I had my lining check on Monday and it was not thick enough. My doctor has doubled my dose and we are going to check my lining next week. My question is, has anyone needed longer to get their lining thicker and then become pregnant with a frozen transfer? Im worried that this isnt the cycle for me if it isnt ready in the right amount of time.

IUI- tried 4 times with no luck

IVF #1-Dec 2015. Transferred one day 5-BFP. Baby boy arrived Aug, 2016

FET #1-Aug 2018 transferred one day 6-BFN

FET #2-Nov 2018 transferred two blasts- BFN

IVF #2-April 2019 retrieved 37.....15 embryos are now frozen.

FET #3-July 2019 transferred 1 4aa BFN

FET #4-Nov 2019 transferred two day 5- Miscarriage at 6 weeks

FET #5 April 2020 transferring 2 day 5 embryos- 4bb 3bb

On our first FET cycle my wife was put on estrogen for 4 weeks trying to get her lining thick enough (it didn't and fluid was in the lining so we cancelled).  Thicker lining is obviously better, but my clinic said they were willing to transfer with minimum of 6mm but preferred 7mm+.  Our 3rd FET lining was 6.9mm but was successful.  Good luck!

I had lots of trouble with a thin lining and was successful on a transfer after 33 days of lining development. There really isn't a "right amount of time" as long as the lining does not degrade, and they check this during your visits.

Returnable-thanks for telling me that, makes me feel better. I had my lining check on monday and its now 10.3. I am transferring next monday. I'm a little worried that my lining is going to degrade in the next few days. is there a way to tell? I won't be getting another ultrasound!!

Clinics have a good handle on this, so I would have to say for you to have confidence in their call. Good luck with the transfer.

Hi Dory, from what I remember, they are only concerned about your lining up to when they start the progesterone.  It is normal for the lining thickness to decrease a bit once you start the progesterone.  Good luck!
