Yeah Dory!! I'm so excited for you!!

I'm 8dp6dt today. Feeling really crampy, which is making me nervous (like AF). Also had crazy awful headaches the past couples days. Still hoping to hold out until Sunday.

I also had a progesterone level check yesterday (I wanted to be sure it was good!) and they said it was 136.5 - which is apparently super high (in a good way). Of course I googled it and my levels are at the same level if I was in a late pregnancy huh.png

Thanks Dory! I'm still feeling pretty positive and hopeful it will work out. Its so hard not to read into symptoms - is it AF? Is this a pregnancy sign? Is this from progesterone? Am I getting sick? On and on!

Is your beta on Saturday? Will you keep testing?

BabyforQ - It is so hard to not guess, right? But the progesterone sounds promising!

Newtothis - Oh no! Have you done any home testing? When is your beta?

Reading all of your posts has me impatient now to get on with this, haha. Just a couple more days until my lining check! Time was flying by but has started to drag these last couple of days.

Yaenask, no Ive held off on doing a HPT. My beta is on Thursday. I think Im going to do a HPT today just so I can let my mind rest. My clinic requires that I wait 3 months to do a FET. Is that standard protocol after completing a fresh transfer?

BabyforQ- yes it's very hard to figure out. Really, most people would not have a clue they are pregnant at this point so I doubt we are supposed to have symptoms this early. I really think a lot of the symptoms are due to the meds but who knows!! My beta is Saturday but there is no place to get blood collected on saturdays in Newfoundland so I'll get it done on Friday. And yes, I'm going to test tonight and the next two mornings lol I bought a
Million dollars worth of tests today lol

New to this- sorry to hear about the bleeding. Who knows, it could be implantation bleeding!! Maybe taking a test would ease your mind a bit. I wish you the best of luck.

Yaena- won't be long and you'll be on the tww as well!!

Dory, I did go out and get a dollar store test this afternoon. It was negative. Confirmed what I was feeling but still disappointing to see. Just out of curiosity, the dollar store tests that you bought, were they the early detection ones or just the regular? My dollar store had both types but I just got the regular one (it looks the same as in your picture)

New to this- so sorry to hear that. There is nothing worse than going through all of this only to get a negative. Believe me, I know the feeling all too well :( try and stay positive and take some time to yourself.
Not sure if they were early detection ones or not. They were in a pink box and it said they detected 25 mIU/ml whatever that means lol I think the frer detects 6mIU/ml . Hope that helps!

New - I wouldn't totally count yourself out with the dollar store test. When I had my BFP (now DD), I had a standard, cheapie test that was giving me negatives when my beta was nearly 200. I don't think they are too reliable. (Now, a FRER - I am scared of them because I trust them totally.) Regardless - hang in there. It is such a hard, long wait. As for taking three months - my clinic didn't have a set requirement (since I didn't have OHSS or any complications) - but their advice, when I asked, was to wait for my hormones to settle (though it wasn't required). In my case, I waited until my third period (so, fresh transfer in May, and I started my FET with my cycle that began in late July). Even this cycle - I had a miscarriage in late September, and they allowed me to do a FET with my next period (which is this cycle), since it was a complete natural miscarriage.

Dory - I'd be buying dozens too, haha. Just don't do what I did last time and drive yourself crazy testing multiple times a day to compare line darkness. I did 3 a day some days! This time around, I have a few FRERs but want to try and wait as long as I can to use any.

Dory, the one I bought was a 25, so probably the same as yours. I didnt think to check the early detection box to see what level it detected. Either way Im just going to continue on treating my body as if I am pregnant until I clearly get my period or my beta is negative, just in case!

YeanaSK, I still have a tiny bit of hope that my levels are just too low to detect! When I tested positive with my son I used the cheap tests that were also expired by 8 months and I still got a positive lol.

I dont know if it makes any difference with detection in regards to how far along your embryo was at transfer? Mine wasnt quite a blast yet so very early in growth stage. Maybe its just slower to get going, I dont know, Im just grasping onto straws at this point lol

New - not sure? I would be doing the same thing as you though (trying to find any and all reasons to hope). I hate offering false hope but I think you're smart to just wait until it is 100% one way or another. (And please remind me of this in a few weeks lol).

Jumping back in after being offline for a few days - nice to see some positives and hope those in the TWW that their time goes quickly until beta. To those who have gotten negatives, take care of yourself - I didn't realize how bad it would sting after our failed transfer in June.

AFM, I had my monitoring appointment this morning. My uterus was standing up (never heard tell of it before?) so the doctor couldn't confirm if my triple line was in check (I've never had lining issues before but this doesn't sit well with me of course). It was 11.2mm so just waiting on my call with blood work results to confirm I can start progesterone tomorrow. Transfer still set for Nov 19!

Dory - don't worry about that line! Things my obsessive testing taught me last cycle: only compare lines on tests taken at the same time of day, same concentration-ish (my afternoon lines were always darkest, for example - so it never looked darker from afternoon to the next morning, even with FMU). And also - give it a couple of days because one day was so subtle it was impossible to do anything but freak out. :)

Elspeth - whoa! 11mm?? That is a rockstar lining! I have never had anything over 8.9ish at my monitoring check so I am in awe!

SSB - enjoy that PUPO feeling!

Ahhh... less than 24 hours until my lining check, finally!

Anyone have any tips for how to beat the water retention/bloating from estrace? I was doing ok but in the last two days have put on 3lbs and look 5 months pregnant - I am SO uncomfortable (3lbs doesn't seem like much, but it puts me at 5 total from this round alone).

Congrats Dory! Great news.
Dont worry about the line. HPTs are designed to detect the presence of HCG, not how much. As long as the line is there its positive!! 😁
Newtothis - I think it certainly matters how developed it was at transfer. It would still be going though development before implantation. Try to keep the faith! I know how hard it is.
YaenaSK - sorry no tips for the bloat. Same a pms maybe- try to keep drinking water, low salt, maybe some yoga.....
Ssb - welcome to the TWW..... its so fun... 😬

AFM- Im 5dp6dt..... havent tested, but not feeling hopeful. Really disappointed with hearing that our embryo was such poor quality. Was trying to be hopeful, but then started googling (dont do that) and most clinics consider anything will less than 50% survival after the thaw as not viable.... mine was only 40%. Not sure when Ill test, last time I waited until the beta results and only tested after to see what a bfp looked like. Beta isnt until the 19th.

Ssb - Congrats on being PUPO! Hope the TWW goes quickly :)

Gfrench - one more week until beta! How are you feeling? Any symptoms?

AFM - I've had headaches on and off since Saturday and the last two days have had AF type cramps and low back pain. Ugh - hope its not a bad sign. Still holding on hope and remaining fairly positive. The high progesterone test on the weekend lifted my spirits a bit - but who knows what that high of a number means. My beta is on Sunday, which I'm grateful for, as it will give me the rest of the day at home to process regardless of the outcome.

Hi Everyone - congrats to the early BFPs and sending along hugs & support to those who are questioning their symptoms or worried about about numbers that may/may not be great.  This whole journey is such a roller coaster.

AFM - officially PUPO!  We transferred a 3BAO fully expanded embryo - everything in my body is crossed that it works.  After the transfer, lying on the table, it suddenly struck me what I had just done....there is a baby currently in my body.  I mean, I knew what I was getting into, but somehow the realness of it all hit me.

I LOVE POS and will probably do so everyday, but unfortunately, I'm on HCG support so I'll be getting positives as of tomorrow.  I asked the nurse if HCG support was cumulative and she said no, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to cheat by seeing if the line gets darker!  Beta is on Nov 25th - a lifetime away!

Good luck to everyone :)

Newtothis- I second the “keep the faith until there is hard evidence” sentiment. Have heard too many stories of ladies with negative HPTs and high betas!

Dory- reading into the HPTs too much prob not good for mental health! If I were you, I’d remember BabyforQ’s advice and enjoy knowing that you are a very strong PUPO smile.png

Ssb & elephantshoes- congrats on your transfers!!

Elspeth- wow awesome lining! Congrats and here is to patience for another week!

Yaena- good luck on your lining check tomorrow! Like Ssb, acupuncture has worked wonders for my bloating, but I remember you mentioning that you didn’t like that route. Perhaps lots of digestion friendly yoga and less salt? Though salt can be great for boob pain, guess it’s just picking what symptoms you are more comfortable with!

Gfrench- despite all those odds, your embryo did survive the thaw and was transferred! So that’s a bit of positive news smile.png

BabyforQ- sending you lots of patience!

Really interesting discussion re: pregnancy detection and stage of embryo transferred. I wondered this my last FET because I experienced implantation bleeding after I already started getting faint lines on HPTs. They used assisted hatching on my blast, so wondering if that impacted it at all. So much magic and uncertainty in this process! I wonder if there is more science on this? May be my next IVF research project during 2WW.

AFM- had interesting appointment with my genetic counsellor today. They apparently are finding a lot of linkages between early onset DOR and the specific BRCA1 genetic mutation I have. Don’t know if this is necessarily a good thing because nothing I can do to mitigate this at my age. But guess it is good for the younger generation, get those eggs out early! Friday is transfer day! Enjoying hot baths while I still can.

Congratulations Dory!!! That is absolutely amazing news.

Im now 5 days away from my blood test and still not feeling the urge to test... however, I do have cramping tonight (pretty substantial... anyone have experience with this?) and some light spotting. So Im not sure if thats a good or bad sign.

I also googled can too tight of pants prevent implantation? During a meeting today... so Im going a bit crazy lol!
