♀.

Thanks treasuretroll and singlemama! 😊 I will have ultrasounds every 2 weeks now, next one is the 23rd - same as yours treasuretroll! They said I dont see the Dr until 13 weeks.. not sure if thats because mine is away or if thats normal. I think Dr V can continue to be my Dr all the way through but I need to confirm that. Im an hour away from the clinic but not sure I trust anyone else at this point haha. Do you know who you plan to be referred to afterwards?

Synchro, I'll be going to the same ob I saw with my daughter. It doesn't matter to me as long as they're a doctor! My ob didn't deliver my daughter, the one on duty at the hospital did and I have nothing but great things to say about my delivery!
I just got my referral to my ob and it's when I'm at 22 weeks!!! Not gonna lie I cried. So far away. And theres the nuchal scan at 12 weeks, gestational diabetes test at 15 weeks and anatomy scan at 18-20 weeks!!!! Guess Ill have to see my family doctor for those.... a tad frustrated, but it is what it is.

Wow Synchrogirl that is amazing news!!! My husband is a twin as well but I always thought the twin gene came from the female side. Glad to hear everything is great with your ultrasound!

Aw treasuretroll, I feel your frustration. Even right now not knowing when my next scan is going to be makes me feel anxious. This is my first and I dont know what to expect!

singlemamatobe- wow deciding which province! Does that mean potentially a lot of commute time depending on where you choose? That was a low key worry for me- how far from the hospital am I going to be.

I wish I could stay with my clinic all the way through, thats amazing that you (Synchro) probably can! Im still on prometrium until ten weeks, blood thinner injections until twelve weeks, and thyroid medication for another couple weeks.

Elation - Oh no, no commuting. I am planning to move back to my hometown in BC in the fall (was planning that before I was pregnant) and may just decide to go a bit early and have my baby there. I know a bunch of providers there and I will just be able to hand them a copy of my chart and go from there. Either way I will have one of the midwives I work with provide care for me until then. I am very glad to have the option of choosing my provider. My fertility clinic here kicked me out the door as soon as I had my first ultrasound in my other pregnancies (even though they weren't normal ultrasounds) and wouldn't even answer my questions about my prescription meds prior to that. Umm, you prescribe the meds, you are responsible for managing them. This time my clinic is in Greece so I have sort of been managing my own care.

singlemamatobe - oh I see, thats awesome! It sounds like youre very comfortable with the providers over there. I wish I had the slightest notion of what Im doing. My clinic has passed me on since the first ultrasound and because of all that my body has been through and still battling with, I feel like I shouldn't go with a midwife even though I would love a more personal level of care. Im still having some abdominal gas pains thats making movement sore.
